These guys react to this song like we wished our friends would when we play Tool for them. I love it.
THEbenagain lol YES
Spot on mate, our friends are just lame that’s all
@@rmr5044 I've definitely got some weird looks for playing "Bleed"
@@manuelusteri3380 Thing is these guys didn't like this music to begin with. They predominately listened to rap and folks tried to get them into rock and metal. I remember when they first started getting into metal they got bleed by meshuggah and got thrown off the deep end and didn't like it, but now they love shit like Blackwater Park lol. They've grown to really like this kind of music, even the heavier shit and appreciate the heavy metal that they don't like.
Man isn't that the truth. I drove my son five suburbs away, so about 50kms. We listened to one and a half tool songs :)
I watch this video when I need to cheer up
Your deum covers are killer
Same my friend
yeah me too
or any song where Danny Carey is playing the drums
Me too!!! Haha!
This is my favorite song reaction of all-time. I've watched it countless times. It never gets boring.
They just get it, and it feels so justified. I feel heard lol
💯
Same here. I've watched this so many times... any time I need a pick-me-up, this is the go-to. Just such a fun reaction to watch.
Same!!
This is a brilliant reaction video of a brilliant song
This reaction is just about as legendary as the song itself. I'm a returning viewer. Love me some Tool. Love me some Lost in Vegas.
Confession: I watch this every few weeks just to cheer myself up
Glad I'm not the only one. 😁😁😎
I’m on my 4th or 5th listen for exactly that reason. Their happiness is infectious.
Damn so I not the only weirdo. Watching these guys discover tool is amazing.
SAAAAAAME
Me too, me too...love these guys
A 38 minute song reaction? Lost In Vegas just went Prog on us.
With an odd video pause signature
So prog, they might add a colon to their channel name.
@@thanegoldberg453 Cant wait for their spinoff channels Lost in: Miami and Lost in: NY

Best song I've heard in 25 years, along with Invincible.. Both a "Masterpiece"
Dammit! It will only like this comment once.
This and Descending just hit different for me
Agreed
Here I am 9 months later, just saw them live and they closed with Invincible. I have been to a lot of big shows and this was hands down the best concert I have ever been to.
@@salemsanders2075 same here. Dragged my partner to it who never heard Tool, and it was the best concert we ever saw, period. They’re on an absolute new level this tour.
just heard this song today, and it might legitimately be in the top 5 rock songs of all time 😭😭
Watching these guys lose their shit over this track is almost as enjoyable as the track itself
16:55 "Are you hearing this shit?"
When I listen to the album and I don’t hear their responses it seems like it’s missing something. That’s how many times I’ve watched this.
so much fun to see others "get it".
I loved this channel since I saw these guys lose their shit over Black Sabbath. Watching them become Metal fans has been a fantastic journey.
They're reacting the way I wished I could have when I listened to this track for the first time while driving.
TOOL The only band on the planet with a Lead Drummer
So true!!
Gojira

Rush RIP Neil
Dude, Rush has Neil Peart
13:23 The simultaneous "Yeahhh......." gets me every time
You get a LMAO!
That break into the verse at 13:23 and their mutual acknowledgement of it, was so dope. Don't know em at all, but love these guys. People who genuinely enjoy listening to music for sure.
That was funny af
Every Tool song at the 3-4 minute mark...
“Man, that was a good song”
... oh, that’s just the intro.
Nicholas this made me laugh to hard
@@TheAskald Hmm I've gotta disagree with you a bit here, the aim seems to be to create a Vibe or feeling especially with songs like Invincible and descending that's why they take and idea and repeat it and honestly I think it works none of the track feel like a chore to listen too which can be an issue with longer songs.
@@tam2071 Yeah I agree. I didn't meant that the songs feel stretched out, they don't.
Seems to me, if they are using Tool to learn about progressive rock(prog) thee is 2 things - they are at the deep end of the pool to learn how to swim, and they have a lot to learn about the the width and depth of progressive rock. It is what it is (Their reaction).
Ha ha exactly!
It’s like these guys are here to remind us: listening to music is supposed to be really fun
Fr if music doesn't make you feel like this then you need to find the music you really love.
Recall! Remember!
@@SkyThoughtss Music doesn't make me feel like this, because I don't respond to music like this. Doesn't mean I don't love it. People are just different. I'm a musician too.
I thought just turning on the radio, did that.....?
Yup, and it's subjective and there is no wrong answer.
This is honestly my favourite reaction from you guys, was energetic and funny. I don’t know enough ppl who love TOOL to enjoy their music with, but you give that outlet. This is a beautiful song for sure, and that was a class reaction. Big love
I am not a Tool fan, just because it's not something I ever considered listening to. I saw their weird 90's videos and just turned the tv off, filing them in the "nah" folder. That being said, "Fear Inoculum" and "Pneuma" have made me want to go back and listen to them for the first time - and thanks to LiV for bringing them to my attention. I just always ignored them. Can't do that any more. These two songs have totally blown me away. The best way I can describe it is, it's music that you listen to for different reasons than you listen to other music. This is in its own category. It's another level of music. Just stunning.
When I first heard them, they sounded really strange, like nothing I had ever heard before. I wasn't a big fan of it but man it was intriguing music, made me feel uncomfortable. For some reason I kept coming back to that one song (schism got me in) and which each listen it grew and it kept growing on me...by the 15th time I heard it, I thought it was a masterpiece and so I listened to some other songs of theirs and the same thing happened all over again with each song slowly but surely creeping up on me to the point where they now are my favourite band and they made me listen to music in a different way. Just give them enough time and really listen and you'll love them.
Tool is an experience you don’t listen to it to hear just a song you listen to it to go on a journey
you a fan now?

I’ve been watching for 22 years on this internet thing. And this? This is the best video on the internet.
It's been about a year when I saw this and I can honestly say this reaction is aging like wine. It seriously just keeps getting better...just like Tool. The joy any true Tool fan gets by watching these two feel Tool like so many of us have for Decades is something special. I think you guys have gone a long way to opening a door to people who may have not listen to Tool a lot to really give it a chance. You guys get it to the core!!!!
These guys understand what TOOL is all about!!.👌🏼

I enjoy how you guys disagree and agree with the songs you review. You guys are great, there's honesty in what you guys do..
I died laughing at that part, you know Tool was going to crush it again!!!!
Danny gets well deserved hella-praise for the intricate and unique time signatures of rhythm, but you gotta tip your hat to the guitar and bass that are also insanely tight and locked into the same rhythms. The whole band is just crazy good, to anyone that knows how hard it is to do this stuff.
Terrible last couple of weeks. Seeing two people appreciate this song like I do made me feel better. Thank you so much.
I played this song today at work. I work in a retail store. And one of my colleagues, this super trap fan, started nodding his head to it and he turns around, his face a mix of awe, enjoyment and a little confusion, and says to me: "I don't know what this is but this.. this shit is dope!" I laughed and said: "This is Tool".

A monumental magnum opus of an album by an epic band
I'm 63yo and I have never heard anything like this in my life.
😂😂😂 that’s awesome
Welcome
Ride the spiral of Tool my friend, you wont regret it
Age has nothing to do with it. Good is good and appreciation is what it is. You're perhaps more open minded than most guys your age. THAT is awesome. Kudos brother.
Better late then never
When Ryan starts immediately cursing and George has perma “stank face,” you know the song is hot FIRE.
Hahahaha, yes sir!
:-D George's trademark "stank face" with or without chair spin/rotation, yeah, then you just know... ;-)
🤣🙏🏽
I would love to hear you guys listen to the "The Patient". It's one of Tool's more overlooked songs imo because it's on the album Lateralus and everyone talks about that song, Schism, and The Grudge. But The Patient is one of Tool's finest and it just gets better and better as the song goes on. And it's so deeply emotive and thought provoking.
Yeah for me it’s Parabola > The Patient > Ticks & Leeches > Schism > Lateralus > The Grudge
Favorite Tool song hands down
The Patient is 🔥🔥🔥
Great fkn track 👍🏻
My mom, a huge Tool fan, referring to the "Wake up now child..." part: "Each member of the band right here sounds like they wouldn't fit together separately, but when you listen to it all together, they all go together. It's incredible."
I'm paraphrasing, but that's the basic point she made.😊 Love you mom.❤
I'm always shocked that the sound they make comes out of four people. Like how is it possible?! lol
"Together separately"
Your mom is high af 😸
Pneuma is one of Tool's best songs ever it is an absolute Godly masterpiece.
I agree, really one of their best songs ever.
Amen.
This is the the greatest song by the greatest band and the most gifted musicians ever to grace the face of this planet!!!
Just incredible. Seriously
I’m with you on that. Absolutely incredible piece of music.
The best tool song is usually the one you're listening to RIGHT NOW
canesno1fan well said!!
@Douglas Bull Yeah I seriously think Pneuma is one of their all-time best. And you're right - MJK is a god with his vocals, I love all his stuff
This is the most true shit I've ever heard. Except for the last Tool song I heard.
@@micahmatyi131 A brilliant album. I drove my son 3 suburbs to his friends place the other day, we were still on Pneuma :) But my favourite all time songs Sober (I love Hank) and Hooker With a Penis for the total irony.
You are not wrong.
This is what I can only describe as musical psychedelics. Just triggers something in your brain where you're just like "holy shit I'm going on a trip"
That’s it exactly
I was stone sober when I first went to see Tool. Never had smoked or drank in my life. That concert put me in a crazy trance that has never really been matched.
I never get tired of this reaction, even after 4 years, and it always makes me smile. Probably my favorite out of all of them!

Yup!
Right?! I’ve been going crazy inside trying to explain how amazing this song is but it’s hard to get people to listen and be patient it’s gotta be NOW. These guys are acting like I feel when I hear this it’s so damn amazing to the point where I almost wondered if I’m being like kind controlled.. like how can some chords make me melt like that?! Just the guitar to me is amazing and it’s like 4 chords I don’t get how I can be so affected
The whole album is a masterpiece. What a time to be alive.
It's not... It's really not, worst album Tool has made. TheNeedledrop did a great review if you want perspective.
@@jonariaofthejonaries1705 Well that's just, like, your opinion man :)
This is probably their worst album every song sounds the same
The Interludes are awful imo, and they are too many.
@Douglas Fisher I'm not actually and most of the success of this album has come from new Tool fans rushing in that have never heard their more superior work. This album does not live up to it's older work and has only achieved things already done before in a worst way.
Got into tool in '96, when Aenima was released. Never heard anything like it and was hooked immediately. I feel like it was the Dark Side of the Moon of the 90's. In my 40's now and still one of my favorite bands of all-time. Nobody sounds like Tool.
I like to think Tool is my generations PF. I'm too in my 40s Spiral out my friend 🤘
You are very right about Tool not sounding like another other band out there. There is only and will only be one Tool and their unique special sound.
If people watched this video 1x a week, there would be no depression on earth.
As a black guy that enjoys this kind of music, it's pretty amazing to see two fellow black men enjoying this as much as I do plus. It's a "rare" sight!

After George went, you can see the moment on Ryan face where he simply accepted the reality of perfection - his face was like almost crying, just sitting in belief and bowing to it. Best reaction vid ever, Sat Nam 🙏

Danny is the greatest drummer ever. His solos are toned down compare to what he is really capable of.
Legend has it that Danny's penis is a third arm.
Danny carey showed his 58yo ass on this whole album!!! Every track is like a drum solo
SouthernBassHunter, his drum solo in Salt Lake this past October honestly was one of the greatest sonic performances that I have ever witnessed.
He literally birthed us, raised us, wiped us off the face of the planet like a nuclear bomb, and rebirthed us like a Phoenix.

I really hope they go through the rest of the album first. I feel 7empest is a track they won’t enjoy as much if taken out of context from the other songs. It’s a build up to a finale of sorts
@@ocat1979 I agree. Simply stating that the stank face they're gonna make when they hear it is gonna be off the charts. It's gonna be 2 empty chairs on the screen and them running outside naked wondering how they got to home Depot.
Can’t wait to see y’all react to “Invincible” and “7empest”.
This and those two are the best songs on there.
For REAL! "Invincible" is the TRUTH.
Invincible is incredibly good!
Invincible is aight, I loved Descending and 7empest tho, Adam Jones destroys tf out of these songs
Both are amazing songs!
I just saw them live. Incredible as always, still give me chills. Love your vids... this reaction is my fav!
The beauty of Tool/Danny "The Octopus" Carey is that they drag us all into new realms of tempo, beat, and time signature. For decades bands and drummers have subscribed to a known quantity that is easy for the listener to follow and feel comfortable and familiar with. Tool and Danny transcend that and take us to a place we've (no one) has ever been before. Which makes it spiritual.
Me: what time signature is this?
Tool: all of them
Tool: yes
All you need to know is that all the pieces fit, no matter how!!
"What time signature are they in?"

@@rafanj824 I KNOW THE PIECES FIT, I KNOW THE PIECES FIIIIIIT!
Tool: Well we made them up, so...
Me: THEM?!?!?!
TOOL - THE GRUDGE. You will absolutely lose your mind.
Keyvan Azh “loose” yep, maybe accidental, but well put...
It's better to listen to tool when the mind is loose
I love y'alls reactions! Because it's straight up honest. I would love to see y'all listen to old school tool. Opiate album song part of me.... or just the whole album.
Always brightens my day, and gives me goosebumps at the same time. It’s an amazing feeling when you see the same reactions you had listening to these for the first time. You guys are the best!!
13 years for an eternal album.. I’ll take that trade
Cameron Campbell couldn’t have said it better.
This has been the best trade deal in the history of trade deals
Any effing time, brother!!
