    Doing standart terrain pipeline -- let's go through every step; Doing actual magic on the sides that converts this to believable rocky terrain -- I've shown this in another tutorial 👍

    Nice technique! I'm curious, where can I learn more about that triplanar displace node? I've looked through some of your other videos and haven't found how exactly that works

    Hi. Thank you for the tutorial. I have a little problem. I am using Houdini 20.5. During 0:38 Your terrain has a height. But my terrain is flat. I thought I should proceed further. At combining node |Distort by layer| My terrain is still flat. Would you please suggest any solution?

      Hey, probably due to the heightfield remap that you need to place after, as seen in the video. Play with output max by increasing it. Cheers

    Can you explain a little bit mor at the beginning? I am already stuck at the mask part, and cannot get the mask modify the height.

      I would guess the remap node is not working? set every value min and max to 0 and then an high value on the output max. See if that helps. That should "extrude" the mask input.

    it could be good if u show the last part about texturing also :) great tutorial. just wondering how did you textured it like that. did u mix ramp with AO map?

      Yeah, I loaded the ao with a bind in point vop, then mapped it to an rgb ramp, and grabbed the colors as shown in the video. Hope this helps. Cheers.

    What are your settings for the "heightfield_layer2"? It would be very helpful if you could please select that node to show how you got the expected output, thank you.

      Hey, layer mode set to maximum to blend the blurred mask in. You can also grab the file from patreon. Cheers

      Maybe something related to the masks/bindings? That could be an issue. Have a look at the original file and compare to yours.

      In the point vop using displace along normals from the Cd attr, I am also blurring the normals to avoid issues with the displacement.

    How do you make the point vop with the color picker attributes @5:01

      In this case, I am remapping an attribute with a color ramp inside the point vop. It automatically gets promoted so you can adjust it from the outside. You can also get the file on my patreon if you want to check everything. Cheers

      Also i noticed you have picked 200 color options, that look like those Sat maps in Gaea. Did you pick those color manually? Coz that's a lot of task to do. Please help if can. Thanks ​@@cgside
