I got 2 at &189.00 ea. Once I bought the first one I knew I had to grab a second one before the price started to rise. Yes The parts are interchangeable with the Beretta M9 / 92FS. The Melik is a 1 for 1 clone, I would almost say it's reverse engineered and done very well at that. Because of personal preference and also my military experience I replaced the the firing pin, firing pin plunger, firing pin spring, recoil spring, main / hammer spring, safety lever and grips with surplus NOS USGI Beretta M9 parts. All fit in function one hundred percent. I'm really loving these pistols. Great review by the way, thank you for sending me the link.

It's supposably from Turkey so that makes sense A lot of the middle eastern gun smiths Start with a sample of a genuine Model Then they reverse engineer To make their clones Some like this one are really good .

@@BigTuckUSA yea now they are averaging $330+. That's before taxes and shipping and transfer. I think in my hands out the door from my FFL was no more than $323.00. that's why I bought two of them each a week apart. The first one I actually paid $5 more for, but but buds gave me a $5 coupon so I applied that to the second one.

Gram, The parts are interchangeable with the Beretta 92FS / M9. I did a millspc upgrade on mine. Replaced the springs, firing pin firing pin plunger, safety switch and extractor. With the extractor swap, I eliminated that big roll pin and I got the dual roll pins holding it on now the way it should be. All NOS USGI Beretra $70.00 total invested.

I bought an all black version of the gun. I took it apart and polished a few pivot points, put a 13# mainspring in from Wolff Gunsprings, and oiled it lightly.
I am getting a 2.75 pound SA pull, and 7.5 pound DA. The SA has absolutely no creep, I mean none at all. I am very pleased for under 3 bills shipped.

    • @OhioCruffler

More details as I did more to the pistol. I have copy/pasted my comment from another video.
I have one of these that I have upgraded as well. I used the Langdon Elite grips on mine. Most of the rest went smoothly; I did identify two problematic areas people need to know about.
The Wilson trigger return spring assembly will NOT work. The space in the frame is too long for the system to work. A really niche (hah!) product most people might not even consider.
The LTT Optimized trigger bar was a bit of an issue. The Derya trigger bar is a little thinner than a stock Beretta or the Langdon part; and the slot in the slide for the disconnector function is also thinner than on a Beretta slide. This resulted in a double click (or false) reset condition where it didn't slide into the slot cleanly. It lengthened the reset by a little, and gave a slight possibility of a false reset where the gun would not fire unless you let it out a little more.
I only noticed this during dryfire, as I do not ride the reset but use the "reset under recoil" method when actually shooting.
The fix was to bevel the edges of the trigger bar at the hump and of the slot in the frame; just breaking the edges and polishing it removed the problem and now everything works as it should. I didn't have to remove much metal, jst enough to encourage the bar to seat in the frame easier.
I am really impressed with the pistol; the only other thing I would change would be the front sight. I wish they made this with a proper size dovetailed sight rather than the fixed, unchangeable sight. My older eyes like a fiber optic front sight.

There's a glow in the dark paint like nail polish that glows when light is on it. You apply a clear coat nail polish on it to seal it in. Tritium dies after a decade, anyways. I used it on my revolver. My CZ-75B SA uses night sights that charges with a few seconds of light on them. The paint doesn't take long. You clean the sight. Apply the paint with a toothpick. Apply the clear coat with another toothpick.

Of course, I was my ship's armorer, so mine weren't as horribly mistreated as most folks' first encounters with them 😹 but I can trust my 92 with my life; I shoot it the best, because...well, I've shot it the most; really any gun that's reliable and decent quality that you can shoot the most is the best one :)

8:53 B.A. in Linguistics here! If the suffix, on it's own, can exist as another word without anything in front of it, then it functions outside of the rules of being a suffix and is no longer a suffix in that context. For example, -ful, as in "plentiful", or "bountiful", is a homophone to "full", which means something entirely different. Hood is another example, like "brotherhood, sisterhood, or fatherhood", but on it's own, it could be a garment, covering, or slang for a place.

These are priced so low, that even considering that new manufacturers have to introduce new guns at initially lower price points to be competitive, I still wonder how they are able to sell these out at the prices we are seeing.
The roll pin walking out on the lever concerns me, and the issue has been noted by a few other people, either on UA-cam or on forums on the internet (think I saw a thread on Reddit). Not unheard of, even with some factory Beretta guns to have the safety/decock lever roll pin start to walk out, but still kind of unusual.
If these guns hold up over time, this is an incredible value. Girsan Regards are basically $500 or just shy of $500 guns, and Beretta 92FS pistols go for well over 600 bucks these dark days.

The melik looks great, as good as the one it copied, but warranty is a major issue. Purchased one of these and before ever firing the first round, found that the magazine would not eject. Worked with it for an hour having to pull on the bottom of the magazine to get it to eject, but never got any better. Contacted manufacturer, been a week and still no response. Can't take it apart and make any modifications without voiding the warranty. Although it is a good looking gun, the old saying "You Get What You Pay For" holds true for Rock Island Armory. Spend the extra money and get a Beretta.

Between those three the WMP offers the gentlest recoil if that's a concern, but 22 Magnum ammunition will also cost more and can be harder to find than basic 9mm. The 92 platform is purpose designed. These are designed for carry. The perhaps overly complicated safety design over a striker fired design is problematic to some.
As many are discovering it is not difficult for a 6’ tall male to carry and conceal one of these or other full size pistol. This is cumbersome for smaller people. This is why one size does not fit all.

This pistol seems to be a pretty good value but the requirement of 1st shot double action is going to be fine for some and a problem for others. It helps to bear in mind that DA/SA guns were designed at the onset to be DA on the 1st shot. That fat graceful curve of the Beretta grip fits well enough for a lot of people.

Decent price, but every time that I trained a police officer back in the day when they were transitioning into semi-autos and they brought a beretta. I had instructed them to take it back where they bought it and get a firearm that did not have a hammer drop mechanism on it. That will get you killed especially if you do a clearance drill in the middle of a gunfight and you accidentally hit that hammer drop. Just two days ago I watched the video where a police officer was in a shooting situation and he realized as he was holding the Fire Mountain in front of him that he had the hammer drop engaged. I could not believe that people still think that that is the safety. It is not a safety. It is a hammer drop mechanism as described by the guy who invented it, Carl Walther in 1929 it is meant to drop the hammer safely and then disengage so that the firearm will function. The problem is is it's right where you put your hand on top of the firearm to do a clearance drill.
