    So stressed out, I bought a different scale thinking it was broken. I eat under 1000 calories a day, excercise 2 hours a day. Same weight for months. I weight myself every day.

      1k kcal might actually create an oposite effect, i don't know ur weight, gender etc but it is very likely for your body to operate in low maintance mode due to too dramatic difference between actually needed energy and the one ur giving

    This is interesting because I have hit a plateau with the weighing scale but no end of people have said they have noticed a weight loss! I said I don't know how because I've stayed the same for around a month now and I still have another stone to loose!

    • @rawmilkmike
      @rawmilkmike 11 місяців тому +1

      Don't just assume you have another stone to go. Occasionally check your muscle mass. My wife plateued at her ideal weight for six months. She was still trying to lose another fifty pounds based on her BMI. And the diet was doctor supervised.

    My weight loss stopped and plateaued when I reached a mental-physical - spiritual - equilibrium and I stopped monitoring my caloric intake. I got used to my new form. Sometimes you need time to reassess the new condition you are in now and create your next steps as they may be different than originally thought or believed.

    I've been at this for 28 weeks and have gone from a size 20 to a 6 on bottom and 2X to a small/medium on top. I just had everything stop the past 2 weeks. I still have more fat to lose, so I'm thinking I need a diet break. I was doing good and then when things stalled, I dropped calories too low and I'm so fatigued I can barely get off the couch but I keep pushing myself to exercise. I realized today that this is ridiculous! I need to fuel my body and keep my calories up and not at such a great deficit, so I'm taking a short break from deficit and then going to try and stay at 1700-1800 going forth. Thanks for all your videos, been watching them all day today 😂. I agree so much with everything you teach. It was refreshing to hear someone else say it.

    I’m happy to be in a calorie deficit but I hate counting calories…it’s just so hard if you can’t weigh every single thing you eat, like you go to a friends for dinner, or ingredients don’t have info….any advice?

    • @discoveringhealthandfinanc8328

      Look at the menu beforehand and pick it an item that fits in your goal and structure your day accordingly... or just enjoy some fun foods with your friends and family... next day, get right back on it. Keep water intake up and remain active. For me, if I know I'm going to eat higher calories for a day, I always structure my leg day around it. The extra carbs and calories does wonders for my gym session. Good luck!

      Hi Sarah. I‘ve been in a calorie deficit without counting calories for 1,5y and so far it is working really well for me. I’ve done research on basic nutrition, I pay attention to portion size and how often I eat which foods in a day. I do make approx guesses of my calorie intake but not having to weigh everything is taking a lot of pressure off of me and for me, it‘s working. I‘m sure I could lose fat faster if I implemented calorie counting into my nutrition but I don‘t want to do that because of my mental health and having struggled with disordered eating. I don‘t know if this will work for you as well but you might wanna try it.

      @@rg-mi5hh I've never heard of Plateaus lasting so long. Going on 6 months for me now and it's absolutely ridiculous. I've tried everything. Fasting, changing diets, more cardio and no change. Extremely frustrating. I feel trapped.

      I understand. I have been in one for 2 years. I have changed and done more and less and logging and weighing and reduced carbs and reduced more carbs and have tried everything. I feel like crap and need to lose more and just can't. It becomes so frustrating and I cry a lot. Too bad that doesn't help. I get very unmotivated when nothing at all works. Nutritionists and trainers and everything. Weight loss shots helped me for a month and I had to stop but I ate almost nothing taking it. Weak and nearly passing out. Nothing works for me now after losing for a while.

      Try not to use exercise as a way to burn calories but as a way to feel good and know its good for your overall health. If you're trying to lose fat, focus on your nutrition and and do a moderate deficit. Good luck!

    Very intelligent, but you contradict yourselves when you talk calories in calories out and then admit your metabolic rate can vary. Body type also makes a difference. And traditional diets will always result in net weight gain. Sometimes, you just need to eat a stake and lose the breakfast cereal.
