- My wife recently bought a Sony RX100VI. It has quickly become my go to camera for nearly everything I have been shooting recently. The image quality is amazing, and the portability is unbeatable. In this video, I go unbox and install the newly released Sony RX100VI Lensmate Filter Adapter. We also go over the Hoya 52mm Digital Filter Kit and unbox and install the Larmor Glass Screen Protector. These simple items greatly expand the capabilities and uses of the Sony RX100VI.
The next step is to purchase a 52mm to 77mm step up adapter to use some of my 10 and 16 stop filters with the RX100VI for ultra long exposure photography. - Комедії
Thanks for the info, I just ordered the 7 and will probably need this!
Very informative.Been looking for a way to use filters with my RX. Thanks for the help
Hey thanks for this excellent video. I didn't know these we available and this really does put my new RX100MkV1 at the top of my camera to go tree! Pity the LensMate adaptor isn't available here in the U.K, so had to order via the USA store which seems weird. Anyway all ordered and looking forward to receiving the package. Thank you once again.
Great video. Would love to see a video of how you shoot long exposure with the nd filter.
Also I recommend the Sony grip which makes hand holding easier.
Much appreciated! Good tutorial 4 my M7.
Hi Austin, nice setup and video. I’m looking at getting the same kit unless Sony brings out a Mark VII before summer. Are you Toronto based? I ask because I recognized the CanJam / CSCS Subaru. I was the original photographer for CSCS when we first started the series back in 2003 up till about 2010 or so. Spent many days up at Toronto Motorsports Park (Cayuga) and the other tracks that we had events at.
Lensmate really should have included a backing plate to protect the filter assembly whilst removed, then you would not have needed to disassemble yours. Perhaps you could adapt something for that purpose. Also, you can power on the camera in gallery mode only, without the lens extending, which would surely make installing the screen protector easier.
Just curious. What tripod are you using... Thanks for sharing.
is there any vignetting from 24 to 200 when shooting stills?
HI Austin,
great video. I have just ordered a SONY RX100 V1 and was looking for a filter kit. This seems to be a good choice.
1. Are you happy with it, and does it cause any dark edges?
2. Are you happy with the quality of the Hoya kit?
Thank you
Vincent
He doesn't deem to answer questions. You understand, when you are busy creating content for 142 subs, there just isn't time.
Hallo, does anybody has removed the adhesive ring? I woul dlike to know if it can be removed without leaving leftover of adhesive on the camera? Thanks, Jens

I have a question, now that you've set up the lensmate on your camera, how do you put wide angle lens on your rx100?
You need more light to make these videos.
Use 1 before on my RX100 4 ..not portable & friendly to use as well ..just my opinion thks
Damn. I was interested but looking at it from the side when it’s mounted... ugly af
minimise your mouth wiping sound mannerism, it annoys your listener like wiping a horse in the back
