Yes, drum tuning is a thing. Here's a quote from an interview with Danny: "In the studio I always try to tune the toms to the key of the song. Sometimes this doesn't work to well because all drums have a very limited range that they will resonate and project in, but usually I am able to get close to one of the notes in the dominate triad. Because 90% of Tools songs are in D, I always try to have them tuned to D, F, and A when playing live." The notes in the "dominate triad" are just the notes of the main chord. So if they're playing in the key of D minor, those notes will be D, F, and A. When it comes to Danny you've got to realize a couple things. He studied music for over three years at the University of Missouri and would have earned his degree in percussion, but he an opportunity to go on the road with a band. Years later he studied with Aloke Dutta, a Indian Drum master, learning the system of Indian tabla playing. He's also really in to sacred geometries and even perhaps numerology. This dude is so into his craft it's like a religion to him, and he's a high priest. That's the level that he operates on. For him it's all about expression through his art, and he works constantly to push that art forward, in his own way. By the way, what you guys are doing is really cool. Keep it up! Thanks!

They announced they were recording. I mobbed from the upper seats down onto the floor and was standing 15' from the stage when they played and recorded this.

I don’t even understand how the same song is completely different live and called something different and I been a fan since ‘93 but it’s true and it’s sick.
Was kinda hoping George would peep the lyrics tho. Absolutely one of Maynard’s finest moments about a relationship that has gone wrong. Chills during that last section every time.
I never liked that perspective of the lyrics. After starting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and finding out Maynard is a brown belt in BJJ, this song takes such a different, humorous tone about the suffering of a white belt at the hands of an advanced jiu jitsu practitioner. Its more of a conversation between the two. "Choke this infant here before me".
This goes without saying, but y’all absolutely have to react to the Salival version of Pushit now. It’s transcendent. Perhaps Maynard’s most impressive vocal performance ever

Push It is the song that got me into Tool. Adam's opening guitar riff and Maynard's vocal... I was instantly hooked and the rest they say is history. Forever a member of the Tool Army.
Pushit is among the songs that accurately represents Tool and their sound. But I swear if you guys don't react to Vicarious or Jambi, I'm gonna fly my ass to Vegas, kidnap ya'll, glue some Beats headphones to your heads and force you to listen to both of those songs... and maybe a couple more Deftones songs too
I'm really an odd duck when it comes to Vicarious. Out of the entirety of tools catalogue, it is the only song that i don't gel with. I mean, i don't mind it, but... yeah, just has no impact on me for some reason.
@@TroublesomeOwl to be honest, when 10000 days came out, not much of the album gelled with me. But I gave it a couple listens and now some of the tracks are up with my favs. Like Jambi
Ænima was an absolute juggernaut of an album when it dropped in 96. A couple of tracks from Undertow gave them worldwide acclaim, but this album cemented them as absolute behemoths of progressive metal with mainstream rock appeal. Even the 'filler' tracks were interesting (Message to Harry Manbeck, an angry voicemail left by an italian dude who failed to gatecrash a party, set to some soothing but slightly sinister piano music, for one), nevermind the actual tracks and accompanying music videos. As great as Pushit is, damn near every track on the album is at that level, and has the same complex-but-cohesive feel you guys were picking up in this one
Best album of the 90s. Hearing Stinkfist - or Track 01 as they called it on MTV - on my shitty little clock radio as a 13 year old did something to my brain, I was obsessed, and I still get goosebumps when I hear it. Wish I could go back and hear it all again for the first time as a 13 year old.
Aenima was and is absolutely amazing. It kept the angst from undertow but polished like their later records. Then lateralus traded out some of that angst but kept the polished nature and layering. Not to mention some of the album art was so great for Aenema.
Alright, a comment about the actual version of the song featured in the reaction...and an insightful one too. Really, so much can be said about this song, its rather unique.
My favorite Tool song. The instrumentation on the second half of the song to me is the finest, most progressive, and beautiful sound in the history of prog rock/metal. It’s pure art and Danny’s drumming is my personal favorite of his catalog.
I always liked this song, but hearing it live on Salival made me love it. I suppose you've already heard a live version, but I would suggest you check that version out sometime.
Seeing the kinds of songs you two have liked - I feel like Ticks & Leeches would be a banger for you two. Danny Carey makes his kit sound like a freight train, and Maynards voice is raw... FAV UA-cam CHANNEL BTW.
Making this comment without even seeing your reaction. This is my favorite TOOL song ever. The Salival version is immaculate! I am sooo glad you are reacting to it. Can’t wait to watch. I’m super excited that this is back on their rotation live. Unbelievable song! You guys are the best! Much love!
Great reaction guys. Push-it is my favourite Tool song I’m not sure why, but it’s an emotional roller coaster for me in a good way. I’ve listened to this song well over 500 times and it still gives me goosebumps.
My drink came out my nose when Salt & Pepa hit 😂😂😂 But yeah, this is a top tier Tool tune. As I'm sure tons of fans have already said, the live version off Salival is essential.
I saw Tool for the 4th time on 01/19/22 San Diego show I had 5th row floor seat center section. Tool is the best!!! I also got a band autographed concert poster with extra art work added by Adam Jones!!
There is still no line sung in any song i have heard that physically hits me like "I must persuade you another way." I watched this and wondered at their lack of reaction to that line, and was a little baffled. lol
It's not just that line, it's the whole thing: "If when I say I might fade like a sigh if I stay You minimize my movement anyway, I must persuade you another way." It's a very poignant line in a very poignant song about domestic abuse. I first heard that line when I was 16 years old back in 1996 and to this day it is my favorite line from any song. Thankfully, I have never personally been involved in any abusive relationship in my childhood or adulthood. Pushit has always been a song I've looked back at as a reminder of why I should never allow myself to be abusive or be the abused.
If you guys liked this the live salival version is my favorite song of all time. They kinda reimagine the song if you guys feel like checking it out in your free time.
Was JUST reading comments to see which version they listened to. Pushit is a masterpiece. Pushit (comfortable space version) is from another dimension altogether - the Salival dimension
Love this. I'm 36 and having been enjoying this masterpiece for 20 years now. Glad you've got there. This album (IN MY OPINION) is the definitive album in Tool's discography. This album is where they move from one genre and transcend to the prog they are commonly now known. Try third eye. In your own time obviously. It sound so fresh. It's almost 30 years old.
I’ve been a tool fan a very very long time and I used to agree that Aenima was their best album but the older I’ve got and the more “into” the music I’ve gotten, I think Lateralus is their magnum opus. When you put the album in the right order and listen to it cover to cover, it’s an experience
AEnima is a masterpiece album. Tool’s finest. Best record of the 90’s. Up there with best albums of all time. It’s funny, it’s not my favourite 90s album personally, but I know, without question, it is the best record of that decade. Eulogy and Third Eye are must reactions when you get there, I’d like to see you guys rock out to the more radio friendly Stinkfist too.
Aenima was a beautiful progression from undertow and the perfect lead in to lateralus. It's the album that made me realize how good tool was and could be.
I discovered Undertow and Aenima as a 15/16/17 year old. Aenima changed my life. I know that Lateralus is considered their magnum opus, and I love it too, but Aenima is my favorite. Every single song on the album slaps. Hard. It is my number one greatest album.
@@Polyvalent Bristol sound baby, do you know Smith and Mighty? if not check out album "Big World Small World" , if you like Massive Attack you will like them (from the same scene and also from Bristol)
@@Polyvalent I very much enjoy mezzanine as well, particularly black milk and dissolved girl. Massive Attack puts me in mind of Portishead, as I discovered them both around the same time. Dummy was a fantastic album, and the self-titled album that followed was pretty damn good as well.
Thank you!! Adam is usually the underrated player or least noticed but his contribution and technique are astronomically off the chart. His ability to add without overplaying is amazing and stunning
A lot of those atmospheric noises and such are Justin on the bass. He uses a multitude of awesome effects pedals. Not only is an accomplished regular bass player but his effects setup and how he uses them takes him to another level. That being said, this is a prime example of all four members being at the absolute top of their game. Fortunately for us fans, the members of tool have been and remained at the top for a long long time now.
This song was so instrumental for me when it came to dealing with my personal struggles surrounding religion during my teenage years. The theme of an oppressive relationship, drowning, losing one's self... the confusion rolling around in the sound. And then for it to build and Maynard screaming, "THERE'S NO LOVE IN FEAR!" This single song took so many of my blurry teenage emotions and snapped them into focus. So glad you guys did this track (and got to see the Tool show!). Forever one of my all-time favorites.
So i seen this video back when you guys first posted it. And today i seen it and rewatched it. And i gotta say Ryan has been able to put things into words that i have wanted to myself when trying to shoe other people TOOL. Which no one ever does it. There has been more than ine occasion when Ryan has been able to put into words the things that made him enjoy TOOL. That i wish others would hear. ..ON ANOTHER NOTE... I have always appreciated the line George always says bout FREE THINKERS. Its what first drew me into this channel. And i wish i had some background on where he began to say that. And how it came about. In some ways it seem like you guys may just be ahead of your time and that a great thing to say. I was late to the game in terms of opening my eyes to things. And gaining perspective like you have enbraced.
Thank you for covering my favorite Tool song and getting it! In addition to the cool tones and tempo changes, the lyrics are chilling and Maynard’s vocals near the end (“And when I say I might fade like a sigh if I stay …”) are some of his best. Definitely give the Salival version a listen, too.
Damn I’m bummed you didn’t go into the lyrics at all. I love hearing your takes on songs. This song has some of my favorite Tool lyrics and clever use of pronunciation of phrases to make it ambiguous. For example, it’s always sounded like he’s saying both “You still love me” and “You steal off of me” as well as the obvious “push it” vs “push shit.” Either way though, great video guys, I’m glad y’all enjoyed this one!
I just came back from my first ever (and sadly, maybe the last) Tool concert in Budapest. They played Push It. I like their newer sound more, from tuning point of view, but my god, it sounded epic live. Also, same thing with Sober. Much heavier than on the album. I have almost exclusively listened to Tool for 15+ years now, nothing comes even close, but seeing them live pushed the whole experience to levels I have never felt before. They finished with Invincible, incredible performance there as well. Pneuma... no explanation needed here. But Descending... put on the cherry on top of the cake for me personally. Never felt anything so immersive before as listening to it live, with closed eyes. I am so grateful that I lived to find them and see them live.
This has been my favorite TOOL song since the first moment I heard it. Every member of the band is just totally in their element on this track. Glad u guys got the opportunity to see it live!
My all time favorite T00L song. You guys are very responsive to mastery of instrumentation (including voice), but you require the pieces fit together (orchestration) rather than mere showboating. I love how you respond to the emotionally evocative aspect (including the lyrics), the dynamic swells and mood-altering transitions. You guys get what I love most about T00L. I really enjoy your obviously natural reactions as well. Keep the T00L reactions coming! Finally, you appreciate the visual soundscapes they “paint” with their music. Bravo!
You guys make me so happy. Seeing people hear and love my favorite band is amazing. Your approach and openness to music is great for all music communities!
This song never fails to give me chills. I just love how the structure of the song ties in so beautifully and emotionally with the lyrics, which seem to be about being trapped in an abusive relationship. Deep, dark stuff!
The tone of this song has always and will always be a deep deep foreboding. Perhaps the most foreboding song sound ever made. Still one of my favorites 30 years later. The bridge of this song just sounds ethereal
I go back and forth when it comes to my favorite overall Tool song, but always return home to Pushit. It’s so perfectly atmospheric and brooding and transporting. Clicked on this vid quickly!
That intro was hilarious playing with us Tool fans like that..Oh my gosh finally tho🤘 This song is so powerful. Yes, Hooker and Swamp Song are both a must just off different albums and also Disposition Reflection Triad off Lateralus. Thanks for this one guys.
Escape from LA is the only movie I know for *certain* that has a Tool song. I feel like there is a brief moment in The Crow that features some tool, but I'll have to re-watch to find out.
Tool's development is very interesting. Their early catalogue is heavy and direct. Their later catalogue is progressive and artistic. Aenima as an album sits in this pocket in between which is very experimental.
The live salival version of this song is so beautiful and sung so fantastic. My metal friends have watery eyes when they listen 2 Tool. I have never seen that before. #ToolArmy, punch your keyboard, Tool live Philly 1992(JC Dobbs) and 2017 Tool live GovBallNYC, 2 classic shows, IMO.
Pushit, Jimmy and Third Eye kinda teased what tool was gonna be like for the rest of their career but it's got more heart than most of what was to come(which was awesome) but this record was the peak for me(90's kid bias maybe) but when this came out it was like a portal into the future.
Well, not really. Adam and Justin play in Drop D on all of there songs with exception for Prison Sex and Parabola which are in a B standard alternate tuning
@@SilverburstT He was talking about Danny tuning the kit in relation to what key the song is in. Yes the majority is in drop D but that doesn't mean you have to tune your kit to the same thing for every drop D song. He also tuned his kit on Ticks and Leeches too.
YES! I love that description that it creates an ambience/atmosphere. I agree completely. It feels as though their songs are taking you to a vibe rather than giving you a vibe.
I love my man’s reaction to the left, I first saw TooL live in 96 and I couldn’t explain to my father what i saw. Changed my perseverance how live music what should be. Never to be duplicated. Deepest shades indigo friend 🌀

I'm almost 40, and you guys bring me back to my high school days where I feel like I'm reacting to this for the first time again. Loved jammin with y'all.
One of my (many) favorite things about Tool is their song structure. Every section of each song just seamlessy flows into the next as naturally as breathing, with every note in the perfect spot.
I love when you guys do tool songs, I also love that you pace yourselves. A lot of channels burn through the catalog too quickly. I gotta also put in a vote for the salival version.
Maynard has said in interviews that the reason why he performs in the back is because he is more comfortable in the shadows, and therefore can focus on his vocals.
Also said he can hear better and can see the rest of the band, just maid since to the band. Back there he doesn't have the amps in his ear, it's a balanced production 🤘👍
Your reaction to this is EXACTLY what my brain is thinking when I listen to Pushit.. Eulogy gives me goosebumps everytime and has since day one. Cheers.
Glad you guys got to go to the show. Taking my 10yo to the show in Philly on Sunday. She’s super stoked to see Tool for the first time. And I’m excited for her :)
Another "Push It" you guys actually need to react to is Static-X - Pushit. This band has a lot of short, but high-octane songs, and their energy is so infectious. Also been wanting a Nonpoint reaction from you guys 🙏 try Empty Batteries from their 2018 release, but they've been making consistent music for 20+ years. Another band who's energy is unmatched. One!
They gotta start with What A Day as the introduction though! I saw Static X once live and they sounded just like their recordings, perfect! Wayne sounds like he does while singing when he talks in between songs too, the man literally sounds like he's screaming while speaking. P.S. Another Push it is from Garbage from their Version 2.0 album.
@@wvusmc I can never settle on a song for them to react to from Nonpoint.. Misery? Foaming At The Mouth? Lights, Camera, Action? I feel like they're one of the best bands no one talks about
Not only is tuning drums is a thing (analog) but Danny uses tons of electric drum pads that can change from song to song with the clock of a mouse from the control booth! So his kits are literally tuned to the song!
Spot on with the “moment” thing. Very deliberate. Especially with the subject matter of the song. Next time you listen to it, think about a toxic relationship…the song parallels this. Peaceful, soothing moments with “violent” moments throughout, climaxing with a very “violent” finish. GENIUS!!!
I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone this song was from an album IN 1996!!! What else, if anything, sounded like this in 96'? Thanks for the video. It's the first one I've ever seen of you guys, and I'm glad I watched. I felt compelled to comment!
If TOOL had a song that was a final boss in a video game.. "Third Eye" would be it.. you guys have graduated to be able to listen to that song. DOOOO IT!!
I’m sure someone said this but Maynard has said he stays in the back because in the later years which has been I think since parabola the light show made him anxious or dizzy or something to that affect. It’s been a long time since I read his explanation but it definitely was the lights and it definitely works and let’s the others shine .
"A hive of mechanical bees" was such a dope way to put that! I love that shit. Also absolutely one of the best/my favorite songs ever, and not just from Tool, but period.

@@TroublesomeOwl to be honest, when 10000 days came out, not much of the album gelled with me. But I gave it a couple listens and now some of the tracks are up with my favs. Like Jambi
Jambi all the fuckn way, but yeh Vicarious will rock their socks off too
The Salival version is genuinely my favorite Tool song. It’s worth a listen.
Came here to say this. 21 years ago, I sold my copy of Salival on eBay. UA-cam has saved me from that regret, lol.
@@te9591 That's a pretty on-point take.
Alright, a comment about the actual version of the song featured in the reaction...and an insightful one too. Really, so much can be said about this song, its rather unique.
Wasn't this the album with the alien abduction recording hidden at the end.
Pure truth sir pure truth!
this song hit me immediately when it came out...and then the salival version temporarily took the throne...I love them both studio slightly more
100%. The Salival version is one of Tool's best.
I love this song, I grew up listening to Tool. I’m a big fan and I was a drummer for years. “The Patient” is my favorite Tool song.
Seeing the kinds of songs you two have liked - I feel like Ticks & Leeches would be a banger for you two. Danny Carey makes his kit sound like a freight train, and Maynards voice is raw... FAV UA-cam CHANNEL BTW.
Best reaction channel on UA-cam imo
@@brezz6759 oh easily, IMO
Also check out @keyofgeebz He’s fucking excellent.
Yes bro!! I've been requesting ticks and leeches for at least 2 years now lol!
Oh hell yeah, Ticks and Leeches is a banger. Pllleeeeease react to that song.
Making this comment without even seeing your reaction. This is my favorite TOOL song ever. The Salival version is immaculate! I am sooo glad you are reacting to it. Can’t wait to watch. I’m super excited that this is back on their rotation live. Unbelievable song! You guys are the best! Much love!
Love this song, but my favorite is "Parabol + Parabola" I promise you won't be disappointed!
It is crazy they have not done that yet. Crazy!
Easily top ten.
Myself & a buddy of mine (we are both 50) have been saying since the release of Lateralus that Tool is the best band on the planet hands down
Great reaction guys. Push-it is my favourite Tool song I’m not sure why, but it’s an emotional roller coaster for me in a good way. I’ve listened to this song well over 500 times and it still gives me goosebumps.
The buzzing that pervades this song.
Flies hovering above what was pushed.
Push it.
Pu-shit.
My drink came out my nose when Salt & Pepa hit 😂😂😂
But yeah, this is a top tier Tool tune. As I'm sure tons of fans have already said, the live version off Salival is essential.
Same! I was drinking coffee 🤣
I kind of prefer the Ænima version for it’s studio tightness, but they are both amazing.
I saw Tool for the 4th time on 01/19/22 San Diego show I had 5th row floor seat center section. Tool is the best!!! I also got a band autographed concert poster with extra art work added by Adam Jones!!
There is still no line sung in any song i have heard that physically hits me like "I must persuade you another way." I watched this and wondered at their lack of reaction to that line, and was a little baffled. lol
So much more potent in the live version
It's not just that line, it's the whole thing:
"If when I say I might fade like a sigh if I stay
You minimize my movement anyway,
I must persuade you another way."
It's a very poignant line in a very poignant song about domestic abuse.
The way the instruments drop away with that line ... oof ... goosebumps
Also agreed those lines hit even harder in the live recording of the Salival version
@@joshs8685 intermission in St Louis
They really don't have a bad song lol. Its crazy how every is like every song is underrated and they ain't lying. They are legends.
Great version!!!
Should 100% check out the live Salival version!! A great follow up if you’ve JUST done the album version!!
100% Salival version is also my favourite song ever
Dang really? Ima check it out
you 2 are MY original REVIEW guys! YOU GUYS ARE WESOME!
Larerslus then opiate aenama 10k days then undertow thats the order
My guys where these Harry Mack reactions at! Thumb this up guys for a Harry Mack Marathon
@@stevilkenevil9960 spelling is hard
3rd Eye gives me a contact high every time I listen to it.
I've give you top 2 of the 90's because it flip flops between this and Massive Attack's Mezzanine for me
Aenima was a beautiful progression from undertow and the perfect lead in to lateralus.
LOVE this album - the whole thing is incredible. You MUST do Eulogy off this album. Breathtaking - you guys would love it.
Has anyone mentioned that there is a live video of Maynard straight bodying a fan that jumps on stage without missing a note. It's a legendary vid.
My all time favorite Tool song. I love the Salival version as well. I was overwhelmed when I heard them play it live last month.
If this is true I'm going to lose it when I see them next week!
my best friend is a drummer and it's been fun getting him into metal, especially with bands like TOOL
Yes I was actually happy when even said Justin's Name I was like finally.
One of my favorites of all time. Thank you!
I always thought he said, "you still love me, you still love me but you didn't leave shit on me"
I just came back from my first ever (and sadly, maybe the last) Tool concert in Budapest. I am so grateful that I lived to find them and see them live.
this is the most underrated Tool track, people have a hard on for the Salvial version but this one is miles better iMO
I totally agree with you.
definitely! it is way superior!
I totally agree.
No such thing
Absolutely correct.
Arguably my favorite tool song. Great reaction. Goin with gf soon. Can't wait
This has been my favorite TOOL song since the first moment I heard it. Every member of the band is just totally in their element on this track. Glad u guys got the opportunity to see it live!
Same here sis!
Thumbs up for the name lmao
My all time favorite T00L song. You guys are very responsive to mastery of instrumentation (including voice), but you require the pieces fit together (orchestration) rather than mere showboating. I love how you respond to the emotionally evocative aspect (including the lyrics), the dynamic swells and mood-altering transitions. You guys get what I love most about T00L. I really enjoy your obviously natural reactions as well. Keep the T00L reactions coming! Finally, you appreciate the visual soundscapes they “paint” with their music. Bravo!
That computer beat drum jam is "Chocolate chip trip" off Fear Inoculum
He did an Atari mashup at the concert. It was awesome. I don’t know why they didn’t like it.
My sons and myself will be seeing tool march 10…can’t wait!
Damn, guys from Tool are masters of dynamics. This song feels alive and breathing.
I go back and forth when it comes to my favorite overall Tool song, but always return home to Pushit. It’s so perfectly atmospheric and brooding and transporting. Clicked on this vid quickly!
The best Tool song is the one that is playing.
This song is on my top 5 for TOOL songs. Glad you guys had a blast at the concert!
That intro was hilarious playing with us Tool fans like that..Oh my gosh finally tho🤘 This song is so powerful. Yes, Hooker and Swamp Song are both a must just off different albums and also Disposition Reflection Triad off Lateralus. Thanks for this one guys.
100% Swamp Song
Escape from LA is the only movie I know for *certain* that has a Tool song. I feel like there is a brief moment in The Crow that features some tool, but I'll have to re-watch to find out.
Ryan: "How dope can you be?"
Me: Just wait for the ending....you'll see.
#ToolArmy, punch your keyboard, Tool live Philly 1992(JC Dobbs) and 2017 Tool live GovBallNYC, 2 classic shows, IMO.
my mom has watery eyes. burned.
What Justin does with his whammy pedal at 14:30 just makes me happy.
This is my favorite tool song. You guys are great.
Favorite of mine too
Pushit, Jimmy and Third Eye kinda teased what tool was gonna be like for the rest of their career but it's got more heart than most of what was to come(which was awesome) but this record was the peak for me(90's kid bias maybe) but when this came out it was like a portal into the future.
Completely agree. This song feels like something from Lateralus or after but it still has that raw lyricism
Yes, tuning drums is a thing, and there are interesting things that TOOL does in the tuning relationships between the instruments.
@@3allz G he mentioned TOOL so I thought he was talking about the whole band
interesting things such as what?
My guys where these Harry Mack reactions at! Thumb this up guys for a Harry Mack Marathon
This song has many. Many. Meanings. However, it’s your reactions that make me smiled
I’m a simple man. I see you guys reacting to tool, I’m watching the whole video and clicking like.
Pushit is definitely in my top 3 tool songs. You guys should check out H
Two votes for H. It's my favorite song off the album
I would also like to see a reaction to “H.”, as well as “Jimmy” and “Eulogy”.
Absolutely loved the Salt n' Pepa rock out. I got a huge laugh outta that, shout out to you guys for having great fun , whilst getting down and deep with the Tool track aswell. Another class reaction.
It caught me by surprise. Thought it was a brilliant gag.
Vicarious is also a great song, don't miss it.
Also crazy they have not done this. But I’m sure they will.
Fiiiiiirrrre. Will never get old. Seeing them for the 8th time in March with a first timer. So excite!!!!
The song Hush, from the 1st EP was on the soundtrack of Escape From L.A.
Tool has an entire category of symphony style arrangement songs like- Third Eye, Jimmy, Triad, Reflection, on and on
The way you gentlemen break these Tool songs down are amazing!! Appreciate all you guys do you make it so enjoyable to watch these videos!
Maynard has said in interviews that the reason why he performs in the back is because he is more comfortable in the shadows, and therefore can focus on his vocals.
Also said he can hear better and can see the rest of the band, just maid since to the band. Back there he doesn't have the amps in his ear, it's a balanced production 🤘👍
he didnt say it like that at all.
Your reaction to this is EXACTLY what my brain is thinking when I listen to Pushit.. Eulogy gives me goosebumps everytime and has since day one. Cheers.
Give the grudge a re listen, 100 times with the lyrical knowledge and understanding and tell me you still feel that way
Yeah, they have been missing the lyrics of the Grudge. Oh well.
I hated the grudge first time I heard it. Completely agree with what they said about it being so stop start
Breaking Skin is another good one from Nonpoint.
@@wvusmc I can never settle on a song for them to react to from Nonpoint.. Misery? Foaming At The Mouth? Lights, Camera, Action? I feel like they're one of the best bands no one talks about
@@Ervinabrahamian Add Pushing Me by Slaves on Dope
DOOOO IT!!
Agreed! And they should listen to both. The album and live version from salival
Masterpiece of a song. Although I will say it not for everyone. First time I heard it I didn’t really HEAR it. Now it one of my favorites.
I’m sure someone said this but Maynard has said he stays in the back because in the later years which has been I think since parabola the light show made him anxious or dizzy or something to that affect. It’s been a long time since I read his explanation but it definitely was the lights and it definitely works and let’s the others shine .
Do their Led Zeppelin cover “No Quarter”
yes yes yes
YES!!
Seeing Tool 2.22.22. Cannot wait to hear this song live!
Do the SALIVAL version of Pushit! A completely different experience!! One of the few times I prefer an alternative version to the album version.
"A hive of mechanical bees" was such a dope way to put that! I love that shit. Also absolutely one of the best/my favorite songs ever, and not just from Tool, but period.
