  • The Sony ZV-1 camera is a fantastic, compact camera but for vlogging, the lens could be wider, it also comes with a limited internal ND filter but when you want more control and really want to dial in your settings you can add the JJC Filter Adapter and Lens Cover kit (the JJC RN-RX100VI ) to your Sony ZV-1 camera to enable you to use external ND filters and wide-angle lens adapters.
    In this video I unbox, install, and test out the JJC RN-RX100VI filter adapter and lens cover kit and the K&F Concept Nano-X ND2-ND32 52mm ND filter.

    can you thread a variable nd onto the wide angle to get the best of both worlds?

    Has the adhesive held up these past few years?

    I think this is a good video as I've been looking for someone to test an adapter and see whether the motor can stand the extra weights introduced by the adapter and the filter.
    Using this K&F filter, did it in a way affect the output of your still-photos and videos? My concern is more in term of sharpness.
    Thanks.

      Hey Halim, Thanks for your comment - I personally cannot see any difference in the image sharpness (when looking over my 4k recorded footage) but no doubt it won't be as good as just using the native lens. I guess it depends on how "chrisp" you really need your footage.

    Hi Bobby, thanks for sharing this video. I'm very interested to trying n buying the K&F concept 52 mm variable ND lens filter that you use in this video. Can you give me advice on where to buy it ? Is this filter lens still available at the K&F concept store ? I want to use it on the Sony ZV 1 that i just bought..

      Hey there... The Sony ZV1 is a great camera - congrats on your new purchase :) With regards to the K&F Concept 52mm variable ND filter, I purchased mine from Amazon, here is the link to the exact one: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LL1TEO0/
      Hope this helps :)

    Hi Bobby, I just wanna ask if you can just directly put the lens cap without the nd filter adapter? I just wanna buy this just for extra protection to the lens of my zv 1, since I quite dont trust the built in automatic lens protection. Hope to hearing from you! Thanks!

    • @TheBearTech
      @TheBearTech  3 роки тому

      Hi Raymund, No, you cannot add a lens cover without the ND filter adapter. It is the ND lens adapter that provides the ability to put on the lens cap. The ND filter adapter does come with the lens cap though. Without the ND filter adapter though, there is no way for a lens cap to "attach". I hope this helps :)

      @@TheBearTech thanks for your reply. Have you tried taking off the nd filter adapter? If so, was it hard to take it off?

    • @TheBearTech
      @TheBearTech  3 роки тому +1

      Hey @Raymund - No, I haven't attempted to take off the ND filter adapter off, I plan to keep it attached for good as i personally see little reason to want to take it off ;) I love the fact that using a lens cap, it adds that extra level of protection against dust getting into my lens etc.

    this is great video! do you know fisheye lens that can fit to that adapter?

    • @TheBearTech
      @TheBearTech  2 роки тому

      Thats for the kind words. In regards to the fisheye lens - I'm not sure which fish eye lens you mean (there are several) but if you have a link (and could reply to this comment) to it I could confirm either way. The main point here is to make sure that whatever you "want" to connect to this lens adapter is that it MUST have a 52mm thread, if it does then it will fit :)

      Yes it does Rafi - I actually did a video using that excact wide-angle lens and attaching it to this JCC lens adapter - you can see the video here if you'd like: ua-cam.com/video/9Toql7y1bWk/v-deo.html

    Excellent video Bobby - thanks for sharing 👍 I also vlog with the same camera here in Sydney and wasn't aware of the adaptor as the internal ND just doesn't cut it in many situations. I'm going to rush out and get these now 👍👍 Subb'd 😉

      Good evening Brian, thank you for your kind words and I appreciate the sub :) I'm really pleased that this video was useful to you, and yes, I totally agree - the external ND filter(s) are so much better than internal ones. Thanks again Brian! I'll pop over to your channel and check out some of your content too :)

      Good evening @Brian Smith, I've not actually been to Glencoe as yet given the new COVID-19 restrictions that have been put in place here in the UK however as soon as they are lifted I will be heading streight there :) - I'll be sure to check out your videos this evening!

    Is the lens adapter removable ??

    • @TheBearTech
      @TheBearTech  2 роки тому

      The lens adapter is stuck on with a "sticky pad" so although you could remove it you would need to "pull it off" or slide something between the lens adapter and the lens barrel in order to remove the sticky pad's adhesion. I don't suspect it would be too easy to remove it as it does hold very well. I hope this helps :)
