Beretta Pico. Smallest, thinnest out there. Love the trigger too. Laugh at the bad reviews. Mag release is perfect for pocket carry to keep from disconnecting. Trigger breaks smooth and is the safety. Perfect micro shooter.
My browning BDA 380acp which is almost identical to the Beretta Cheetah will also out perform anything on your bench. All steel with double stack 13 round mag. I’m a big guy with large hands and this is my #1 concealed carry. I recently qualified with it on a 40 round course and lost one in the 9 ring @ 25 yards. The only negative thing I can say about this little handgun is that I tried to give it to my granddaughter to carry and shoot but she was unable to rack the slide by hand or push the mage release button. I got her a S&W Ladysmith and was sooooo relieved and glad to get my Browning BDA back.😎
My carry .380acp is the S&W Bodyguard without the laser. I easily stay within a 10" circle at 25 yards with it. Great little gun! My other two main carry guns are in 9mm and .45acp
Bersa thunder wasn't one of my choicee, but when I was buying mine, an old timer saw me trying to decide which one to buy, he came to me and told me... Young man, stop wasting your time looking at all this guns and get that one over there.. yeah that one, the bersa thunder 380, the best gun for your buck, reliable, durable, and never jam, that's my carry gun now, no regrets buying it.
I have a Glock 42 and a Bodyguard. Both fine pistols that I carry often during the summer. I carry heavier caliber. Glocks during the winter. Good review
@@samadler9253 That comment cracks me up. Every one of those 380's is a means of firing, John Browning's caliber. Browning made the round, Colt made the first pistol to shoot it. Why would anyone want a knock off, when you can own an original? If you can even find one these days, the gun goes for $700 to $800. The reason it's not in the top 6, is because you can't find one. Funny comment though....................
Good review, thanks. I looked at several of these and went with the Ruger LCP II, made in my home state of Arizona. I think it was the lightest of all the pistols you showed and is great for pocket carry.
Nice to see both my favorites made the list. My Sig has over 2000 rounds without a failure. Also, The Sig P238 has a 7 round mag and the Bersa has after market 9 & 10 round mags. The 9 round for Bersa is a nice addition and I highly recommend it. Both are quite accurate. Thanks for another helpful comparison and great review.
I love my lcp 2 it’s been reliable and accurate at 7 yards I shoot at different distances but 7 yards seems to be a good range to compare for accuracy I’ve only had it to the range once but going again in a few days!

I have a large hands, and need a larger grip surface. I chose the Browning 1911-380 for my carry. It is easy to hold so I can be a lot more accurate than most other 380 pistols I've shot. It is 8+1 and weighs about a pound loaded.
I have the colt Government steel frame .380acp w/3 7rounder magazine just dropped sigs 238 ambidextrous safety and hammer. WORKS GREAT tested in range ordered full length guide rod and flat recoil spring for $69. 3.25inch Barrel w/ barrel bushing. $375 I paid local gun shop I made a white dot drilled into front blade and put white out and made rear round like 911 .380acp by Springfield Armory. Steel frame is more balanced and durable and more accurate not as heavy for me. Used one is around $699 I looked in most websites.

Seems like the older Beretta metal 380 acp pistols are more liked than Berettas newer Pico 380 ACP (which I have). However I cant complain about it except it had some Problems at the beginning. When I started EDC I was opting for the NAA Guardian 380 ACP or the Pico 380 acp. The Pico was cheaper and the Guardian not availlable back then. Expect the Pico to break the firing pin if dry fired and the main spring gets weak easily (but can be Stretches by Hand to have the original length again). I wonder why people dont consider the Pico since it's by now about 200$ and is by far the most Quality made pocket gun in polymer on the market (all is stainless and the modular polymer grip is sturdy Nylon).
Colt MK IV / Series 80 Mustang 1000s rnds thru it. Recently replaced sear spring. Everything else still like new. Absolute best tool I've ever owned. Factory ammo is too pricey; load your own, much less expensive. Good shooting to you. God Bless & remember " Shall Not Be Infringed"

Tip to anyone who is curious about Smith&Wesson EZ model for 9mm and 380 ACP. I bought the 9mm version and the slide is about 10-20% easier to pull back, but my mom still has issues with it and has wrist issues, and in general at her middle age and as a woman, she has less grip strength. I later bought the 380 ACP version which happened pretty recently in the summer of 2022, and this is due to me trying out another person's EZ 380, and boy was the slide moving as smooth as butter. However I bought my own as a brand new gun, and although it wasn't super loose like my friend's, I would say the slide is about 40%-50% smoother/loose. HOWEVER. Keep in mind of these differences - 9mm EZ tends to have these weird grooves on its grip safety while the 380 regular version has a flat grip safety. - the EZ 380 performance center version may come in black and silver instead of gold - most importantly the magazine. The 9mm EZ magazine is much easier to pull down, which I vaguely remember my friend mentioning, and the nub/tabs on the 9mm are more comfortable and sticks out more slightly. It is very uncomfortable to do that with the 380 EZ magazines and the spring has more tension. Other than that, I think if I put 500 to 1k rounds, the slide will become as smooth/loose as my friends but even as a new gun straight out of the box, it is QUITE loose. In my experience, I actually shoot my S&W M&P Shield 2.0 perf center, the shield plus perf center, and my 9mm EZ perf center slightly more accurately than my P365 XL, although recently I got the hang of it and found it was my finger/trigger control that was lacking, as I'm still a new gun owner from early 2020. 380 ACP hollow point is a viable choice for self defense but the 9mm has more energy and velocity. But don't shy away from 380 ACP because it does just fine. However if you don't have a wrist issue, the 9mm works just fine but grip texture wise, Shield Plus would be best. Keep in mind all of the S&W guns I mentioned are all single stack except for Shield Plus which comes in two barrel lengths I believe, as well as a perf center version. Please check out this vid from GY6vids in my comment below to see ballistic gel results of how effective 380 ACP is when tested.
I have an Alien Gear holster for my Colt .380 Gov. When I first got the holster, the gun was a bit loose in it. A friend of mine, who is a gunsmith showed me what to do for that. I would have never thought of, the boiling water routine. Worked like a champ, the holster is now tighter than a crabs ass, and that's waterproof. The gun is no longer loose, and it fits to a T. Great holster.

New to CC,MY FIRST PURCHASE WAS MY SIG P238 380 LEGION,I CHOSE IT BECAUSE OUT OF ALL GUNS I LOOKED AT IN 380,THE SIG FELT BEST.IT EVEN MAKES ME LOOK GOOD AT THE RANGE DUE TO IT'S ACCURACY,LOL,IT'S MY EDC,AND WHEN I BOUGHT IT THERE WAS A SALE I WAS UNAWARE OF AND PAID $400,BRAND NEW,CARRY CASE,3 MAGS IN FEB 2020.JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT A SIG P226,ANOTHER GREAT SHOOTER,NOW I'M GOING LONG GUN,HOPE TO LUCK OUT AGAIN,WE'LL SEE,REMEMBER,3 WAYS TO CURB SOCIALISM,1-LOCK AND LOAD,2-AIM,3-FIRE
those lightweight pocket pistols like the BG 380 and LCP have a big kick for smaller people. very easy to carry since they're so light, but will need to try them out at the range before buying to make sure the recoil handling isn't an issue. the heavier guns or those with thicker recoil springs, like the p238 and 911 and kimber micro, have much better handling, but are also more expensive, and have a single action only trigger with manual safety that some people may not like for concealed carry.
Yes haha, there were 7! I generalized the micro 1911s as their own category and just really wanted to throw that second choice as option because I couldn't choose between the two! - Tim
About 40 years ago, I brought Colt M-1903 cal. .32 ACP in excellent shape for $250.00 at county store in NH. I think it is nice conceal firearms. I also brought Browning 1922 .380 (9mm kutz) in excellent shape for $85.00. I think it is good conceal firearms for protection. I was robbed for a jewlery by Arab gang in April 2019 and I tried to get CCW from state of MD my new home town. My firearms instructor think otherwise.

I love my Walther PK .380 gen2.. great pistol, it gives you Abit more of a grip to hold on to but it comes at the expense of concealability.. just another option.
Thanks for your 380 comparisons. I have the Bersa Thunder 380 and it's the most comfortable to shoot thanks to the extra weight you mentioned. I also have the SCCY CPX-3 that came with 3, 10 round magazines. In addition, my smallest 380 is the Ruger LCP II. I have a correction, the LCP II actually is a single action hammer fired pistol. The hammer is cocked to about 95% when the slide is racked. A short pull after take up on the trigger releases the hammer.
We appreciate the feedback and correction. Sounds like you have got a lot of experience with them too. Thank you for watching! If you would like to see videos similar to this, please subscribe to our channel, and check out our website to find your next holster. aliengearholsters.com/

Great video - Thanks. Question: Why does everyone only show the right side of their guns? Most all of the controls are on the left. If you are only going to show one side of a pistol, make it the left, not the right.

I bought three Ruger CPL II for my wife and daughters for $269.00 each.. Amazing accuracy and concealable. Also bought 7 round magazines. Great hand gun.
Without hesitation the P238 is the best of the best 380 autos .I carry one during the summer. Great option!! Comes with night sights. I got the equinox version.
sycamorebacker1 - Definitely. It’s a well thought out pistol from start to finish. Also Well worth the cost in my opinion. This particular lil gun saved my life one evening while on my bike. 4 people thought they could just take my bike. That lil 380 auto had other ideas 😂🚴♀️💡
Another very well made 380 is from Slovakia, the Grand Power CP380. I have one, and love it. The barrel is fixed to the frame, and accuracy is outstanding.
Here's a simple rule of thumb for those trying to make a decision about this topic. If you prefer to carry your gun in a holster and can do so legally and practically, don't bother getting a .380. There are plenty of smaller lightweight 9mm guns out there now which will do the job much better, plus other slightly heavier small guns in stronger calibers as well. On the other hand, if you are like me, consider a micro .380 for personal carry. I work somewhere you can't carry a holster without it being noticed by every nervous ninny in the building who will promptly call the cops, plus I have certain other physical issues to where any concealment holster would be too uncomfortable no matter which model I chose. I keep other guns in my vehicle and at home for most emergencies, yet I still need a no-excuses gun to take with me for dire situations. If this sounds like you, by all means a .380 is a great choice. Just get the lightest smallest gun you can to keep in a pocket or slip into a zippered area. As for grip and recoil, that's what practice is for! I have a Kel-Tec P3AT, and while I'm not fond of the long trigger pull, the gun is incredibly lightweight and shoots reliably. I am also looking at getting a Ruger LCP 2, but have not had the chance to do so just yet. Such guns can be rather snappy, but if you use a decent grip and put in some time getting used to the recoil, you can definitely control one and put all of your shots on target. Just don't expect to drill the X-ring at fifteen yards because you're more likely to need the gun at fifteen feet anyway.
Agree with everything you say here. I have larger guns but I live in Florida. The small .380’s are always with you. I started with the Bersa Thunder CC, which I still have and like, but I went to a P3AT which I carried for years. I had a buddy who kept bugging me about it so I let him have it. I replaced it with the LCP 2. Really good gun, but your fine with the P3AT. The only difference I can tell is the longer trigger pull with the P3AT. I have friends, and a son, who tell me to carry something larger instead of a “mouse gun.” But I’m fine with it. Inside of self defense range, ten yards or so, it’s fine. And I always have it with me. A .380 in your pocket is better than a .45 in the truck. I will carry a .45, glock 30 sf, or a Glock 20 (10mm) if I am hiking in the mountains of NC or the west. But for social work, the .380 is fine.
From what i understand, the first rule in a gun fight is " HAVE A GUN" and that usually means small( mine is a RM380)and here in the USA we have some GREAT CHOICES$$!?😳😃😁
It is a pre-cocked hammer like a Walther PPX. The trigger feels more like a striker fired pistol. Also a good reason to carry it in an excellent holster the protects the trigger.
Wow, your video is great, thanks! I'm a big proponent of the .380 cartridge and tend to collect .380 pistols. THANK you for not including the first version LCP in your list. While popular, it's really not a very good pistol. LCPII is Ruger's redeemer. My favorite .380 is the Beretta 85, but it's not the most approachable due to cost. If I were to pick just one it would be the Glock 42. I am not a "glock guy" by nature, but the G42 is a great piece. My pocket pistol is a S&W Bodyguard 380.

I have the Sig Sauer P238 and I love it. I can handle it easy and not much recoil for an arthritic hand. Very accurate also.
I prefer the p938 in 9mm. But anything Sig makes is superior.
Sigs are great guns!

My choice for the .380.

The Remington RM380 is a very nice choice in a pocket 380.
what about the colt mustang and the walther ppk verses the replica ?
Bersa thunder wasn't one of my choicee, but when I was buying mine, an old timer saw me trying to decide which one to buy, he came to me and told me... Young man, stop wasting your time looking at all this guns and get that one over there.. yeah that one, the bersa thunder 380, the best gun for your buck, reliable, durable, and never jam, that's my carry gun now, no regrets buying it.
That's awesome!
Compact guns like Bersa Thunder and Glock 42 are more reliable and shootable than micro-sized pocket pistols.
I have carried the Bersa Thunder 380 for years now. Never failed me. Always goes bang.
I have a Glock 42 and a Bodyguard. Both fine pistols that I carry often during the summer. I carry heavier caliber. Glocks during the winter. Good review
Smith and Wesson bodyguard for the win!
I like our Keltec P3ATs. They eat anything they're fed and have never failed to function perfectly.
I've had one for 10 years love it!
James 44 MAG
My daily carry gun is a 3AT.
Love it
taavey 👍
Where can i buy a kal-tec 380
Purchased a Nickel Colt Government 380 back in 88', still carry it to this day.............
Still NOT in the top 6!
Yup, got an earlier 80’s nickel Colt 1911 in .380 but it was a little too small for my hands. Still have and still love it😎
Smart man, great gun.
Still carry my blue Gov't. .380! Perfect carry piece!
The Sig is indeed worth the money.
Original LCP with a Technaclip (no holster needed!) and my Bersa Thunder .380 are my 2 CC guns
I love my lcp 2 it’s been reliable and accurate at 7 yards I shoot at different distances but 7 yards seems to be a good range to compare for accuracy I’ve only had it to the range once but going again in a few days!
Love mine
Colt Mustang
I’ve carried the Taurus TCP 738 for years. Fire it often. Never a problem. Likes every ammo brand I’ve fed it. Been a good gun on the cheaper side.
There's a reason Taurus has been the world's leading gun manufacturer.

I am an over 60 yr old female. I use the Sig P238, Berterta 92FS, Ruger LC9, Taurus G2 and many many more. The P238 is the dream gun for me to carry
Thanks for watching! We are so delighted to hear that you have found a firearm that works for you so well!
Walther PPK/S Heavy but World Famous
fleetwood tusk it’s the only carry pistol I’ve ever owned that broke a firing pin on the range! Strange
Had one
Sold it to friend who needed a pistol.
I could just kick myself.
The names James
James Bond
I have a large hands, and need a larger grip surface. I chose the Browning 1911-380 for my carry. It is easy to hold so I can be a lot more accurate than most other 380 pistols I've shot. It is 8+1 and weighs about a pound loaded.
Daymon Jones I have the same, so does my wife and we love ours!
That’s great pick, loved it, even my 19years old son wants one.
The LCPII is hammer fired, NOT striker fired.
Yes , Its hammer is hidden so well it is a common mistake But are we not supposed to "READ THE MANUAL"
gerald okland Thanks for the facts & support for the .380. I carry my LCP and, more importantly, shoot it often.
I carry a Keltec .380 for deep concealment and a Springfield XDs 9 for every day.
The Thunder + carries 15 rounds and the trip is a little wider
The Taurus Spectrum is an amazingly accurate little pocket pistol
The M&P .380 EZ is the best of the bunch. Low recoil, full size grip to hold. An absolute pleasure to shoot.
Sounds like it took a lot of work, but that it was worth it! Sounds like a great setup!

Also remember the beginning: "A well regulated militia...."
Ruger LCP 2 !! Shoots great and easy on the pocket.
A number of other people have suggested that one too. A great gun, but we don't recommend shooting out of your pocket. 😂 😂

Taurus spectrum!!!!!! Best pocket 380 u can buy. And one of the best to shoot !!!
HOWEVER. Keep in mind of these differences
- 9mm EZ tends to have these weird grooves on its grip safety while the 380 regular version has a flat grip safety.
- the EZ 380 performance center version may come in black and silver instead of gold
- most importantly the magazine.

How about the Colt Mustang? No longer in production?
Short shrift for the Kimber Micro. Best of the bunch for edc.

I use a AMT backup and am happy with it ,single action model
Great video...but...am I the only one who counted 7?
Yes haha, there were 7! I generalized the micro 1911s as their own category and just really wanted to throw that second choice as option because I couldn't choose between the two! - Tim
@@Aliengearholsters yes it is very hard to choose between Kimber and Sig. Lol
Good review, but you’ve missed the classic legend Walther PPK/S 9mm ( .380 ) originating from German PPK 7.65 mm .....🤦♂️🤷♂️😉
Been carrying my Colt 380 government Nickle since 88' 3 1/4" barrel.............real steel/ no plastic....................
Walther PPK - my favorite when I was LEO
We appreciate your service.
You missed the Beretta 84. High capacity and compact.
Best.
Would love a cheetah just for shits n giggles but not for deep CC.
My wife has a Bersa 380, and she loves it.
I once had a Beretta 86 in 380. Should have kept it.
I gotta say the M&P Shield 380 Ez is a strong contender against any other .380
My Wife & I just love it!
The Shield is a solid choice for sure!
A new great 380 is the baby , great to shoot, reliable beautiful 1911
Baby rock
Very well presented. Thank you.
Beretta Cheetah! The absolute best.380 available. A natural shooter

Love my Thunder.380,holds 8+1 too
I love my Walther PK .380 gen2.. great pistol, it gives you Abit more of a grip to hold on to but it comes at the expense of concealability.. just another option.
Thanks for the suggestion! There are definitely a lot of great contenders.
Great review! The LCP II is hammer fired, and not a striker mechanism as you stated, I believe!
Yes , The hammer is hidden by the slide
Like my Walther PK 380. Feels good in the hand. Good shooter.
Browning 1911 380 acp is by far the best 380. I’ve been edc it for over 3 years and never had a problem at all. Great video though

Question: Why does everyone only show the right side of their guns? Most all of the controls are on the left. If you are only going to show one side of a pistol, make it the left, not the right.

A gun's ejection port is sexy.
How good would the ankle holster be for the 380 EZ?
I've the Bodyguard. Skip the laser.
I bought three Ruger CPL II for my wife and daughters for $269.00 each.. Amazing accuracy and concealable. Also bought 7 round magazines. Great hand gun.
Jim Hampton yeah I love my lcp 2
SAving up 4 Sccy CPX 3 4 the Wife. Daughter carries a CPX2 4 longtime now. She has shot all types of ammo thru it w/o a problem! Good review TY
Thank you so much for watching out video and providing us with your feedback!
Without hesitation the P238 is the best of the best 380 autos .I carry one during the summer. Great option!! Comes with night sights. I got the equinox version.
i got one for my grandma she LOVES it
I like mine because you can carry uncocked and there is 0 probability of an accident around children.
sycamorebacker1 - Definitely. It’s a well thought out pistol from start to finish. Also Well worth the cost in my opinion. This particular lil gun saved my life one evening while on my bike. 4 people thought they could just take my bike. That lil
380 auto had other ideas 😂🚴♀️💡
Another very well made 380 is from Slovakia, the Grand Power CP380. I have one, and love it. The barrel is fixed to the frame, and accuracy is outstanding.

How about the Beretta 84?
Excellent quality and choice but too big by comparison
The LCP 2 is hammer fired not striker fired.
You're totally correct. He should know this stuff, if he gonna make a video.
You definitely know your guns! Thank you for the kind words about the video, and we really do appreciate you being a part of our UA-cam community.
