@@lltheguy8387 I'm a blender user that is waiting for everything nodes and watching this because the things shown here are exactly the things that can only be done in C4D, at least easily.
Hi Jonas, I Just start with C4D 15 days ago, but I'm in Love with this program, I use Photoshop and Illustrator for 17 years and Aftere Effects a cople months I think I found my real escence wich is 3D and motion graphics, Thanks for this great and well expleined webinar I wich to learn more from you, Thanks a lot
Please could you provide the cloner settings used at 27:38 to get the spheres set up the way you have? When my colider sphere moves through the clones it pushes them out of the way as a rigid line of spheres and not organically around the sphere like in your example. Thanks!
In cinema4d 2023 the cloners dynamics dont work the same and the settings are set much different- itd be great to get an updated tutorial on this ASAP especially with the new features
If you are having trouble with the second tutorial Cloner set-up, you'll some very small orange points that can be manipulated to stretch out the spheres as he did above. You can find them while using the scale tool, and there are some more small manipulation points in the move tool. Moving them around will help you understand how they affect the spheres. I'm not sure how he set-up the balls so the larger ones gravitate to the center, sorry. Still learning :)
Still have no clue how the balls where on a horizontal plane, much less anything beyond that, since those changed settings weren't called out on this video for the 2nd project. I don't think it's with those handles, I think it has to do with numbers or enabled settings that differ between Prject 1 and 2; but either way it should've been at least shown visually.
Figured it out- wrote instructions in my main comments reply section. The setup changed enough betweens proj1 and proj2 that it makes it very different just by a few changed settings that weren't called out.
Hello, thank you for a great video. In 15.58 you link the connect to the cloner by changing the 'Object' option on the 'Object' properties of the cloner. In the latest version of Cinema 4D there doesn't seem to be an 'Object' option within the 'Object' properties tab. Could you please explain how this can be done now?
This a great tutorial for me! thx u. upd: only after rendering, the glass balls remain in place, and all other elements are attracted to the. I don't know how to solve this problem.
Jonas Pilz ! very pleased that you explained so well and fully about the new features and features in C4D R 19. Thank you and I would like to see All your webinars are all about which you briefly mentioned in today's webinar. Thank you !
Cool stuff, thanks. Only thing is, on the second example you just skim over the "dynamics tag" added to the cloned spheres. I'm fairly new to this and a bit lost TBH. Plus, in the first example, instead of transitioning between animated numbers mine just sort of flick between numbers without really working properly. :-(
I LOVE YOU!! :D Big UP and much of respect for what you are doing. The best tutorial i'v seen so far and tough me a lot more than i expected to get out of this. :) Subscribed
in the first simulation: after changing digits some elements remain. Means not falling down, flying. Changed cloner seed, but its not works. Any idea how to fix?
for the countdown, I only seem to get 10 and 9 right...seems like using other values than shown here turns it into a trial and fiddle marathon :( or do I miss something? because I think I do...it takes different amounts of frames for these numbers to form, doesn´t it? Geez...I´ve not been into C4d for the last few years, backt to square one... and why is Maxon keeping their employees in metal boxes? ;)
for anyone whose dynamic transition of objects between numbers are sudden , go to project settings and make sure that collision margin is 1 and scale is 100
At the project starting around the 1:10:00 mark, it's better to animated the size of the matrix instead of the count of the matrix for a more fluid animation
Very nice Webinar. I am just beginning with Cinema 4D and this is something exciting to do. However, I get stuck on the Force Rotation/Position animation. I am following the tutorial step by step. The 5 "falls" just about right, however in being "sucked up" again it glitches, as the 4 forms before the shapes are being sucked up, resulting in a pretty jumpy transition. Any tips?
Same issue, i used r25 and thought that s due to the software version updates, but saw ur same issue from 4 years ago then i think that s may not because the version
Does anybody know how to change the sample distance in the falloff menu, in the star (4th) tutorial? Cinema 4D changed the falloff menu in the plain I can't find how to do that.
So @ 24:26 he changes the speed to 123 and it stops the clone sphere from popping up. I did this exact step, 4 times in R25 and it seems to still be keeping some of the clones up, about half are spawning in like that and automatically filling the number four instead of picking up the pieces from the ground. Help?
Hello, for the changing numbers exercise, my objects shoot directly to the next number. (not a smooth transition) Even when my follow postion and rotation values are low, there's a noticeable jump as the numbers change. Why could this be? Thanks!
Play around with the keyframes (allow some more time in between). Also make sure 'follow position + follow rotation' is at 0 when the numbers are changing.
Thank you for the tutorial. Is there a way to have the project file, maybe in cineversity? I don´t get to make the stones shape and movement like in your animation. Thank you!
is there a way to keyframe the animation of Voronoi Fracture in reverse? I want to animate the pieces come together instead of falling apart. but I don't want to use AE to reverse the video. thanks.
Very nice, Thanks for sharing this. Is it possible to have project files, specially "Dynamic Spheres", wanna see how you made spheres smaller at ends and bigger spheres in center. Thanks.
Hey everyone. I wanna ask about the material used in the countdown animation at the start. It seems like the materials are randomized ( The gold material is assigned to a sphere as well as the platonic, and the glass material is assigned to the platonic and the cube vice versa) within the cloner when he shows the final animation in the start of the tutorial. How can I assign different materials to the objects in the clone in a random manner? I would be so grateful if someone has a solution to the problem addressed. Thank you.
i tried it by creating new texture material in material manager and just drag different materials onto different duplicated object, like a sphere, just control/command drag a sphere that is already there in the cloner and then drag and drop new texture material onto it.
Dude I never saw a tutorial like this! It's a father of these tutorials. Thank you billion times for existing!
Been using C4D for years, and this is one of the best instructional tutorials I've seen. So clear and informative. Thank you!
I'm relearning C4D after taking a long break from it, and this came out just in time. Thank you.
You should have never taken a break you dick
you and me both
@@MoveoImago no, what he should have done was used that break to learn Blender. smh

Jonas Pilz is one of the best teachers for C4D, period.

This is such a fantastic presentation in every way, great job Jonas and great job Maxon for having someone like Jonas making these great tuts.
well this is amazing, you've explained so many things in just 90 minutes!

Picking this presenter made a lot of sense on this one. I can so relate to the pacing and the stage of the learning curve he is in.

This is definitely the effect they used for Janes Earl Jones.

Очень круто, спасибо за вебинар!
If you wanna feel that "quickness and easeness" you can set the speed up to x1.5 or x2 .
Thanks so much for this tutorial!

Thanks for the tutorial!
Awesome seminar, can you please make a video for tree randomization in C4D.
Soo Helpful, please upload more webinars

Such a great tutorial! Thanks a lot!
Thumbs up! Hab viel gelernt. 1000 Dank
Where can I find the Materials? Great tut btw!!! enjoying my day off with this one and a cup of coffee :)
good tutorial ,thank you very much
Is there a video showing the ending of the fracture platonic? You said it involved a lot of xpresso.
Yes please we would love an explanation for the Xpresso part :) In waiting steel trying
AMAZING TUTORIAL!

This is great, exactly what I needed!
This video is just amazing
Very Interesting, Thank you!
This is very well explained. Thank you
Superb.... thank you 👍🏻
excellent tutorial!
I saw other people say this , but the countdown - from 5 to 4 does not work right, it glitches into the 4 , it does not smoothly reconstruct it.
me too i have given up he wont respond r18
Brilliant stuff!
i dont know hot to start the second project
You're the best, Jonas
Thanks a lot, very useful tips!
Can you make tutorial basic concept all effector
Amazing tutorial bro
27:58 I used vibrate expression to collider sphere for movement
U crazy xd
Thank You! Totally amazing!

This is so helpful, thank you so much
I love this

at 15:35 the connect cloner is no longer there? what do i do instead?

Same for me i give up tried and tried key frames make no difference it jumps rather than trainsition r18
Very nice
Why the attractor is not working well in this cinema 4d version ?
Grand merci !!! très intéressant et vraiment utile !
(Big thanks !!! very interesting and really useful!) :o)

Is it possible to have project files, specially "Dynamic Spheres", wanna see how you made spheres smaller at ends and bigger spheres in center. Thanks.
Use a plain effector with uniform scale and a spherical falloff. then toggle the parameters in the plain and random effector until you get the result.
Thank you very much
Tried 3x in cr18 it will not work the clone JUMP to next number rather than transitioning there :( ANy ideaS?

Where did you plug the HDRI textue?
I don`t see a sky object
This is awesome thanks a lot.
