Apply for passport book, passport card, and Global Entry ID card. All can be used as form of ID. Especially if you have a problem or issue getting the Real ID for USA travel or when you are waiting for a replacement of your lost or stolen driver's license or state ID,

I apply only of the passport book but for next time I will get both of them cause my passport expires like in 7 years more. I like to use the book cause I really like to collect stamps and keep them as a souvenir of all my trips. But I think the card is a great addition to the combo. For example I don’t have to carry a copy of my passport or my actual passport to fill a W2 etc. I think the passport book is a great combo.
I've both I like to use both and my learners permit when I get on an ✈️.The REAL ID will be on May 7,2025 so make sure you have your driver's license or another acceptable if thats REAL ID!

That’s a great question. 🤔 If you can get to Tiajuana by land, you can use a passport card. However, regarding flying from Tiajuana to Guadalajara, I think a passport card would suffice, BUT I’m not 100% sure if that’s true.

On sept 13 I apply for both I got my certificate and passport book back they both came with a red ink written with “please fix your address” but I let it be since I have it but my card hasn’t come yet idk who to contact for it
I got text messages too, a usps link where I have to pay 30 cents and confirm my address which I did on the same night I got charge 600$ thanks got I notice it immediately and called my credit and got it fix

If traveling to Mexico by land, yes-you can use a Passport card and driver’s license. So if you’re able to cross the border into Mexico by land and get to Cancún from there, you’re good. However, if traveling to Cancún Mexico by air, you will need a Passport book.

I agree. 👍 Also, you can actually apply for a Passport card at any time. You don’t have to wait until your Passport book expires.

Can I travel to CanCun Mexico with passport card ?
