You did an amazing job!! 👏🏼 i’m amazed! You made it look soooo easy! 🥴 girl to girl tho ~ have you had that lil dark mole on your finger checked? i went back-and-forth forever wondering if I should say anything at all… But after going through s1 melanoma surgery (painful) and the fear and as i sit here surviving, I believe it is an absolute yes!! it’s out of simple concern for you and my own pay it fwd to speak up and educate. if I didn’t mention it I’d wonder the rest of my life if I could’ve saved someone but was too afraid to speak up bc some troll might misunderstand and be nasty to me. Anyway, stay safe and keep up the amazing videos!! 🤩 No need to answer etc just had to ask and pass it on, couldn’t find an email and i’m old and grey so i don’t have instagram lol 😂
He did a great job I love this. I've done mine as well but I do it the other way around I'll put the full nail coverage on and then I will put the white dip. I add a little bit of the nail polish to my tips and then dip it into the white after I've already done my full coverage and it really works great that way for me. Thank you for this video. Congratulations with your graduation
Your nails look great. I've tried several times with Nicole Diary products & they never cure. I think they sent me old product. Hopefully I'll have success with the line you use. Thanks so much.
Recently found your channel and love it! I wear a couple coats of hard gel on my natural nails and use regular polish. I was a nail tech for 30 years, retired now, always wore long acrylic nails. I got into hard gel a few years ago and let my own nails grow out, they've grown super long, I cut them down, start over, etc. depending on my mood. Then Dip Nails comes along and I think "Oh great, something else new for me to try!" But I have about 300 bottles of polish and don't want to invest in anything else, not even gel polish. I have to admit, watching you do dip nails has been fun to watch, relaxing and has made me want to invest in the kits I need to do it. keep up the great videos!
I do dip nails ritually. I take a month off every 2 or 3 months to allow my nails to breathe. But I keep my nails done any other time.. but I came to say girl. Don't let the fact yu have loads of polish at home stop you from trying something yu want to do. Bc I assure yu I have 100s of dip colors. And I still have clients come in sometimes and they want specific design colors...or want a polish look over the clear dip overlay and I find myself using my polishes quit often. I've used up polish since starting and bought more. I have so much money in my nail stuff it isn't even funny😂 my hubby says I have an addiction😂 but I can't help it. When yu have clients and urself to do...yu need all the stuff I have lol. So go ahead girl and venture into the other products and new ideas out there if yu want to. You'll still use ur polishes i promise it won't be a waste. ❤😊
Hi all, just another idea for keeping the brush clean between coats, is to have 2 brushes (I buy mine from Sally's in a pack of 2, really cheap). Then clean them in cleaning solution between each coat, so you'll always have a clean, not clumpy brush contaminating the product 😀
i do not have a french video using fake tips but i do have one using dip powder over natural nails! if you wanted to do a french with tips i would recommend using white tips and then apply clear or pink dip on top.
I’ve tried doing my own dip nails twice and each time have had quite a severe allergic reaction to what I believe to be the activator. Is it possible to use gel base and top coats with dip powders and cure each layer instead of using the activator?
I have several respiratory responses to dip at home as well. Super frustrating because I have gone to the salon several times with no reaction. I figured it was the powder, though. I'll be interested to see if excluding the activator helps you. I use a chemical respirator and take benedryl before I start to reduce the effects.
Help! I bought a regular base gel (no UV lamp required), white dip powder, but when I dip the finger, the powder doesn't stay on the nail and "bleeds" onto the rest of the nail. What an I doing wrong?
hi! maybe the layer of base is too thick so that when you dip into the powder, the pressure pushes the base around and leads to it bleeding into the cuticles. i find thin coats really are the way to go. i hope that helps!
omg i'm so new dip powder and this tut was sooo helpful!! Thank you so much for this! If I ever learn how to do this, I'm gonna do this forever, seriously, it's so beautiful!
How do you get ur cuticles so clean without dead skin everywhere?? I have only done dip twice but the cuticle part and getting all the dead skin off the side took me hours, (the longest part for me)..I can push them back fine and scrape the skin off nail, but when it comes to the second part, I don’t think I know what I’m doing lol🤦🏼♀️...what happens after u push them back and the skin rises up? Is it supposed to get like that? And I’ve watched tons of videos and I use cuticle oil everyday 🤷🏼♀️
This peel off base coat is new to me I didn’t even know you could get this . The French manicure would look good with the sparkle pink that you have on the other hand .
i would say my favorite brand would have to be sparkle and co! it’s really hard to decide though because i have so many favorite products from different brands.
looks super easy. I almost bit the bullet and went to the salon because french tip is always to darn hard. definitely going to grab that dip tray. thanks for the video !
Kate .. Kate .. Kate 😯 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 Beautiful job. I just tried this powder for the first time. 20mins ago. I’m about to take it off and get this French kit. Your Nails came out beautifully.
I saw on Amazon that the Gershion Top Coat wouldn't stick to the dip powder and would actually peel off. Did you notice that? Would you recommend another Top Coat for dip powder? What's your favorite Top Coat to use for dip powder?
hi! i have never experienced that with the gershion gel top. the most common reason for gel lifting over dip is having the dip surface be too smooth. i recommend using a gentle file to lightly scratch the surface of the dip so the gel can adhere properly. my favorite gel top coat for adding to dip nails is the modelones no wipe one! 🤍

katesnails thank you! I ordered the Gershion and ModelOne top coats, so I’ll be experimenting to see which one I like better! :)
So, do you cook the white tips first before you add the pink powder? I don’t recall you mentioning that. Your nails are exactly what I was looking for. All the vids I watched were on fake, long nails, which I’m not into anymore. Jc
hi! i don’t know what you mean by “cook”. i do the white, tap off the excess and then immediately go in with the pink. the colors will harden relatively at the same time!
Love it. I actually order the same French dip powder dish from amazon. I want to try now. My nails have grown so much so ,I doubt they will look okay. Still have to order my clear dip from sparkle and co.
I have the sparkle and co. liquid bottles all three of them and they are like sealed shut because the liquid is sticking and not letting it be opened. Do you know why that is happening ??
hi! this is actually a quite common issue with dip liquids. it’s most likely because the product on the neck of the bottle dried and sealed the cap shut. the best way to open i find is wrap a rubber band around the cap to give some more grip allowing you to open it!
yes you can! i actually have a tutorial on doing dip powder with the "gel method" which used gel liquids instead. i recommend you check that video out!
Have seen a couple of French dip manis and I can’t wait to try this! Looks like I’ll have to change it up since I use gel liquids. 🤔 Maybe dip the tip 2x first, then cover with a French nail stencil while dipping the rest of my nail in natural pink. If you’ve done this with gel liquids and/or would be willing to do a tutorial, please let me know. 😁🙏🏾
hi! i haven’t tried this method with gel liquids, but i assume you could follow the same steps in the video! just make sure to cure between each layer.
Your videos are so so helpful! Is there a specific brand of liquids and or powders you would recommend for a beginner?? You’ve inspired me to give this a go!
thank you! i totally recommend sparkle and cos liquids and powders! they are absolutely amazing. plus if you want to save some money feel free to use my code and referral!

What is the shape of your nails? Squoval?

Best tutorial for french nails I've seen. Looks so professional, yet very simple with out the extreme filing!
Love all the nails you do, getting a new dip kit soon. Going to attempt this French, this was so helpful!!!
Best dip nails I’ve ever seen. Beautiful job and instructions!

I really needed this! These are so pretty!
That's the mani i was waiting for !!! 😁💓
I love you so much!
Panda dips is my favorite! 💜
Thank you for this video! And stopping me from spending 18$ at revel on a french mani tray lol I got the one on Amazon I hope I can do as good as you!
Your tutorials are always helpful. I'm just starting to learn how to use dip powders. Thank you for being so thorough.
Just got my sparkle and co order using your code! So excited to do some dip nails 🥰
So glad that I'm not the only one that tried this a fee times with bad results.
Your nails look great. I've tried several times with Nicole Diary products & they never cure. I think they sent me old product. Hopefully I'll have success with the line you use. Thanks so much.
First!! Yesss I’ve been waiting for this video! Love your content 💙
Really pretty. I’m looking for an easy diy French mani for the time being while I’m growing my nails out to coffin shape them.
I love how she didn’t throw away the extra powder she putted it directly to the container

@@aliciastone7013 Just one thing, you don't need to let your nails breathe. Nails, like hair, are dead when they come out of your skin. Dead keratin.
kindly what ticnique doing my dip powder step by step and is your use about product
Your videos are therapeutic. This looks great! I need that peach crush too!
This was great. Always wondered about French dip! TY

Would you happen to have a tutorial of a French dip set using fake tips? Just started out using dip and I love all your videos so far!!
i do not have a french video using fake tips but i do have one using dip powder over natural nails! if you wanted to do a french with tips i would recommend using white tips and then apply clear or pink dip on top.

i would totally recommend any of the starter kits from sparkle and co!
Love it..
This is the best french tip video ever! Super easy to follow and amazing results! 😍
thank you so much miranda! ❤️✨
This was a great tutorial and I loved how they turned out x
I love it! I need that cuticle oil pen!
Wow bellissima nails 💅dove posso acquistare il vostro brand?✌️😀
all products are linked in my description!
Is it possible to do a American manicure?? There’s not a lot of videos on YT for it. That are current techniques and products!
omg i'm so new dip powder and this tut was sooo helpful!! Thank you so much for this! If I ever learn how to do this, I'm gonna do this forever, seriously, it's so beautiful!

hi! i like to take a cuticle nipper and gently nip off only the dead skin. this allows me to get a more neat cuticle area!
katesnails When u push back the cuticles, and file gently getting all the stuff underneath, is it supposed to lift up around the nail sides?
yes! the skin should be slightly lifted.
Holy hell that's definitely awesome 👌 very nice 😀
Your nails came out totally amazing, but goodness gracious that was so much work!
I really want dip powder nails but thanks to COVID-19, I cant order anything online as my parents want me to.
Definitely one of my favourites you’ve done!! 💓
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing!
Were you able to create an apex with the dipping?
Yes! If you wanted even more of an apex, you can do thin layers of liquid and powder in the center of the nail to really create that curve.
This peel off base coat is new to me I didn’t even know you could get this .
The French manicure would look good with the sparkle pink that you have on the other hand .
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Is the thumb harder to dip
There's so many brands of dip powders/ kits out there...Which would be you best recommendation/ highest rating?
i would say my favorite brand would have to be sparkle and co! it’s really hard to decide though because i have so many favorite products from different brands.

it is a dipping powder!
I just did this tonight and it ends up looking square 😩

What a helpful video! I'm going to try this with some Thermal powders, thank you!
what video editor do you use
i use imovie!

Cook: cure. So there’s no “cooking” curing at all using dip powder’s? I’m trying to learn which technique is better for me.
@@yolyrom7233 correct! no need to cure dip manicures unless you seal the manicure in with a gel top coat. that layer would need to be cured.
@@katesnails
Thank you so much for your replies! I’m not going to be hesitant any longer. Again, thank you dear!
What polish are you using between dipping in the powders? Would a regular clear coat work?
it is a specific dip base liquid-sort of a nail glue consistency! regular polish will not work but gel would!
Love it. I actually order the same French dip powder dish from amazon. I want to try now. My nails have grown so much so ,I doubt they will look okay. Still have to order my clear dip from sparkle and co.
How does the gel top coat work on the powder? You don’t need a base/fountain?? Thank you
nope! you can apply it right over the filed and dry powder.
Great !

Hey girl! Awesome tutorial, I can see how this effect would be a little tricky to get with dip powder. I'll look up that container you used. Tfs! 💗💗xx
I’ve noticed you tried out some different dip liquids. Which one is your favorite?
i’d have to say out of all the ones i’ve tried, sparkle and co liquids are my absolute favorite!
Hi Kate, have you ever tried fairy glamor dip powder? I was on their site & they had some great reviews.
i actually haven’t!
Could you do this with gel liquid instead of acrylic liquid?
yes you can! i actually have a tutorial on doing dip powder with the "gel method" which used gel liquids instead. i recommend you check that video out!
🌹
Looks like she has an overlay
Can u give me the link to the iridescent dip powder that u had on your right hand please and thanks
the shade is “peach crush” from the sparkle and co secret menu! i’m not totally sure if it’s still available.
Why did you choose the Peppi French White over another brand?
i like the peppi white because it is super opaque and has a great formula. 🤍
beautiful french manicure
I love your nails you can make any nail thing look good
Do you think the issue of it drying to quick would be solved by using gel?
it definitely would! however, that gives more of an opportunity for the powder to move around. i might have to try that method with this technique!
what was the name of that cuticle oil pen..Would like to get some
it’s by candiskincare and linked in my description!
