John Schauer, Yamaha Live Sound Product Specialist, gives us an overview of the NEW Yamaha MG Mixers featuring some great new features, such as, USB I/O, new FX, and more.
So, I have 5 logitech speakers and 1 bass ( logitech X-530) and i want to buy the YAMAHA MG-06. Will all the speakers work? Can I use a microphone with the mixer? Thanks in advance!
I have two questions that you might be able to help me with. (1) I'm using Audacity to record my sound tracks. At some point, the program stops - freezes. Is it possible that the Yamaha is running too HOT.. Also, (2) the Audacity program won't recognize my voice when it's coming from my headset, through the Yamaha. I have to download the driver to the Yamaha in order for it to process into my Audacity as well as my DEVICE system in my computer - Windows 10. Have you ever had problems like this with the Yamaha MG10XU?
you connect it to your computer and then whatever sound is going into the mixer it comes out in whatever program..Fl Stududio..Garage Band..Ableton Live... Logic etc... works as an audio interface.
Casey Trombley Yes, you are able to configure your DAW to recognize each channel as a separate input, at which point your tracking is only limitted to the processing power of your computer and the speed of your drives. If you start having clicks and pops you need to adjust input settings. This is a simplified explanation, but the short answer to your questions is yes. :)
couple dollars-that is the key words.-optional rack mountable-oh!-thats' great. Thats like getting a guitar amp with optional foot switch-Oh boy!!!!!-Thats' like getting a new car with optional spare tire and of coarse an optional jack.
does this mg 10xu have a variable voltage controller as in singapore uses 220-240 voltage, whereas USA uses 110 voltage?
thnks

What does the USB actually do? No demos actually show what you can do with that, just wondering if its worth the extra $

sweet, so it comes through as each separate channel I guess?

thanks for the input (pun intended) !
The specs at the Yamaha site say that the USB connection is only 2in/2out, so no multichannel recording...
