  • The AutoPilots continue the A320 Type Rating course for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with today's lesson on the ever popular: Engine Failure After Take Off. As for all our lessons, this video will be divided into two parts: The theory, where we will look at the flows and memory items, as well as other considerations when dealing with a EFATO. We will then have a practical demonstration which will show the management of the failure, including the memory items as discussed in the theory, and an approach & landing with one engine inoperative.

    I remember when engine is secured and wait until reaching 1500ft to push V/S but I see u push at 1300 ft

      Thanks for your comment! So typically we can push V/S after 1000AAL and once engine is secured. At 1500ft AAL that's when we can begin our turn to the hold on the STD EOSID.
      Different companies will have different operating procedures. So some might level off at 1500ft. Hope this helps :)

      Normally OEB’s are before ecam actions, and when you reach the status, you must check the acc flow pattern.
