    Very high respect for those army medical personal, the NHS ones provide great skills to their team, and I believe they are providing a great service to our troops and the local people in places where medical help is needed, they might not get overwhelmed the same as hospitals in the UK because some of the places haven't got big populations and are out in the middle of nowhere, but I'm sure they are keep on their toes with locals coming from far just to get the medical treatments they need

I agree with us doing all this stuff internationally, but even I don't want us to have to do this but I accept it's necessity for global stability and peace from tyranny.

    Hello, I am from Peru, yes, and I will not publish again on military channels, this should be put on the agenda of possible purchases for the Peruvian armed forces, the challenger 2 tank is the best candidate for the Peruvian Army and Peruvian armed forces, the price per unit is 5 or 7 million dollars its cost is around there, the English tank is cheap, good armor, has great technology and is considered one of the best tanks in the world hopefully Peru
    can buy these tanks and name one of the English Challenger 2 tanks William Guillermo Miller and Francisco Bolognesi for the Peruvian Army.
    Peru used British fighter-bombers in an armed conflict in combat Canberra and we also had Hawk Hunter fighter-bombers

I consider DELTA Green Team and British SAS as THE tied for the top Special operations Groups on Earth and since DELTA was modeled after the Brits SAS ,..well you know.

      Good jopb we have the SRR, and the SBS then, If you haven't heard of them that's because they are the very best in the world. Delta are effectively Royal marines who have done the shortened couse for anyone in the British forces, DEVGRU (seal team 6) are effectively Commachio company Royal marines, they have the same jobs to do. In order of the best it is SRR SAS, SBS. With the SBS being the best, and brightest.

    • @thetruthhurts7675
      @thetruthhurts7675 2 роки тому +4

      @Big Stu How so? Commachio company do exactly the same job a DEVGRU (seal team 6), as I said. The SBS because of what they do actually have a higher overall general IQ than the SAS, are better educated than any other special forces unit in the world. Then, the ONLY special forces unit to have transited direct from the second world war to today (without a break, or being formed after WW2) are the SBS. No special forces unit that you can join straight from civvy street is ever going to be as good as one that you as a person already in the British Forces have to fight with your superiors to get into just the pre selection tests, as in the SAS, SBS, and SRR. To do the All Arms Commando course for myself as a Lieutenant with then 6 years under my belt took two years of fighting my direct bosses, and their superiors, despite being told by someone higher up the food chain that I should go for the job. Plus the US fortces green beret comes from doing the all arms commando course (a much shortened 15 weeks of training) to become technically a commando, such as Delta. Thus NO US special forces unit matches any UK SF unit. Just to be a general dogs body Royal marine (not musician though) they have to go through the worlds longest hardest, and most physical basic training starting at the level expected of the US Marine corps final battle fitness test, which here in the UK is undertaken in week one of the basic 36 week course, and they have to pass that to carry on.

    • @thetruthhurts7675
      @thetruthhurts7675 2 роки тому +1

      @Big Stu CorrectCommachio Company has been expanded, and is now called 43 Fleet Protection Group Royal marines. Nice try no cigar though. Seal team 6 has exactly the same reasons to exist, they both do exactly the same jobs.
      Delta are just a normal Royal marines unit to be brutal here.
      Total operatot training for a delta operator is just 6 months, LOL. You expect that to match total training time for the SRR, SAS, or SBS? Not the slightest chance at all. Just to do the all arms commando course, and Royal Marine secondary training took 9 months. Specialisation training can also take up to 6 months in the Royal Marines, plus they still have a course that to die ensures failure in the Royal marines, even surviving doesn't guarantee passing.
      I didn't say less than 43 FPGRM as they are now called, are better, I do claim they are the same because their roles are the same. Commachio company was/and is for 43FPGRM by selction within the RM, as are most positions like it, mountain leaders, cold weather survival teachers, etc.
      The edited bit. Just as an aside it was a group when was in the Royal Navy, and then expanded to a company because of their expanding roles. The Paras are SFG as you call them in the US, SF, and SFG are not really Britsh terms. in fact the MOST elite unit in the British army is the Grenadier guards.

      So long as they stay in their boxes.
      What grates, is when a fat 45 year old TA lance-jack starts gobbing off at full-time professional soldiers.
      We had a load of them with us on Telic.
      One was test-jig designer for CAT, and he knew everything there was to know about engines and pumps. He utterly revolutionised our UBREs, and commanded respect from people WAY above his rank because he offered expert knowledge to those who were struggling, and listened in to good advice when he lacked experience in other areas.
      Another was a fat, ginger woman with a GUNT that would make a submariner boke. She didn't appear to have any special skill, other than whinging about noise, heat and the chairs. The amount of running around we all had to do to accomodate her was outrageous. Between the gopping state of her kit and the muzzle waving she did on the few occassions she failed to shinf out of a patrol, she did more to reduce confidence than anyone ever has. Meanwhile, she would dick professionals with menial tasks such as emtying HER bin (the one in the office she was provided - the air conditioned office with ergonomic chair).
      There was a sizable sweepstake on whether she'd step on a mine or have a heart attack by the end of the tour.
      Horses for courses.

You can have the sharpest knife possible but if the hand directing it doesn't know what to do with it you will get nowhere quickly. Just look at missions like UNTSO, UNMOGIP, or MONUC/MONUSCO, which have been operational for up to almost 75 years in the case of UNTSO, and achieved more or less nothing in all those years.

    No-one on this documentary has explained what the mission is, that they are there to do, let alone anything about the enemy forces or threat they are facing. The Warrant Officer at the beginning of the film gave a particularly bland, cliché-tastic speech which said precisely nothing at all. Whatever you say these days, don't commit yourself! 🤓
    How about: "We are here to kill or capture terrorists, in order to pacify our Area of Operations." That's not so hard to say, is it? 🤔
    I bet all the people in the UK waiting for medical operations will be pleased that all the British NHS doctors and nurses are in Mali instead of their local hospital. That's a result of cutbacks in the UK Armed Forces: there's not enough regular military medical personnel anymore, so the NHS has to make up the shortfall from their staff. 🙄

    • @garethmcindoe751
      @garethmcindoe751 2 роки тому +9

      Relax dude, you’re gripping too tight 👍 Look for the positives in life. You’re watching brave young men conducting operations at behest of politicians who represent UK citizens. The troops serve their country’s people and defend democracy. As for the RSM, I suspect he’s seen more operational deployments than you’ve had girlfriends. Peace ❤️

    • @jamesbussey2911
      @jamesbussey2911 2 роки тому +6

      @@garethmcindoe751 Your reply to my comment is also made up of a series of clichéd statements. Are any of us real humans that can have original thoughts anymore? 🤔
      Second thoughts about the RSM: he's probably angling for an extension of service to make it to 55, so has his Branch Commission in mind, in order to become a Commissioned Officer. Hence not saying anything remotely interesting. That's a fair one, though: the priority of anyone who chooses a career in the military is to survive it in one piece in order to get the pension. A lot of the good work one does is thrown away by the politicians when it suits them, so you might as well look after Number One in life. 😜
      And I'll stand by my dig about the UK's medical services: they might be 'superheroes,' but being in two places at once, in this case Mali and a UK hospital, isn't one of their superpowers. 🤪

    • @robertkenny7490

      Is their a source that NHS medical staff are in Mali?

    • @jamesbussey2911
      @jamesbussey2911 2 роки тому +2

      @@robertkenny7490 My dig at the UK's civil and military medical services was based on the fact that some NHS doctors and nurses are also military reserve personnel, so volunteer for military operations. This gives them experience they won't get at home, they serve their country overseas, picks up the white man's burden, helps the poor benighted heathen races of the third world etc etc. Great stuff! 🇬🇧👍
      Except when the military becomes reliant upon volunteers filling what were once full-time positions in the order of battle. This state of affairs also leaves the NHS short of staff: even Marvel or DC Comics haven't created a superhero character who can be in two places at the same time, tho' I remember 2000AD did a spoof superhero story where one of the characters had that power. She ended up being overworked and demanded a double paycheck after being asked by the boss superhero to divide again into four versions of herself. 😂
