I agree! Sometimes we’ll microwave it a bit to get it started and then finish it in the oven. The Grandma’s Chicken and RIce bake breadcrumbs are quite nice when cooked this way.

Mac and Cheese! Yay! I leave it in until the top gets crispy around the edges. I've even put it back in the oven after eating those crispy, burnt areas around the sides just so I could have another round of the crispy, browned sides.
I'm surprised they didn't have the meatloaf dinner in that video. It's really good. I do add butter & salt to the mashed potatoes that comes with it. I buy it quite often. One of the few frozen dinners I really like. You won't make a mistake buying it.
Wrong about pot pie. I've tried them all and Stouffer is the best by far. Best results are splitting the difference between oven and microwave directions. Cook in microwave for half the required time and finish in oven to crisp up the crust. Grandma's chicken and rice bake was one of our go-to's for years but they changed the formulation last year, and now it's not really edible.
My grandma made the best pot pie by far and every inch of it was made by scratch, that’s why, I just can’t do any frozen pot pie, I just think they all are gross.
The Salisbury Steak's mac and cheese are best when you pull the dinner out of the micro halfway through cooking, pull up the plastic, and sprinkle it with garlic powder and cumin powder, then mix in a bit of shriracha sauce. Then cook it rest of the way, with the plastic OFF the mac and cheese--for about 15 seconds longer than the recipe calls for. That way, that part of the dish is much more flavorful, and much less slimy, than it would otherwise be.
Swedish meatballs and the meat lasagna are my go-to's for a quick and easy meal option out of all the choices I've tried that are decently priced. The meatloaf is pretty good too but the portion small and the potatoes mediocre.
Tried the chicken marsala two days ago after not eating for 3 days due to having no appetite because of COVID, was looking forward to this in a major way. First, there is no possible way one could use what cooks up to make ANYTHING that resembles the picture on the box, which I find incredibly misleading. Also, when I went to stir it 1/2 way through, they could have literally put this in a container half this size as it didn't even come up to the halfway mark of the container. Portion size was surprisingly small. You'd need a magnifying glass to find the mushroom specs in it. 3 giant chunks of chicken which need to be quartered unless you're the type who simply likes to each your way through oversized chicken chunks with no noodles with each bite.
I jusr had the macaroni and beef one. It was pretty good honestly. I did add pepper and valenitina hot sauce tho. Also put it in the oven not the microwave, makes a world of difference
We never ate Chicken O’LA King over a bed of rice, it was one of those things we ate similar to chipped beef and gravy over bread. There are also tricks and hacks that can make them taste better. Stouffer’s Italiano Lasagna is much better than their regular lasagna. I get a few frozen meals on hand when, I just don’t have the time or energy to make homemade. The stuffed peppers are good, top with mozzarella or provolone cheese half way through baking, if you add your cheeses half way through the baking the cheese will get nice brown and bubbly and not burnt. I also do this with the lasagna and, I sprinkle some raw onion on top before, I eat. Frozen mashed potatoes add a pat of butter and pepper. To the make and cheese, you can add extra cheese over top, again halfway through the baking and this is what, I sometimes do to my homemade Mac & cheese top with panko after you top with cheese. However, you need to cook the panko bread crumbs on top of the stove in a little butter, mainly because, panko is raw and just let it turn brown, it doesn’t take that long. The panko will give it a little bit of added texture.
The Lasagna is really good. My Mom always baked for Sunday Dinner when we all came over. She was getting older and wanted to cook but was over -60 so for about 2-yrs we had Dinner at Mom and Dads when we could. My DH and brother would ask in unison what are we having Lasagna and we would all laugh…. One of us would make a Garlic Bread and Salad trying to do something new or something older so it was different But if was always a good family dinner….Several of us brought the wine….😀
I wasn't surprised at all that the lasagna made them #1 spot. I haven't made homemade lasagna but why do that when you can just buy this one? I'm sure it's not worth it to make one, when you can buy a frozen pre made one for around 10$.
“Chewy” chicken in the Escalloped Chicken and Noodles didn’t used to be an issue. In the last few years there’s been a problem with a few chicken pieces always being left uncovered by the sauce during manufacture. Because of this, they get chewy during heating. My solution: after a minute or so of heating, I spoon some of the softened sauce over the naked chicken pieces then continue heating. This keeps them from getting chewy.
Love their chipped beef served over toast with flavorful thick sauce and a side of crispy hash browns! BUT getting it out of the hot plastic burns fingers, residue is quite wasteful, and always get sloppy fingers when opening! Packaging is the only deterrent from this otherwise tasty product for under $3!!
The bag it comes in, it was meant to boil in water, not actually meant to cook in the microwave. If you boil the bag in water, it won’t burn. Let the water start boiling before you drop in the bag, it takes 15 to 20 mins, the bag needs to slightly cool for a few minutes before you cut it open.
