Ohhh that sounds so gorgeous and perfect for the holidays! 😍 I didn’t notice any contamination but that’s a great question. I assume because the white is really pigmented it was okay. You could also when pouring over pour just enough to coat the nail and tap off the excess quickly! When in doubt, I always try on a swatch first 😆 please keep me posted on how it goes if you try! 🫶🏻
Wow thank you so much for the information you provided in this video!!! So helpful! It really helped me with the steps and I can't wait to try and French Mani. Yours turned out so pretty 😍.
Amazing! You answering questions I didn't know I had, like the sheer powders and gel encapsulation. Thank you. ❤ What did you think about the liquids you used?
So glad it was helpful! 🫶🏻 I like the gel base! No complaints. But the gel top coat isn’t my fav. I’ve tried it a few times and it’s just so much thicker than what I’m used to. Sort of like a builder gel consistency. I do like that it’s HEMA free but the thickness isn’t my jam. I do like this Kiara Sky gel top coat though! It’s a thinner consistency and still great shine ✨ amzn.to/40Injly
Hi I have a question about the gel dip method. It may sound stupid but I am doing my nails tomorrow and want to get it right. I was watching the video and you said if you were more prone to chipping/peeing you could add a layer of base coat, cure, too coat the cure, after filing and shaping. Do you mean to do that as the very last steps after I do my design ( I am doing a design)? So i do design, cure, base coat, cure, too coat, cure. I got confused when you said to do it after filing and shaping since you do that twice. Do i do the optional step with base coat then top coat right after I’ve done my design, correct ? Love your videos. They’ve been such a help. This is my first time doing the gel dip method. I have done dip a few times before but it makes me very sick everytime I do. I am also alreayd dealing with some kind of unknown skin allergy (going on 5 years now) with still no clue what causes it. But I am excited to try this new method!!!
Same sister! The beauty of gel is that you can wipe it off and try as many times as you want. I started with just doing ONE feature nail with a line to build up confidence. I still have never done a whole hand tho! 🤣
I personally wear peel base so it only last a few days. Peel base let’s me pop off the dip powder without soaking in acetone. With the proper prep though a dip powder manicure can last weeks 🫶🏻
Hi! 😊 I was wondering if you could leave the top clear (not use any color at all) instead of using the peach. Could you just cure it with the white to give you more of the natural look of your nail?
Ohhhh hmmm I haven’t tried it personally but I see where your heads at! I think it would work but it may be slightly more raised at the white tip because it has powder. But that’s a great idea!!
@@SipAndDip me neither esp cuz if it gets spidered on it can get on the skin and cause exposure 😖. But thinking if I paint it on that’s safer…and Color My World has a gold spider gel on sale today! 😍
Ohhh really?? That’s interesting!! I haven’t had an issue so far with peel base and gel but I also have oily nail beds 🙈 I did see a peel off gel base coat! I haven’t personally tried it but it may work great for you in this case! 🫶🏻
@@SipAndDip I have tried a half doz peel bases unt, maniboss tripled, sparkle and co and I have to practically chisel off my dip but I dip over builder gel usually and I top coat my builder gel. The kimberz Creations has worked the best for me. I use 2 - 3 coats of peel base with gel.
Is that why I have such a problem with peeling?! Oily nails? It happens even on just buffed dip powder layers too. I'm about to give up on top coating dip powder nails with gel!
I feel you on the oily nails 😮💨 definitely give the base gel (cure 60 sec) then gel top (cure 60 sec) trick a try!! And also, try skipping the buffing block on the dip powder and use a 180 grit. You got this! 🫶🏻 lemme know how it goes!!
I love the silver line. It really makes it look beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful designs.
Thank you Kathy! I can’t resist adding sparkle 🤣✨
Beautiful nails! I love your explanations and demonstration of how to's! I have always get confused on how to use the base gel to encapsulate.
Love this. Going to give this a try next week. I am always too slow when using dip liquids for French mani’s.
This would be perfect for you !! No rushing 🙌🏼
These are gorgeous! The silver gel paint gave it a festive looks for the holidays
Yesss! It was the pop that I was hoping for! ✨
I love the extra bling! 😁
Yesss!! Me too! It’s so hard not to add some sparkle 🤣🙈
Lovely Chelsea!! I hope you had a wonderful Gobble Gobble day! Thank you my friend! Aimeili is an amazing brand!
Thanks sweet friend!! I’m still in a food coma 🤣 I hope you and your loved ones had a nice day too!! 🫶🏻
Perfectly timed and great video! I was thinking red and green tips with the silver line would be so cute and festive too!
When you pour over with the pink and then cure, how do you keep from the pink contaminating the white on your nail?

I agree totally and thanks for this inspiration. The idea to combine gel and powder is super. Thanks a lot❄️🕯🧑🏽🎄🎄😍
Beautiful and great tips as always. Thanks to you I added glass tools to my prep and it’s been a game changer 😊
Yayyy! So happy to hear this! 🫶🏻

So helpful and thorough! Thanks Chelsea ❤️
Great video. It also explains why I had so much trouble using the gel method with a sheer pink dip powder. I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t cure.
Oh noo! That sounds so frustrating!! Gel really can be amazing but she also will put up a fight 🤣
Sooooo cute! Thanks for the tips Chels!
Thank you!! 🫶🏻 I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving 🤎

Thank you Ginny!! 🫶🏻 I feel so 90’s with it 😆🥰
Beautiful. I don't have the confidence to do the sparkly line. Thanks Chelsea.
It took me 2 years to attempt a French manicure so I absolutely understand 🫶🏻

Do you ever find that the gel dip method turns out thicker than a classic gel application?

So you don’t need to use an activator when using gel products with dip?
Exactly! It hardens once cured in the lamp 🫶🏻
I wish there was a peel-base that lasts a week with using your hand often. That would be my ideal.
I wish the same 😩 I’ve heard of a particular brand that I want to test to see because I’ve seen longer wear time with gel products
