    I started habit tracking about 2 weeks ago. I did exactly what you said, starting with the basics. Brushing my teeth 2x a day, eating 3 meals a day, limiting my sweets intake to 150 calories a day, having fruits and veggies as snacks, washing my face, 30 minutes minimum of movement (anything from a walk, to getting my heart rate up during housework, to HIIT) and taking my vitamins. I've lost 18 lbs in nearly 2 weeks. I'm shooting for 80% consistency. So this last week, I had around 90% consistency. All my reasons were legit. I had a date night, so I drank a couple ciders, my sons birthday happened, so I had some cake. It was honestly hard for the perfectionist in me to not be satisfied. But I reminded myself that I was shooting for 80%, not 100% because life happens. And I still lost nearly 20 lbs, which is incredible. More importantly, I value my time and body more! Looking forward to the results in 3 months.

    I was on a roll for 2 months, the past 2 weeks I went crazy eating again, sugar, carbs. My mood have completely slumped. So i am glad i watched this. Back on track tomorrow.

    This video came exactly the time I needed it. I’m injured atm (luckily it’s a minor injury). Although I’m training but not in the same way I just say to myself to be patient and there will come a time when I will remember this as a small setback. 😊❤❤❤

    Thank you so much Lucy, really needed to hear this 😢 Went on holiday for a week and then when I got back immediately dropped a computer on my toe! Moon boot for 2 weeks and no walking, was all very hard to deal with but I need to remind myself i’m 30 lbs down, and I still managed to maintain during that period, and thats great.

    It does go up and down from outside factors, I hit all my fitness and nutrition goals this week, which feels great, but this upcoming week I won't be able to hit a lot of them, due to a ton of work functions. So I am just going to do my best this week and not kill myself for not hitting all my goals like this week, just try to be better then I would have been say a year ago.

    Im 46 and was doing 10 pullups with a 5kg weight around my waist... went on holiday 3 weeks, got home and cant do 1 pullup.
    I'm struggling to do 10 pullups with 2 bands. I was devastated and ready to give up

    thank you so much for taking the time to explain this, ive been constantly stuck in cycles where i had the 'black and white thinking' doing all or nothing and i got burnt out easily. thanks for helping me have this mindset and helping me know im not the only one who goes through these things.

    Thank you for this video, it‘s perfect timing bc I came back home three days ago and feel so lost.
    I noticed something subtle yet helpful: instead of saying „I‘m gonna do X in morning“, I now say „I‘m gonna do X when I wake up“. Because my sleep pattern is all over the place and I felt bad about not being the girl that wakes up early, having checked everything off their to do list by 8am or so, anymore. Now I‘ll slowly improve my sleep but won‘t miss out on the habits I usually do in the morning.

    I just got back from my family trip and was worried if I’ll be able to get back to my regular meal and exercise routine but thanks to this video i think I can manage to gradually get to where I left off😊 Thank you always for giving us words we exactly need❤

    Thanks Lucy, I needed this! I’m just coming off of surgery recovery and trying to ease back into fitness. Discouragement is a beast right now because before my surgery I was SO close to some long-term fitness goals, but now I feel like I lost all that progress. But this was a good perspective check.

    I have been trying to find a sustainable way to do things because unfortunately, the only time I had any success was when I did it with a lot of restriction.

    I’ve had chronic back pain for most of my adult life but it’s been pretty bad these last few years so it’s been hard to be consistent because most of the time, I just want to lie down. But I’m slowly starting again and trying to be more active. Thanks for the tips. Gonna try and implement these on the road to lose 30 kg
