But Mozart is better than Bieber
Irrelevant much?
+Deebo Molina damn straight Mozart is better than Bieber.
+Deebo Molina But what about Heinrich Biber???
Not so hard to be better than Bieber, a cat being slaughtered sound better than her
She's good. Keep her.
+REDLUFF she's on testube
+Stickyjalapeno also on tyt, but maybe not anymore..
+Lauren Stasyna She occasionally contributes to TYT, but she's no longer a regular or full-time.
Keep in mind that more Lissette means less Julia, don't tread those dangerous waters.
Aww thanks for all the love guys!
It would probably be better for a mother to sing music while pregnant and listen to music that makes the mother happy, this would pass on "happy hormones" to the child creating a bigger positive experience for the baby.
Also there is no way to correlate the results between music played to baby and not without an extensive study as there would be no control and environmental differences. The fact that middle class women tend to do this more than say a poorer class woman doesn't mean the music makes the child smarter, it means the middle class child more than likely has better nutrition and better access to enriching programs.
+Victoria Turner Complete bullshit!
Jimbo smith Please, tell me how I'm wrong? Have you studied the psychology of children? Not a sarcastic comment.. you can't just tell someone they are wrong without at least a small amount of evidence?
***** I said "happy hormone" because maybe, just maybe.. Not all people know what dopamine is? Do you ever think about other people or do you just like insulting people on youtube comments..
Not exactly.........
Imagine having a heavy metal mother while you have University and loves the same music
Music wise I choose to listen to metal, hardcore, and classical. It helps my mood and if I'm in pain it helps to alleviate it. Music is amazing and helps people in all sorts of ways.
It's weird hearing Lissette saying, "More research is needed." Not bad weird, though. She's a good fit for this channel.
+megagene I wrote that in there to get her on the bandwagon ;)
Trace Dominguez Good work, Trace!
+Trace Dominguez
we really need Lissette appearing more in Dnews episodes, although I see her frequently on Seeker Daily or Testtube New. I don't mind that Trace and Juila are not good. Your crews are excellent
+megagene Haha, yeah, Trace snuck that into my script. He's the best
+Lissette Padilla Haha, well all you need now is a punny T-shirt that says something like, "Science gives me a Hadron", and you'll be all set!
Haha my parents did that :D I don't know anything about classical music, but I know all the famous pieces by heart.
parents did it to me too, and I despise classical music, they probably burnt it out for me for life after being exposed to it for 9 months straight.
@@jcw4969 get revenge by makin them to listen to hard bass and rock music
There are potentially other factors that cloud this issue: A parent that plays music to their babies obviously is interested in their child's education and are probably also doing other things to improve this as well (e.g. interactive toys, reading to them). These other activities may be more responsible for the higher test scores than the music. These types of things make good analysis difficult and subject to biased studies.
I'd imagine it's more a case of if parents go to the effort of playing classical music during pregnancy, they'd put more thought into raising them the best way they can, encouraging their intelligence to flourish more than parents that don't do as much with their children.
i listen to big band & swing music- love that syncopated rhythm!
I am so glad my parents raised me with retro music. I am 14 years old and all my memories from when I was little involve Billy Idol, Wham!, Air Suply, Etc. I am deffenately an 80's girl through and through! :D
+Kristian King Air Supply, ;)
+gib803 when I was 5 year old our family had a halloween party. We played cake walk and the music my mom chose for the game was the song "All Out Of Love"by Air Supply! It was a fun party :D
+Kristian King your comment gave me cancer
''OMG im such an 80's girl.'' and why do you need to specify your age
+TheIndieGamesNL I don't know, lol! I guess because I am so used to reading those type of comments. really it doesn't matter what age you are!
And now, all we need is a EQ curve designed to penetrate the tissue in such a way, that the frequency spectrum that reaches the baby's eardrums is a though it where in air, as well as dedicated transducers to transmit the sound into the tissue effectively.
I'm gonna make my unborn kids listen t o death metal
FUCK YEA
They'll come out of the womb, and when they start talking they'll sound like batman.
Lachy Kyle that would be fucking awesome
+Thomas Moberly dont you mean your antichrist :p
I don't get why people play classical music in particular. The concept of classical music being seen as "smarter" is purely artificial; created by people and their perception of the world. An unborn child has no perception of the world, therefore the parents' usual musical taste would have the same effect as a Mozart piece.
go back to Dnews video this wrong one.
+SF Alba
The complex mathematical music of Mozart is far different from the constant 4/4 time signature and simplistic math used in pop music.
+bloodandwinearered remember that not all modern music has that constant 4/4 time signature. Also, I've yet to meet someone who listens to music for the sake of maths.
+SF Alba Because it requires more "thought" to listen to. In pop music, you listen to the singer, and everything else is more-or-less background noise, whereas in classical music the counterpoint formed by each of the different voices and individual characteristics and functions of instruments generally give one far more to listen and pay attention to.
+SF Alba Because parent's want to do anything to get their kid to become a genius, even if they don't understand it themselves.
love ur channel. keep feeding my mind :) thanks Dnews :)
we really need Lissette appearing more in Dnews episodes, although I see her frequently on Seeker Daily or Testtube New. I don't mind that Trace and Juila are not good. Your crews are excellent
The simplified melody we know as "twinkle twinkle little star" was actually written by Mozart. im still convicted Classical is far better then Beeber (esp for metal development, its like comparing crayons to an etcha sketch)
Any updates from studies about reading to your unborn or post?
Can DNews do a video on Noetic's it's a weird and curious subject ive tried to research it but my resources are limited.
Am I Smart?

+Kyle Fielding brother?
Never knew videogame music was a genre.

+StoreBrand
It is you non gamer infidels
I don't really believe it can make you really smart but i believe it can make you talented in music
yep. snowed in. there some lovin' goin' in.
I listen to styles P, tony yayo, Monb Deep and its helps me stay motivated. It helps me keep on task and get work done. 100 real hip hop & Rap
1:30 "Infact the Researcher behind the paper that spread the commercial madness, has come out and said that her findings were grossly misapplied and over exaggerated"
That is one big understatement. That researcher's original study was on college students, not unborn babies.
I love Lissette! I'm glad she's on this channel now.
+Edgar Herrera Thanks! I'm happy to be here
I personally learned a lot about this topic from this video. I do agree with her I believe it doesnt matter what music you try to play for your child I honestly believe it is if the baby likes the music.
Guys I’m supposed to do a presentation on this and I’m so confused 😫
Could it be good vibrations!
I wonder if they tested death metal rock on the babies and if something that extreme would changed the results.
Your hair looks awesome!
+Ruth Taylor Thanks, Ruth!
Great videos
in the description, can you guys just put the answer of the title?
great video!! I want to be just like you when I am older!!
I dont think I ever listened to Classical Music in the womb, but I know I listened to it as a toddler and loved it. Now Im in all honors and am so thirsty for knowledge it's crazy.
if I ever have a kid I'm playing metal so it doesn't grow up and listen to shit music
then why would you play metal
+Antón White I think he meant to say EDM.
I hope you don't have kids
+BomberBoy Ohh looky at this musical aristocrat, thinking some music is superior to others. lmao grow up
InbredDucks hahaha okay, I'll make sure to take life advice from someone on the internet sounds good
I don't hate any musicians except Joe Cocker, I didn't know why, when I met my biological mother apparently she loved him, so I must've been subjected to 'it' a lot, and god knows what else, lucky I'm alive 😍
What about the Metalica Effect.
so the best way of making babys smarter is making them listen to as much different genres as possible
repost?
clasic music? fuck that, my baby gonna listen to darude sandstorm 10 hours straight
Your baby's gonna come out with bleached tips. (hair)
The "when babies are in the womb, Mozart is any better than Bieber." subtitle starts on: 0,0:02:57.44 and stays up until 0:03:31.92 (all the way to the end of the video) thus rendering the video difficult to comprehend to a hard of hearing person, from that point and beyond.
I would say I like to listen Imagine Dragons.
Lissette is back!!! Woohooo!!! DNews listened!!
I need to watch this when I'm sober
I'm guessing specifically classical music is just a myth for the pretentious, but general music does something...
And after watching it, it looks like I'd be right.
I play my son The Acacia Strain while my wife sleeps and he’s moving!
My parents always played red hot chili peppers when i was in my mother and when i was young amd now i'm smarter than most of my friends
I find that certain types of music boost my productivity as well. I don't really want to name the typical genres of music though. I tend to listen to a variety of music. Sometimes music that compliments a mood or something to help me relax or focus on a project. I know this isn't really an answer per se, but it is also meant to not cause a response like "X music sucks, you should listen to Y".
X music sucks, you should listen to Y
Work at the speed of music, turn on "Aces High", get work done within seconds
If there is a possibility of it doing good and no negative side affects, i'd say do it.
yea eyes dont require exposure to sound to fully develop.
They require exposure to light...
well if i ever have a kid, i play classical piano and will teach my kid the piano, from a very early age
That was a picture of an EKG tracing, not an EEG tracing... Just saying
Lissette you rock!!!
+Joe Andary Why, thank you!
This is first time Lissette comes to Dnews!
+Perla11 Ba Hi! Yeah, Trace joined me for my first one (on the methane gas leak) but you're right. This is my first one solo. Happy to be here
If I play In Utero when my baby is in Utero, will there be an in Utero inception?
+Robert Hutchings Woah
+Lissette Padilla You are an awesome presenter!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
Thanks Robert! I really appreciate the support
+Lissette Padilla So are you more of a Mozart fan or a Nirvana fan then, as this might give us an insight into what music gives people better looks ;)
The music I listen to, probably scares my parents. My parents have been together since 1973 resulting in a total of nine children. No, none are adopted, and all where single births. Mom just didn't use birth control. Now that I got that out of the way, I listen to metal most of the time. And since I started listening to it, I have noticed that I am less prone to being over emotional(this had been an issue singe adolescents and even my early adult years) when at work, and other public places. I get over emotional turmoil a lot quicker then I use to. DNees actually did a video on the effects of metal music some time back. Go check it out.
I'm a big baby, so you can play me some Mozart Lissette
Chaplin is my fav.
Does Playing Trap Music Make Your Baby Dumber?
maybe
+Jacob Ramos not maybe. definitely xD
Dead
I LOVE TRAP!!!
+CoalCake12
It makes him gay
My kids end up listening to metal with me in hell
Slipknot's version of wheels on the bus or Dr.Dre's version of ABC's
I'm going to let my baby listen to EDM. Daft punk to Mightyfools.
Man, she's pretty!
done and done. :)
My baby's gonna hear metal.
I like her
She's very attractive. She's a keeper D. News.
Her voice sounds higher pitch on this vid
+tyler valentine Hmmm you're right... maybe I was just a bit excited :)
Lissette Padilla omg you big fan :)
INCREIBLES ANYONE!??!?
I have found someone smart over the internet, and wanted to ask her out. But, 'More research is needed.' 😑
because this music is creative. GOLD ON TROLLS AND HATERS!! It's a proven fact.
+Jonah Samuels I think 4/4 with a "four-on-the-floor" kick pattern would be a great starting point for the mind of a developing child. Kudos to you, man!
Does playing music to your baby make him a drummer
Answer: Yes, but only if they listen to it when played on Bugs Bunny.
Thanks mom. I kinda guess.
No gangsta rap is the best for a baby.
Juliette shipping, all aboard!
+D4rkTooga Haha! I love Julia. And I love our new name! Gracias :)
+Lissette Padilla You read it! D: *blush*. Ye are now my fav. Gracias a ti chica linda!
Pregnant woman logic: If i make my baby listen to "Four Seasons: Spring" it will make them smarter.

classic rock?
to find out how babies are way smarter than you think : watch the movie baby genius's
When My wife gets a pregnent i'll play the fetus all of "In Utero" (Nirvana)
Hey? Why do Cats like Boxes.. DNews?
"Unlike your eyes, your ears require sound in order to fully develop." This is rather ambiguous. I assume you mean that you need stimulation in order for them to develop? The eyes need visual stimuli to develop... And a hell of a lot of it. Even in day to day life, if an eye is deprived of stimuli through a strabismus, an anterior visual pathway pathology, refractive error etc then the visual system won't develop.
No this started with a very badly done test and has been disproven several times
Heavy Metal!
"Mozart is better than Bieber" Hell No, that sad piece of work comes from a town based on Shakespeare and he ends up doing what he does.
helsinki mainittu
There is somehting unusual about her, i don't what what it is.
That she looks like Jennifer Lopez?
Helsinki mainittu torilla tavataan.
I can say I don't listen to Bieber alright
why aren't they talking about the possible 9th planet of our solar system?
I think this "Mozart Effect" stuff is way overblown. I once went for a job interview at a large chain daycare facility, I won't say which one. They were BLASTING classical music in the infant room while the babies were napping. It was ridiculously loud and annoying to me and I thought how could that possibly be good for them? It wasn't even a good recording either. It was that fake synthesized type music. Don't get me wrong - I like classical music, but this was over the top ridiculous.
As a classical music fan, let me tell you there is nothing neurologically special about it. It uses the same notes, rythmic structures, and key signatures as any music produced today. The only difference is the heavy use of string and wind instruments; which are sound I enjoy. Other than that, all western music is fundamentally the same.
1st half - Music doesn't affect the baby...2nd half - music improves their neurological activity???
+504russ Improving their neurological activity doesn't necessarily mean making them smarter.
+alejandrinos +alejandrinos True, but intelligence or learning something new begins with new synaptic connections. I think as a musician I just had a knee jerk reaction, haha.
It should be Bach instead of Mozart :D
lol
