  • With Women's Day coming up, time to introspect on how we actually treat our women.
We are a woke generation...We, as a society are headed towards a revolution, both culturally and mentally. But are we really becoming more enlightened or is it just superficial ready to crack under the slightest pressure. What happens when one family is put under such a pressure. Will they come out stronger or will they silently crumble under the strain.

Nicely written spine chilling plot with great execution. The poem 'Chupchaap' haunts you in the climax. The scream the mother let's out when she comes to know her daughter is safe numbed my senses. The stoic way in which she drags her feet presumably to the police station at the end despite her husband's opposition to the idea made me cry. The husband sitting in the road covering his wife's shame by adjusting her clothes & assuring her of his love made me feel sorry for him too in that brief moment. Our children need to be sensitised that parents go through hell sometimes to ensure their well being & that parents advise shouldn't be taken for granted. The mother paid a heavy price due to her daughter's carelessness.

The girls boyfriend must have told her not to message he mom, probably wanted her to stay longer for the party. If her phone battery was dead she could easily borrowed a charger and and message her parents that she would be little late. Her husband was not supportive. these kinds of films deserve an oscar! this was amazing I am so touched. people seriously need to get the fear of social media, and media, and their respect, their image being ruined in the society out of their mind. any person, man or woman MUST get their right to justice. this stupid concept of their family image being ruined in the society or their relatives needs to go. its high time that people should realise how seriously these kinds of acts impact an individual's life forever.
this is a fantastic film. the actoress is super talented. I loved her expressions in the end. I could literally feel what must have been her condition at that time. this short film id worth watching!

    • @mina0rahman

Yeah. But society is made of individuals. So an individual thought can change the society if people are wise enough to follow it. Who needs to follow a wise individual's footsteps? The dominant individuals of families need to encourage their families to do so. Who are dominant individuals? Men. But many men esp in rural parts take their freedom for granted. If they start standing up for women, they think it will crumble their patriarchy. So they deem it better to outcast wise people. Society is made of individuals. But it is also made of complex social interactions, social politics, and unsaid alliances, and dirty secrets.... Circles within circles, and years of efforts to build these networks. Hence no one is ready to stand up for another person. Not on the cost of their own selves. Not even the wise ones.
And this is why no one wants to take the first step.

More than any award this cinema needs more recognition in public and society to bring real change. So, this type of films need not to be made anymore.

Before you (womans) go somewhere should be informed to husband/brother/dad....so that they will understand and they'll directly come to the location...and yes there is fault with the girl, she didn't informed to her parents wr shz gng, thats definitely her fault. And we r always care for you guys (womans)..here every lady should have courage to come front and fight for justice...and here i don't like it when her husband trying to convince her wife to don't go for police station... This is not the correct..its like hiding their justice... And her husband telling her wife to leave home immediately and search for her arre how can he says like that...leaving her home in the night (really its her husband and her daughter fault).
