- I headed the frozen food section of Walmart to see if I could find anything healthy. I reviewed all different types of frozen foods, pizza, breakfast, vegetarian, seafood, and more...and I was very happy to see some really high quality frozen food options! I tried to avoid frozen foods that had to many fillers and preservatives and the ones that used bad quality oil. I was so happy to find great products using really high quality ingredients, even for pizza and burritos. All you have to do is read the ingredient list for the frozen food, and you can easily spot the ingredients you want to stay away from. Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

Hey guys! Great video! I worked at Amy's kitchen, Andy and Rachael Berliner are the parent's of Amy. They live the life and lifestyle of their food. Great people. They flew me to London with them to assist in launching their product in Europe years ago! What fun I had!

I grew up eating Bumble Bee White albacore several times a week.
Sometimes I get chunk light or even yellowfin at TJ.
I’ve recently been buying chunk light at TJ, after reading that darker tuna has less mercury.
Also, I’m concerned about the cleanliness of the water in which the fish live.

Just watched in 2023, and we love Saffron Road! My teen son, who is very picky, loves the Butter Chicken! And Amy's... always rocks it! Love her soups too

Bobby, yes, the door should be closed lol but honestly, I am forever grateful for the fact you give mamas like me peace of mind knowing there are many frozen options for the busy bees !! I know a lot of elderly folks who eat those frozen dinners. Definitely sharing what the best options are with them. Everytime I go to the grocery store, I read the ingredient . I always say to myself if it is Bobby approved or not. Totally addicted to label reading.. I have been doing Keto for 1 1/2 years. It is all in making good choices. I lost 60 pounds and I wear a size 8. Good choices and label reading have improved my health.
I really enjoy that he repeats things from other videos, that way i actually learn something and it sticks with me

I try to eat not a ton of processed food, but I definitely buy Amy's and Applegate for the convenience when we need it. Not only is it higher quality ingredients, it really is good too.

Amy's split pea soup is delicious!!! I put some cheddar cheese in it and it's so good!
I took health class for two years in jr high and 3 years in high school...this sort of information should literally be taught in schools about how to read the back of the box
Anderson's split peas soup = good ingredients : Green split peas, water, carrots, 1% or less of salt, onion powder, yeast, celery, spices
Please do one on babies and toddler foods! Such as formula, baby food, snacks for the kiddos etc
I actually like the frozen riced cauliflower. I find it doesn't have that sharp cauliflower taste like fresh - the frozen is more mellow and bland, so it makes a better bland "rice" base that I can season or put a flavorful sauce over. I just microwave it, and it comes out great, not too mushy or wet.
The intro reminded me of my favorite pbs shows as kids teaching me the best things! Thank you!

Do you ever look at the sodium content of some of these prepared foods? They are frequently excessive.
I was just going to comment that frozen food is loaded with sodium which leads to heart disease and other issues. Sodium is in almost everything and dangerous.

Walmart has just updated their frozen section. You will find Saffron Road in practically all Walmarts.
This footage was taken at a Walmart about 5 minutes away from downtown Chicago. Not in any of the surrounding suburbs or anything. Smaller Walmart neighborhood markets such as this one are popular in the city because there isn’t enough space in the city for the big Walmart supermarkets.

I worked in the freezer for the distribution center for a major grocery store chain and just about anything you get comes in frozen, from the meat that they cut up in the butcher shop, to many breads, and even the twinkies and snack cakes. Even many soups, not in cans, come in frozen
i have learned so much already and have only watched a few videos, so thank you. i am reading all ingredients, eating healthier, and more focused on what i choose. anti inflammatory in mind for back pain. thx.

Then increase water intake, alot of people take in alot of sugar, sodium and fat without realizing it. Regardless if it’s non processed. I don’t eat frozen food often but keep some from time to time for certain days. Regardless in the end, moderation is the key.

I tried the Quest pizza and did not like it at all. Very interesting that Walmart's Great Value brand is outpacing Target's Good & Gather brand in the clean ingredients game.

I would be careful about buying ANY frozen fish. Read the label carefully. A few years ago China started under bidding all the domestic fish processing plants... not only in the U.S. but the EU and other areas of the world. Because China basically has a slave labor wage work force that do such things as fish processing as well as for many manufacturing jobs the Chinese government can undercut any civilized nation that pays their workers a living wage and gives employees decent working conditions. China is putting barges out in the ocean. The fish are dropped off there and the laborers slice up the fish and pack it. Many of those workers do not see land for years. Many die out there. No healthcare, no life flights to carry a sick or injured worker to a nice hospital. Human life is cheep there.
China has been caught doing some very shady things with building materials and pet food ingredients. I would not buy any food product processed there or anywhere on the other side of the world where there are no regulations whatsoever. Most food in U.S. grocery stores are not from China but some ingredients in food items are and some foods, such as fish, are processed there.
Labeling in the U.S. has become very shady. Some ingredients do not even have to be listed on a label if the ingredient is in a low amount. This is why when dogs in the U.S. were dying due to chewing on dried “chicken” processed in China, for some strange reason no one could figure out why. Thousands of pets also died several years ago when the Chinese decided that ground up melamine (a form of plastic that dishes are made of) would work well as a filler for dog food! Was melamine listed in the ingredient list? No, of course not.
The Chinese government has a whole different way of approaching capitalism. Our way may not be the best but the present Chinese government has NEVER had the ethics that are now, sadly, quickly fading in the west.
It is getting so that you have to be a detective when it comes to purchasing just about anything.

Unless things have changed since I was involved in farming, the Round up is sprayed on the grain crops after the grains is harvested. The reason is to kill any weeds before planting a crop after the small grain such as soybeans or corn. It kills the growing weeds, but should not effect the crop that was planted in the stubble.

When the worker is stocking the freezer they're most likely leaving the door open for more than a couple minutes. And also leaving it open when they face the door.
As someone who works in a grocery store seven days a week, I'm confused why anyone thinks it's a big deal. It's a couple minutes, and trust me, when they reset the doors they're open for WAY longer.
So funny, when the ambulance drove by with the siren, just as you were talking about the Morning Star product (not meat) with too many ingredients.
