That cry definitely got me good. Like bro you're absolutely dominating the vampire apocalypse and being called a loser is what gets to you? She crushin hard.
Bubblegum's VA really delivered some of her best work in Fionna and Cake. Both Blade Bubblegum and the Candy Queen had such funny and perfectly delivered moments.
I really loved this moment. I'm not one of those people who hate PB-- but she always did have an ego/god complex to her. To see someone usually so on top of things break down is really something else. It's like that scene in Varmints, but different.
@@crona3316 It's interesting to compare those moments, because they both involve Marceline. In the normal timeline, Marceline is one of the few people PB feels comfortable showing "weakness" to like that. Here-- this Marceline knows exactly what buttons to push. Granted, normal Marceline can do that too...
I love this moment in particular because she has way bigger things to worry about, like the fate of the world and the fact she's been crippled without Martin, but instead she loses her cool because of being called a loser 😂.
I feel like this world took the worst parts of Marceline and Bubblegum and really leaned into it. Marceline as we know her used “being the monster” to distance herself from others. Now she is the monster, not to protect the people she loves, but to get her way and for a sick sense of entertainment. Bubblegum doesn’t seem to be doing this for anyone. Not for the world, not for her people, but solely for her pride. She reacted so much strongly to being called a loser than to losing her tank, and she was far more upset about lowering her tank than she was about losing her people. She doesn’t care about ending The Vampire Kings reign, she just has a score to settle with Marceline in order to protect her ego. This world is one where neither had anything to love or care about and now just continue to bring out the worst in the other.
honestly i dont even think pb made her citizens in the star universe, since peppermint butler is just a tank not an actual candyperson, and youd expect her to atleast have some candy people helping her but she Doesnt have any, and also marceline is actually 200 years older than pb so she probably started the whole vampire invasion before pb even started making her kingdom, so i dont think she even can do it for anyone
Bro I can't see any romantic interest coming for PB, just rage and maybe sadness? I theorize the vampires has killed PB's Brother, Family or Candy People. Maybe in a welcome ritual for The Star
I get the fatigue from seeing another soulless corpo tell another story from a show that's supposed to be over. I really do. I get especially tired from watching DCEU because those are some of my favorite characters. The different tones, the plot, and some of the acting really threw me. Super bummed we couldn't get the original prismo actor. I still think it was very well crafted, even if some elements weren't for me
Not to be that guy but like, bubblegum doesn't deserve marcy in the first place and in this universe i just don't see any form or shipping or flirting. I never understood why people ship people that hate each other.... Like try and be attracted to a person you hate. It isn't gonna be easy.
Well you are that guy sadly First off they're already together maybe not in this universe but that's why ppl already ship them 2nd off yes Marceline was flirting with her , teasing and blowing kisses to her and ofc maybe it's one sided but it's still flirting nonetheless Any idiot with half a brain could see If you don't like it that's another discussion but if you can't see it ur just delusional
I mean, when Marceline straight up sucked Jake dry and tried killing him multiple times, kinda bullying Finn into doing horrible shit to be part of her cool kid squad of ghosts or something, is just all around morally dubious, and only started being nicer later in the series, I kinda fail to see that "PB doesn't deserve Marceline" argument. Not to mention, the only reason PB started being better near the end of the series was by her friends, including Marceline's, intervention
1. people can be attracted to people they hate, it's not even rare. but I guess if it seems so weird to you it just means you've had a healthy love life, lucky you. 2. they are being shipped because they're lovers in the main timeline. seems quite obvious. their whole interaction throughout this episode is supposed to be looked at through this lense, you are supposed to make comparisons ant theorize that despite being enemies they would still be attracted to each other. it also seems obvious, as a direction to explore this story. there's that moment one of Star's vampire minion asks her why she hasn't killed Bubblegum yet and she gets mad at him and kills him - you are supposed to take it as a possible hint that she doesn't really want her dead, that she just enjoys showing dominance over her and that there is some level of attraction beneath the hatred and rivalry.
@@rohan1864 that just seems like a toxic fanficticious fetish. There are millions of other reasons as to how they could not want to kill each other and still have bad blood. To me it feels like they're milking the only controversial relationship in the show for the sake of fan service. It may be true they're still gooning for eachother, doesn't mean it's necessary for their characters. Now it suddenly feels like "Marceline and bubble gum" as opposed to their own personal growths. Like the characters as themselves lost importance without the other In this community.
big fan of bubblegum's little muscleman-esque pained screech

The scene in varmints is a good emotional moment for her cause she’s finally having the breakdown she’s been holding off for a while.

Today in flirting
Omg I felt and can relate this lol 😂😂😂
Right, that's so gay
Marceline may be flirting, but Bubblegum is determined to send her vampire butt to the first dead world.
You can tell the voice actresses for PB and Marce were having a HELL of a time!

This is a bubblegum who has never had to deal with criticism
I think.... it would have been good to bring her German language for this scene hehe😅

they called them losers and they just exploded 💔
Or PB was working on the thing that let the Marcelline we know drink red as an olive branch, and she tore it up and laughed in her face.
