This casual and entertaining program will provide all drummers with useful tidbits that can be put to direct use on your next gig or practice session. Although Derek is known for his metal playing, his approach to these topics (and the comments offered by the panel) apply to all styles. As a bonus, the program includes footage of Derek playing along to 5 tracks, and an improvised drum solo.

You do realize that Derek Roddy had a big influence on George's early death metal playing style... I mean hell, Derek laid down all the tracks except for one on the Nile's "Black Seeds of Vengeance" album.

how was the set miked? i see no cables and it sounds awesome
If you listen to the bass drums, you can hear that they sound inconsistent. His signature pedals don't have dynamic triggers, nor are their inbuilt triggers always active, so if he had their triggers engaged every bass drum stroke would sound identical.

Comparisons like these are stupid and a waste of time. Why compare when you can actually learn and then practice? Both Roddy & Kollias are EXTREMELY good in their respective areas. And I guarantee you, neither one cares who's "better" than the other. Just play drums, respect the drummers, and enjoy the music. It's not that hard to do. :)

Pfft! like it matters, Roddy still like hes struggling all the time and kollias loooks like he just had a coffee, read a magazine and got bored so decided to play some drums.
Pfft! George plays everything Roddy can but better andf faster!, the clear winner is George by a MILE here.

Kollias is fast, but not very inventive. I'm sure he could play it, but I bet he couldn't have thought of it.
