Just build a similar shed. Based on the instructions they have you put up all the corners and then the bracing for the wall sections. When I build the next one I am going to put the bracing in as I build the corners.
Nice job, both of you 👍😀 Next I'd get some ridgid insulation on the walls leaving an air gap for air flow to ridge vent. Id like to see the first/second/third where you put on metal flashings, and laid down the metal base onto the wood frame you built. im a grandma going to start myself, then call in some help, when screwing in screws. what are the metal pegs for anything attach to them??
I wouldn't fill the gap between the two doors with foam like you mention. I'd probably just go with some metal flashing material or even just any thin galvanized sheet metal you can get in a strip. Attach it to one of the doors on the edge and have it just span the gap over to the next door.
If anyone is planning on putting up a shed check your local ordinances. A lot of locales won't allow structures close to property lines. My city for example has a 5' setback requirement from the property line and the side facing the road has a 30' setback. In about 2 years you are going to regret buying OSB instead of good plywood. That OSB is for house floor decking not outside weather and humidity facing use. That OSB will fall apart from humidity and almost ground facing water in 12-24 months.
My thoughts exactly. Should have purchased 3/4 pressure treated plywood. The only drawback with pressure treated lumber is it is treated with copper oxides. ITS garbage, the roof will rust very quick with the leaves on the roof, the edge trimming shud be removed so the leaves can blow off or wash off from the rain, at middle height on all 3 walls shud be a z perlon mounted horizontally to reinforce the structure in high winds, and 4 x 3ft deep concrete pillons with metal builders strapping connected to the reo bar and long enuf to go the full height on the inside walls. Nice to see the lovely Lauren again.... what a cutie :)
Do you think the roof will rust??? Ill take a look at that edging for stuff to easily slide off. We shouldnt get to much wind where its located....unless a tornado rolls through which could happen... Lauren is a lil cutie!!!💥🤘
@@AveRage_Joe OVER TIME THE LEAVES WILL THICKEN UP and compress but will stay very wet cos the trim is stopping from falling off.... I have seen this happen alot cos these cheap sheds are EVERYWHERE.... u can still install 4 anchoring piers on each corner, in cyclones here the 2 doors fly off first then the whole shed goes.
The plastic film is a nightmare to remove. It requires fingernails to dig into the edges of the film to remove can't do this with the gloves on.. So this invites all types of cuts to your fingers The film is thin and weaker than its adhesion to the painted panels. The plastic washers need inside flashing or tabs to help keep them on the screws. I note that there is no mention of the plastic film in the instructions probably because it is a known nightmare to the manufacturer.

im concerned about the first part building the floor
Waiting or you to put your powerwall in there and watch the walls come down from all that weight. 💣💣💣💥💥💥
Oh Gawd......Those walls would flatten in a heart beat lol
@@AveRage_Joe exactly
The off grid garage? 😅
The term is “scarf”.
You only have that building about 20% full
I have some of the "bigger" odd items in there. Have moar in there now.
@@AveRage_Joe I put so much stuff in mine you can't even walk in it
Is your helper your daughter .
Granddaughter
You are to Nice!!!
Did you check your local bylaws regarding building anything too close to a fence or property line?
Scab is the correct word
What does it mean FanFrieckingTastic?!?!?!?! You have forgotten step 0 - install solar panels regardless what the manual says! =)))
LOL I do have 2 smaller 12v panels Ill probly add OOOOOOO and a portable power station!!!😲😆💥
@@AveRage_Joe that sounds much better :)))
Nice video but to much talking!
Than
I swear I finished hiGh ScHoOl!💁♂️
The plastic film is a nightmare to remove. It requires fingernails to dig into the edges of the film to remove can't do this with the gloves on.. So this invites all types of cuts to your fingers The film is thin and weaker than its adhesion to the painted panels. The plastic washers need inside flashing or tabs to help keep them on the screws. I note that there is no mention of the plastic film in the instructions probably because it is a known nightmare to the manufacturer.
I left all the plastic coating on all the panels. Some remove it and others leave it.
I build my shed here in Mesa AZ. The sun/heat would degrade the film in a matter of days. The flakes of UV damaged plastic would make a persistent problem for me and my neighbors.@@AveRage_Joe
I have a similar , if not identical shed I purchased from Amazon, I do not like it because of the cheap screws, super thin metal , and how easy they strip and the packing in the box was horrible, parts bent and this is the white trash special so should have expected that , and I think its ultra junk , I wish I had a better experience, but Im sure there all built in the same place in China, I was disappointed considering I paid about 600 bucks and it had 5 star rating, but I guess if I got it for free Id feel better about it but thanks for the video , it was helpful but for me its a big thumbs down , I wouldn't buy it again, and Im sure it will not last
i cant stand these sheds
Too Much Crap :D
Who ever has too much crap . . . ?
😆😆😆🤷♂️Not Me!
It's funny mine arrived right before you made this video. Since mine is smaller (6x4) lean-to style, I'm assembling a 6 ft long 2x4 floor in it, and mounting it against my house out back....
