That last line was so freaking powerful to me. "For nothing is immortal, and one day they may have to survive without me" That line can be applied to the world right now if looked at correctly. The things we do sometimes are killing the Earth slowly and while we wage wars with one another and mistrusting others, the Earth will not last forever and at some point we may have to find a new place to call home because she can no longer protect us. I want this game just for that last line honestly. Stupid reason I know but I haven't had a trailer for a game send a more powerful message to me before.
It's a great game. Deep gameplay, beautiful artwork, well written lore. You won't regret buying it
Welp, I believe you read it differently than it originally planned.
In the lore: Auriga(The planet) is dying. Longer and more frequent winter, and eventually uninhabitable. hence why 'they have to survive without me'. The story is a race away from coming doom for the fractions.
Also, reference to their first game Endless Space.

I'm pretty sure that that was a Necrophage unit. The Forgotten weren't released yet, when this trailer came out.

Played for 3 hours now, and I must say just one thing: WOW! It's still alpha, but God damn I'm impressed. This game will be an instant classic when it's released for real. Congrats to the developers for the creation of a masterpiece.
I know! Yet keep a look out for several problems in the future, many said the same thing about another game that had pre conceived hype, the abysmal game that is Aliens Colonial Marines, but that could just be me being paranoid, this game will do above average at least, but again I don't know.
I've only recently heard this and the trailer alone just makes it sound amazing. I loved playing Endless Space since its release and I still continue to play it to this day.
Going to buy the game soon as I can because I believe the beta is supposed to come out today (3rd July).

This is one of those games you just know will be amazing. It just has that thing to it. Two days ago I was excited about Civilization Beyond Earth, but this will be so much better...

Please be aware that one series does not necessarily need to 'destroy' other series. Can't they coexist peacefully, complementing each other?
Have you seen IGN's preview video of the alpha on here? Did you read all the comments? Nothing but Civilization fanboys bashing on this game calling it a clone. I'm just getting ahead of the curve and this time LOL I never once mentioned Civ before I saw them bashing Endless Legend I love Amplitude Studios Endless Space is one of my all time fav games. Plus Civ games suck one of the only RTS games I just got bored of and never ended.
Michael Padilla Civ isn't an RTS it's turn based. Neither is Endless space.

I'm glad I have stayed out of Early Access to this point. I think I will continue avoiding it.

I'm curious, what exactly do you mean by that?
TheMeta88 The way I look at is it's a way for a developer to offload risk onto the consumer. So why bother with your own money or investors, when you can get other people to invest for you.
As that's all Early Access is, an investment in a game in that potentially may not be successful or release at all. Of coarse most probably will release in some way, but the developer no longer has any risk if the game fails.
I feel like that is what Kickstarter is for. Or stuff like that.
Early Access should be for actual testers.
Not an investment.

Comme mon voisin du dessus je n'attend qu'une chose pour acheter le jeu ! Qu'il soit dans ma langue natale, je sais qu'il faut attendre car c'est plus facile de travailler sur une version anglaise lors du développement mais c'est dur...
Le jeu va être excellent, le wargame est un genre de jeu qui a déjà de lourde base rajouté a ça le travaille de finition et d'innovation d'Amplitude Studios, un jeu qui promet de dérégler l'horloge biologique de nombreux amateurs de stratégie.
Pour le moment j'attend la prochaine M.A.J pour dungeon of the endless.

So this is about a living plant.
Actually it's a game like Civilization based in the same universe as Endless Space and Dungeon of the Endless, however it's Fantasy oriented then endless space and even more realistic (subtracting dust magic) then Civilization because to go to war you require actual influence. But that's my view on the game what about yours?

I mean if this trailer is a planet talking about her children, I am well aware this game, bought it since Alpha.
E419E419 I am pretty sure that it is not actually cannon ingame, as it is actually a sci fi game. It seems more likely that the "living" planet in the trailer is just a representation of ingame lore and myth, as the loading screens seem to suggest.

Jack Black And steam early access is preventing this? Imagine it this way. You have a friend that works there. He's cool so he says you can check out the game before it is released. How is this any different? You have the choice to just wait or play it in advance. Seems cool to me.
