Technically if you're the only licensed driver in a vehicle with a student driver then any accidents they get into ARE you fault in real life when it comes to things covered under driver's insurance. A quick search says that it's a lot more nuanced for when violating criminal laws like Spongebob did, the student driver would definitely be charged for it, but the driving instructor (i.e. Ms. Puff) might also face charges to.

Technically if you're the only licensed driver in a vehicle with a student driver then any accidents they get into ARE you fault in real life when it comes to things covered under driver's insurance. A quick search says that it's a lot more nuanced for when violating criminal laws like Spongebob did, the student driver would definitely be charged for it, but the driving instructor (i.e. Ms. Puff) might also face charges to.
