I appreciate and admire the saving mechanic in this game, it is telling you to not get too hung up on outcomes and just experience it and keep moving forward. How BG3 did it is to "reward" failures in a sense lol. We get too hung up on specific outcomes and forget to actually experience the game, the journey.
And kcd2 will have so much replayability for this… Like my first play through for every game is usually just whatever happens, happens. I just love that kcd2 will allow for these different pathways, so I genuinely don’t mind the saving mechanics. W on warhorse’s part.
The only times I reloaded were when I severely misunderstood what Henry's reaction was going to be with a given choice. When the option sounded like what I was thinking but then he went completely ape-shit accusing people, changing the meaning etc., doing stuff that I would never have done if I understood the direction even remotely correct, that's when I had to set it straight. A failure of RP basically. I hate those.
It's very similar to how people were in uproar over Dragon's Dogma esentially making them play iron man mode, until it became clear that was a deliberate choice and why.
Trolls, all of you. Saving is just another example of these East European dilletants not knowing how to ever release a working, finished game. The first was almost Cyberpunk disaster at release, unfit for sale.
Just a thought. It's going to be a huge download so I would book the day after if I were you. Download on you Bday while at work. Have a couple of drinks that evening if that's your thing and play all day the next day. Edit. If you get steam app on your phone you can start the download from work if you leave your computer on at home.
About the smithing, 1 thing I heard the devs say in the same stream (or the one before, I think it was this one) is that similar to sharpening your blade it will give you a cue when you're doing it well. With the grindstone it was sparks flying, but with blacksmithing Henry will start whistling if you do it well
sorry to say but KCD2 most likely won't get game of the year even if it came out next year...coz there's so many games games that came out that garnered so much attrition this year not to mention KCD is a niche of game and if it came out next year it'll be competing with GTA6...not saying GTA6 has it already in the bag it could suck some fat ass but still, its GTA6
To me that's almost a positive. I'm pretty sure those award shows are all corrupt. Also the games with the largest audiences are the most streamlined for idiots. I hate that in games. More My Summer Car, less Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty's campaign for my taste.
@@panzer00 Oh absolutely! Fallout 3 made GOTY somehow. It shared a release Windows with fucking Dead Space. A week later we got Mirror's Edge and FUCKING *LEFT 4 DEAD.* Absolute clowns.
Sir Toby said in the last showcase that they consider not adding it at all. It sounded like the game doesn't have a hardcore mode currently and like they didn't like the idea of it generally. To my massive disappointment because I was planning on doing the same. I don't even need the negative perks, just remove the player icon on the map, remove cardinal directions from the compass, remove fast travel, remove free food pots at every corner, remove the health and stamina bars to force the use of visual effect cues, make perfect blocks take stamina and I'm happy.
1. There will be hardcore mode, but much later (same as with KCD1) 2. If not, I'm sure someone will make a HC mod. 3. You can't know if there's going to be customization options (HUD, map etc.)
Love this gameplay series every time, Resonant!😍 I’m excited to see what the next episode will be like though. Can't wait! By the way, it would be awesome if you could check your inbox - we've sent you an email!🤗
That harvesting animation will get old after 1 time, after 10 times you're gonna want to claw your eyes out. how a developer doesn't understand this is beyond me, i guess its the same as for many musicians or movie directors etc, they're so over confident that they're sure even their shit smells nice.
have you concidered that this is a technical issue? not that developers want to do it this way, but they have to, to avoid other problems. I always thaught that they made it this way because the animation would never be able to fit wel with every flower on every terrain and there is also an aspect of motion sickness when you get down and up in 1st person. maybe im wrong but to think this is in the game because of hubris is pretty stupid
@@Phosphiris i must have played around 100 3D games which includes harvesting plants. They work 100% fine without including a lengthy animation of you actually picking it up. How you do it: click plant, plant disappears. Feels immersive and satisfying enough and more importantly, it's not the least annoying since its so quick. Also the first game was also annoying with this, but mods came to fix it. How hard is it for a developer to look at number of downloads for such a mod to realize it's what their audience wants, or to just look at some of the critique and fix it for the second game. No one wants this.

4:00 these repair kits are in KCD 1 too and work literally the same way
KCD2 comes out on my birthday. Probably going to take the day off work to celebrate by playing!
Now that's awesome, ain't it? 😌
Unfortunately its a tuesday. Would be awesome if it was a Friday for a 3Day weekend of GAMING

I heard that the whistling will tell us the rhythm of the hammering.
What a view ! Is the new I’m quite hungry 😂 here we go again

GOTY is a scam anyways.
Fuck the game awards.

Who cares "GOTY" 🤔
Kcd does not need a award it is own genre of gaming, story telling, history of the region.
I love it man guarantee. I can’t wait for next year 🔥
I might start on hardcore, finished the first one and it was the best gaming experience ever.

Its gonna be amazing love this game so much
I feel like role-playing as an assassin and just play the game without being detected
On which system did they play the demo? I'm concerned about the 30fps on console..
It was never going to be anything but 30fps on consoles

Hated it in KCD1 , then I got it on PC and installed a mod that got rid of the animation
The niche game for suckers, like the first was.
Not worth 2€ on sale.
what disability is this?
