Seal is so breathtakingly handsome and God, he's got such an amazing voice!
One of the very greatest soul voices of the 1990s, right up there with Lauryn Hill or Tori Amos. I LOVED this first album! (haven't really bothered to follow his later career, I guess I didn't have the time and also I think he lost some of the funk vibe of the debut - but that one album is such a cool affair).
old skool legend a music god and legend
2024: Had his CD. Would kick off a specific 4-hour road trip with this when driving to family reunions in the early 90s from Michigan to Ohio.
Incredible driving music. SE WI here my man.
This is a KILLER song
The BASS in this song with the old school speakers....OH MAN TAKE ME BACK.
The best Seal song ever !!
I AGREE!
Ptolomeu Jones I think it is too.
Here hear!!
apart from CRAZY of course, let's not forget. Way way underrated.
I LOVE Wild
This is probably Seal's best song. Don't sleep on it! COME DOWN WITH IT.
I loved it but I don't think that's his best song. Different people, different tastes, I guess. 😆
Love*
@@shizukagozen777 - Well, it's my favourite. Best is subjective. :-)

I remember I had a CD copy of this album when I was 7 and I used to listen to it when I was alone and scared in the dark, I still to this day love this album.
This song is my earliest musical memory.
Badass dance song.
Still is even in 2019.
"The music takes you
Round and round
Round and round
Hold on to the love."
The most UNDERRATED album of all time. It was, and still is, a music tour de force. Fantastic album.
Underrated? Lol, yeah right
Too bad seal didn't keep up with this style of music instead of switching to straight rnb
It did rock hard....holy cow this is a magical sound.
Forgot all about this song, it really took me back
Only the best song he made besides a kiss from a rose
BEAUTIFUL!!!! 1992!!! MTV!!!!
Never knew they made a video for this. Love it! And love the leather vest!!!
This album is an experience! Love it just as much as I did in 91!
I think we were all blessed when this man decided to sing! :)
Hadn’t seen this either.
One of my favorite songs
Seal's always been great.
Overlooked Seal 'hit'
This self titled debut album continues to blow my mind three decades later
Seal at his best!! 10/10
I will be 31 this December. This song is my earliest musical memory. Before I discovered Barber of Seville on Looney Toons. This sparked my love of music.
I remember being at Hammersmith Odeon in 91 and this man rocked the house brilliantly. Those were the days getting high on weed & Seal memories are a wonderful thing
love his hair and the rest......great song
this is great.. all of these songs on this album are so good!
this song is a timeless classic. seals artistry is truly astounding. wolfen.
Very underrated album.
UNDERRATED??? From Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_(musician)#Seal_(1991)) : "...Seal first came to public attention as vocalist on the Adamski single "Killer" in 1990. The single eventually reached number one in the UK.[16] Seal subsequently signed to ZTT Records and released his self-titled début album (produced by Trevor Horn) in 1991. Two versions of the album are known to be in circulation: the original "premix" version and a second, more common version with an updated mix. This is attributed to the demand for a produced single rushing the final album edit and, as Seal puts it, his and producer Horn's "inability to let go".[17]
Seal was positively received by critics. The singles "Crazy", "Future Love Paradise" and his own rendition of "Killer" performed well on the charts. In particular, "Crazy" became an international hit in 1991, reaching number two in the UK Singles Chart and number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.[16][18] Seal stole the show at the 1992 Brit Awards held at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, with the first hat-trick of wins in the history of the event.[19] He won in three categories: Best British Male, Best British Video ("Killer") and Best British Album (Seal).[19]"
It was a smash debut at the time, and made him a star at once, I'd say it had almost the same impact as Jimi Hendrix' debut album had twenty-five years earlier. He was one of the biggest new names of 1990-91, his singles were huge and I personally loved the album; I still do. :)
He had such a bonafide big soul voice, rich and booming yet intimate, and a bag of great songs. Superb production too. This song has an epic flow to it, everything sounds like it just evolves organically on the spot - a testament to the production skills of Trevor Horn of course.
There ain't a song on that album that isn't a banger
@@louise_rose I agree that it’s a great album. But, comparing him to Jimi??
@@Dman425 I was just thinking of the impact the album had on listeners at the time, compared to "Are You Experienced?", not the stature of the two guys in terms of their life achievement. :) I love both albums (though I haven't kept track much of what Seal was up to after this amazing debut).
This is one of my favorite new discoveries (if it matters to you who's reading this). I've been away from my favorite pastime due to addiction and jail'n. Besides that , I'm one of those aging loser stoners who has always felt unattractive to the world and felt like I didn't belong (and I still do at 50). Im still a fan of King Diamond and all that. Thanks for the jam SEAL. BLAZE IT !
My fave of his!
Uno de los inicios de canción más potentes que he escuchado!
This is from his 1991 self-titled debut - Still his best IMO. But this version is 'sanitized' - they faded out before that beautiful finale with just voice acoustic guitar, strumming those minor 11 chords.
I had this Video with songs made for damn near the whole album back in 1990, shit was dope
The Music Takes You round And round And round
Thanks Bass Bumpers
I just keep coming back to this song 😌
This is my break-up survival song. Makes you a better person..
i just can't get enough of it
Always love this song
This song reminds me of when I was 3 years old and riding with my dad in his car from Florida to Indiana. Of course this song played a lot and I loved this song.
Memories of the beautiful summer of 1991
J'ai acheté l'album j'avais 15 ans...1990 thank seal...😘🇨🇵
I never realized there was a video for this. I've owned this album since it came out.
IMPRESSIVE THIS SONG AND THE MELODY
Takes me back to my college days!
Un pezzo trascinante e una voce particolare......
Took me back..to the beginning...he ALWAYS amazed me..very powerful!
I still think Seal was a very creative artist.
Very good this music!
I'm a 35 year old hood nigga and I'm just getting down with this masterpiece in 2020 smh. Better late than never
this is soooooo 90's ,i luv it!
love this album
Whoa, WBR! Welcome back!!! :D
Of course Seal is terrific, but this is Trevor Horn in one of his most shining moments as a producer. It still sounds amazing after almost 20 years.
Agree, superb production work and arranging. It sounds both tight and loose at the same time, fits like a draped dress on a woman's body. That debut album was one of Horn's greatest production jobs ever.
When I watched this music video for the first time back in 1991, I was overwhelmed by that effect of the camera on the chained mic swinging back and forth to Seal's hand.
This song makes me better person !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seal is so handsome and what a voice
Seal's 1991 self-titled debut record is IMHO still his best work. And this opener is just killer, melodic, great groove, metaphysical lyrics. Too bad they ditched the beautiful outro.
This is the lp edit
@@alegauna366 I have the CD . The version it has is the longer one. Why is the 'lp edit' different?
All of that is 100%. Shame about the edit, indeed.
@@alegauna366 Yeah, my album version is 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
Agreed. I bought the cassette in fall ‘91, eventually updated to CD, then digital. It’s one of the VERY few albums that I still play several times per month. The keyboard here 3:00 gives me goosebumps and heartache.
Got back with my girlfriend when this was out,21 years later we are still married..👍
E continuarão se Deus y. Lindo isso
Seal has some amazing videos!
You may be cool but you'll never be cooler than Seal with dreads ☄☄☝🏾☝🏾
Le meilleur morceau de Seal !
And then eight years later, Basement Jaxx released Red Alert:
"And the music keeps on playin' on and on"
The music Is Life.....

que música maravilhosa!
I never saw this. OH MY! CLASSIC.
Gosh! I can't believe it's been so many years since this came out! It reminds me of how old I am. Yikes! ;-) I agree with folks who are saying how much the quality of music has changed. I like my music to have substance with words I can understand. Hmm... I seem to remember folks that were 20+ years older than me, years ago, saying similar things about the music of MY generation... LOL! =)))
True
Who's still listening to it in 2020?
CARAMBAAA!!!!!!! =10= Nota =10= esse cara mandou bem e até foi música do "Ao Mestre com carinho 2" T.O.P.
My favorite!!
