I believe that truck was owned by old farmer couple and they withdrew some money from local JA (agricultural corporative)bank imagining their grandchildren’s happy faces.
Maybe they found nicer envelope and just forgot JA bank envelope.

I like the bumper on the commercial one more, the painted white or silver looks a lot better than the black. The black mirrors look better than the chrome though.

Glad you got the sister to the ugly duckling. It's all worth the money with a clean body. I knew you wouldn't roll around in a Sambar with a built in sauna. The paint on the new one is night and day. Hydraulic dump bed and you will want to park it in the garage. Nice find!

I replaced the horn cover on mine because I didn’t like the the faded color of it. It made my OCD flare up.
How hard is it to remove?
I am going next week to look at a 98 with 83000 km on it is there anything you would recommend that I pay special attention to or look for? this will be the first time I will have even sat in one so I am a little inexperienced with kei trucks. Thanks

That's the redline in each gear displayed. Since it doesn't have a tachometer.
What type of refrigerant does it take? Did the Japanese domestic cars use r134a before USDM cars?
It's a 134a system.

I have a 1987 Subaru sambar 2cylinder 550cc and I’m guessing it’s a rear model because I can’t find any videos about it!! Parts are impossible to find so I was thinking about swapping for a different engine. Anyone know what type of engine would work the best or easiest.

I also have a 1994 Super Deluxe Sambar with stock suspension and Bridgestone RD604 145R12s. I have a chance to pick up a set of 4x100 13” rims for $10 a rim and was curious if you knew of a tire that will fit the Sambar without having to lift it. The tires currently on these rims are 175/80R13. Thanks.
I have 14s on my Sambar right now. Cant recall tire size. I believe I mention it in another Sambar video here on the channel.

I do all the time. These carbed models will go 60/65mph,comfortably. The supercharged version will go about 70mph.
