Lyrics:
In a church by the face
He talks about the people going under
Only child know
A man decides after seventy years
That what he goes there for
Is to unlock the door
While those around him criticize and sleep
And through a fracture on that breaking wall
I see you my friend and touch your face again
Miracles will happen as we trip
But we're never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No we're never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Cray cray crazy
Crazy are the people walking through my head
One of them got a gun to shoot the other one
And yet together they were friends at school
Get it, get it, get it, yeah!
If all were there when we first took the pill
Then maybe then maybe then maybe then maybe
Miracles will happen as we speak
But we're never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No we're never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Crazy
No no we'll never survive unless we get a little bit
A man decides to go along after seventy years
Oh darling
In a sky full of people only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
In a world full of people only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
Crazy
In a heaven of people there's only some want to fly
Ain't that crazy
Oh babe Oh darlin'
In a world full of people there's only some want to fly
Isn't that crazy
Isn't that crazy Isn't that crazy Isn't that crazy
Oh
But we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we're never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
But we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we're never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
No no never survive unless we get a little bit
And then you see things
The size of which you've never known before
They'll break it
Someday
Only child know
Them things
The size
Of which you've never known before
Someday

I am 50 years old. This is my favorite song of all time!
1974 🎧
Yes and yes :)
The new 25😅
You are not the only one, I am 54 years old and this song Open to me the door to entry in groups of "young people" like the millenials and a other like they...
I am 80 years old and love Seal...he is a masterpiece
This is timeless. I hope younger people are lucky enough to run across the song and appreciate this masterpiece.
I felt the same way when I finally discovered Simply Red again this year. I don't know where I was back then
lol somebody showed me this yesterday
I've had the vinyl 45 since the song was new. I knew it would make a lifetime memory.
We did !I cannot believe this is a 90s song
Are you talking about "Crazy" or "A kiss from a rose"? They aren't the same song, right?
The song is great but the voice of this man is just exceptional !
SEAL ROCKS!
Talisman play a brilliant cover of this live.
100 % agree 👍🏼
This is not a song, it is a mood.
❤️
0:44 for sure 🎉
It's a state of being...
30 years later, I feel quite comfortable in saying that in my opinion, this is probably the finest piece of pop music ever made. This song will never grow old on me. Pure perfection.
I used to feel that way about my Ex Wife.
Agreed 👍
@@rebeccaphelps3196
When did you meet my ex wife?
🤣😂🤣
Me too ☺
I mean about the song
I am 51 now and this is still perfect.
52 here and you're spot on..... Its a classic.
68 here. Yes love this song. The words are very relatable.
Today's my 50th birthday and the DJ asked me, "What's your favorite song?" And I said, "Crazy by Seal" ❤🥂🎶🎉
Thank you Seal, we all love you!
This is exactly the kind of music the world needs right now. A healing melody.
Right now everyone is carrying around so much hurt and pain....we need music and the melodies of heaven to heal our souls, if we keep going, we will never come back, we are going the wrong way....
Oh shut up
@Adam Drach But were never gonna survive, unless we are a little Crazy😎
Exactly 💯
I totally agree. If we can't "feel crazy" we're gonna REALLY go crazy. Seal is the shit
To most people "Kiss from a rose" is the song that made Seal immortal, to me it's this one. A timeless masterpiece.
Same here. ❤
Absolutely! Seal's first album was and is a MASTERPIECE!
Both to me
I’ve decided every single one he sings falls into the timeless category!
Agree with you! But do LOVE "Kiss from a Rose" :)
❤❤❤2024 who's listening now?

We're never gonna survive unless we get a little bit crazy! Truer words were never spoken!
I agree. You are on point.
I recall one night in the early 90s. Our neighbor across the street playing this jam non stop for an hour straight! No one complained or called the police. Her husband happened to past away that night at home from cancer and this jam was their favorite song. RIP Ricky!!!🙏
Such profound memories.....God bless Ricky's soul....so nice of her to keep jamming this number for her dying husband....it takes a lot of courage....such is the power of SEAL......he is simply brilliant and so is Crazy.....Respect.
😪❤
Is a good jam!
Amen. I played the Night my Father died. I sang and YELLED for hours,
off the BACK PORCH of my House in Florida.
I think the Alligator liked it.
Soul Opening.
Soul cleansing.
RIP. RICKY!! 🙏🏼❤️
People who wrote, composed, produced and arranged this song are absolutely genius. Seal's voice is out of this world.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of male singers with voices just as good
@@JeepCherokeeful Well having a good voice is not enough. They are lacking in charisma, drive, ambition and looks which is important. Seal is very unique and interesting looking. Also, let's not forget in music business you need to be also very lucky to meet the right people and afterwards to have a right team of musicians, writers and producers too.
Trevor Horn strikes "again". The man is one of the best producers in the world.
@@JeepCherokeeful 🤣 So just why don't you name them? You can't. Specially nowadays. Because NONE of today's Pop music artists sound alike SEAL!
@@andybertozzi Absolutely! Trevor Horn is a legendary producer. Period.
Alguém ouvindo em 2024? ❤
I could literally watch this over and over. I saw Seal recently, in 2023 in London and my god he's just one of the best. Seriously, 30 odd years later and this album still sounds as fresh as it ever did. What has happened to music? They definitely don't make them like this anymore.
1990: The future will be awesome!
2023: Let's get back to 90's
You are absolutely right 🤗
correct ^^
Literally
The problem isn't that the future turned out to be bad. Problem is too many people were trying to drag us back to the past, whether that mean 1980, 1950, 1920, or 1600.
f*****g SPOT ON, my good sir!! 👍🏻 1:43

What the hell. Great song. Even in 2024. Love it.
Other civilizations should watch this video and listen to this song and take note. We were humanity.
Probably one of the most stylish hits to come out of the 90’s. Seal is pure perfection.
I have said that this song was the definitive early 90’s song
He was serving !
If you like this, then listen to Elemental by Tears for Fears
This song stopped me dead in my tracks the first time I heard that synth intro. I was walking out of the living room to grab some munchies and froze and turned back to look at the t.v. cuz groove was so powerfully and unique. And back in 1991 I was a pure Metal Head and did not listen to much else. What an amazing tune. It has it all, vocals, lyrics, beat, attitude, and that synth . A true masterpiece .
The 90's called. It wants your failure to be saved by Nirvana back.
It’s been said many times but I’m gonna say it again, music is the closest thing we have to a time machine...
It's also prophesy of what's yet to come.
Especially with music videos!!!
So true. Takes me back to college. Good times.
very true and also what we have most at hand to express all kinds of feelings 🤗
UA-cam helps too
This song sounds worlds away from the eighties.
Who doesn't understand this music doesn't understand life🙌🏾
When this song was released in the 90’s I was a college college student. I felt it really had a futuristic quality. Now it’s 2023 and this song still feels ahead of it’s time.
I remember the first time I saw this song (and heard it) on Mtv I was frozen in mid step walking to the kitchen. The synth grabbed me as well as Seal himself. I am a guitarist of 44 yaeas playing, and am very much a metal head. But all different music moves me , Hip-Hop, older rock, and much more. If I hear talent, I dig it, most cases that is. Seal hit me in the jaw with something wonderfully different that day. Love the dude !!
@@gib59er56exactly. I love ALL music. Its the universal language
@@thediaz07 Damn straight. There are times when I hear a song and my dark side says "turn it off, it`s by that idiot" but the better side will say "damn, never thought they had a single good quality, and this is cool!"
Seal was highly under rated, 1990s 2000s. He was great for his era. 🎤
You got that right, the song has that futuristic quality because its ambient synth stylings came about years before it was used by Paul van Dyk and William Orbit.
And I keep thinking, "...for an early 90's song, it is definitely ahead of its time", always a bop a listen to, even now in 2024.
This is definitely one of the most memorable songs of the 90s. I feel like it's kind of ingrained in all of us who grew up then.
Def a 90’s Song!
I'm a victim too . Happy to be
This is one of 3 songs of that time that have stuck with me, the other 2 are Disappear by INXS and Justify my Love by Madonna. Those days have definitely left an impression🤔
@Ted Ching I can kinda see why INXS are still a big thing in the US, if you go back to 'Kick', that was like the big bang for them, tailor made for MTV, Michael Hutchence was all over the place...the future was set, their whole back catalogue is very US friendly. I miss MH, the whole thing about that was sad. We don't seem to have any decent rock gods anymore...that was another good thing about the 90s🤔 At least the music keeps us smiling👍
@Ted Ching Simply Red did a concert about 15 miles from me in the UK 2 nights ago, couldn't go cos of work but seen them 30 years ago at Wembley Stadium, unforgettable experience! I try to keep open on contemporary stuff but it really is few and far between, as with anything...less is more...more is less. I got a 23 year old son and he's even dissallusioned with most of today's music, preferring to listen to Elton, George Michael, Simple Minds or Tears for Fears and he's discovered those himself and not me influencing him etc. If you liked a song years ago you'd actually have to make quite a bit of effort to get it, even taping it off the radio, you know? Now you can get it on here or other sites in seconds but then get bored of it after 10 minutes🤣 I think the last new song I was impressed with was Overpass Graffiti by Ed Sheeran, I'm not a fan but I think it's a well crafted good old pop song...there's still hope👍
Seal was ahead of his time his beats was futuristic. His voice was unique and you can tell he inspired some of these kids fashion today. You don’t see this kind of uniqueness and artist nowadays.
Listening in the year of 2024. I love Seal's songs ❤
Such a great song. Seal doesn’t get enough credit for his artistry.
This is the type of song that truly transcends time an space in the good great way!

They dont do music like this anymore, so stylish, so chic and so much passion.....and yet so cool.

Yes yes
35yo here, theres a bunch of good music out there in this style, like The Weekend or Lil Yachty (I always thought it was a mumble rapper but found myself catching some tunes of him that sounds experimental)
@@OctarineCode sounds experimental, maybe so but what you need is good melody with killer hook. Sounds like dosent cut it
I love it now better than when I loved it when it came out. Stands the test of time. Great tune!!!! 2024
I miss when artists used to put absolutely everything into their music video performance. Like it was the last music video they were ever going to make.
The songs on this album helped me escape the pain of physical and emotional child abuse. I get a little choked up when listening to this song and the image of my old Walkman and taped up headphones. I’d play this whenever I could “get away”.

This song could be released tomorrow and it would still probably be more amazing than anything over the past fifteen years.
Let's do it!
I thought it was quite funny that it was playing as I was strolling through Home Depot in 2023. It's either a timeless piece, or they know their customers are mostly early millennials now.
Facts!
i concur.
It already is better than anything produced over the past fifteen years.
Seal's voice is simply beyond words. 💖💖💖
I was only 7 when this song debuted. I wish I could invent a time machine so I could go back in time and experience the '90s again.
It is hard to believe that it is 30 years old. Sounds like it came out in 2020. Endless this song
I would say that it has the sound of some of its European contemporaries in the late-80's, early-90's. Depeche had released Violator not long before, and U2's Achtung Baby came out the same year. There was this fusion of hip-hop beats, industrial rock, and funk going on at the time.
Certainly sounded very futuristic, and it holds up well today.

Dat nigguh Arthor The song was released in 1991 , man.
I was 24 years old, dating a blonde bimbo and clubbing with her and her friends every weekend. so much sex, alcohol, drugs and party music has never been consumed since
+Richard Catto Yip. I was doing the same stuff at that age.... Rock and Roll from 23 - 37. In that time, I established myself in my job, had money, lovely house, ok car, great bike and every weekend consisted of drunken debauchery. I was boozing like Oliver Reed and riding like Hugh Hefner. What an absolute blast I had.
I was fully aware that life is for living - and I lived it. Wish I could relive a few of those days again. Good music and fantastic friends....
I have three photographic images which still haunt me. One was of me and my school buddies in 1985 outside a Sea Point nightclub about to enter. The second is of me and new friends taken in 1991 also in Sea Point outside a nightclub. The third is of me with the woman who was doomed to be my wife and some of her friends in Sea Point outside a restaurant. All photographs were taken at night by no-one I can remember using a camera I don't think I ever possessed. Behind us in the middle distance, stands a slightly out of focus hooded figure looking in our direction.
Today, I am the only person in those three photographs who is still alive. I don't know how much time I have left. Wait, was that a knock at my door? BRB

Many valid comments, but nobody's mentioned the visionary talent of producer Trevor Horn, whose record label released this album. I was fortunate enough to work with him as one of his keyboard programmers in the 80's. A complete mastermind genius . . . and that's to take nothing away from Seal.

I love this so much. It came out in the 90's when I was a teenager and telling people the truth about my abusive, narcissistic parents who then lied that I was a drug addict to have me locked up in a psych center. Little did they realize that the therapists would figure them out and release me. Get CRAZY & stand up for what's right, tell the truth, GOD is your witness.

it is a God given talent. And yes I do think he is overall great singer. Yes this is one of his better songs
This song has become my anthem. A few years ago, I was listening to one song after another on youtube at work. I was working at a company that had become somewhat toxic over the years, and with all their strict rules, I felt like I was on edge all the time. This gem showed up in Up Next one afternoon, and somehow, it inspired me. I decided to hand in my notice that night. This song empowered me and gave me hope that there was definitely something better out there for me. I went in the next day after notifying HR that I was parting company, cleaned out what little I had personal-wise at my desk, finished the day, and never returned. Today is my one year anniversary at my new job with a great company that cares about its employees, like no other company I've ever worked at. So I'm listening to Seal, listening to this song, realizing that yes, I'm one of those few people that want to fly.
your comment means so much to me, i am in the transition stage of sorting out my life, and leaving my work was the most important part of it. I even did temp work (which sux) for a few months and ended up turning down a few job offers, until I found the right one. If you keep positive and impress the interviewer that you have a can-do attitude, it'll work out.
@@terilara8878 thank you. i started to do exercise which is helping. Still till now after a month i left the job i still am depressed over it when i think about i was getting under paid illegally and the bosses never gave a rats ass about me as they kept a straight face in front of me.
@@akarabu1228 Lol yeah Fuck em' all!
Awesome Seal, "Crazy" its a great song... 👍
This song is timeless.
When this song came out I didn't pay much attention, although it was played frequently on radio. In 2024, this song has meaning & was way ahead of its time.
I have Schizophrenia and I like the song Crazy. Oscar Levant once said, "There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line". It shows that genius and crazy are not that far apart. Genius and mental illness, I feel, can exist in harmony within a person.

One of the greatest songs ever made. A song for The Angels.
Very well engineered, even with his speech impairment is what makes this song a masterpiece
Definitely in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. I could listen to Seal’s voice all day.
Right? I wanna be his wife and just wake up to this each morning without having to tell Alexa lol
