- Set in a quaint town in Maharashtra - Palghar. We follow Jeet, a young documentary filmmaker as he spends the day with Mrs. Deshpande & Tulika, her young niece. Mrs. Deshpande is a widowed science professor grieving the death of her young son. The unlikely trio strike a friendship as they express some of their deepest fears. A few unexpected and uncomfortable conversations take place that changes their outlook towards life forever.
Mrs. Deshpande, played by award winning veteran actor Supriya Pilgaonkar of Tu Tu Main Main (1994-2000) fame and Shivani Raghuvanshi of Made in Heaven (2019) and Titli (2014). The film also stars actor-director Adeeb Rais and Delhi based theatre actor Sankalp Joshi.

Being a mother of two boys.... I feel, now its time to give more sanskaar to boys than to girls... I truly believe that now, we, parents of boys hv more responsibility than the parents of girls to bring up them.. Teach them ethics., teach them to respect each and everyone as a human being first... Now then tension of being parents of girls hv transfered to parents of boys! 😊 I teach my boys all, that my parents taught me... I hope all of you there do the same! We together can make a change.. Start with your own house! 😊
Even I have a son and I have, since he was small, always encouraged him to talk.....to communicate. I never put pressure about what he should be. Giving sanskaar by reading out bedtime stories, giving him counseling even when he was as young as 7 years, went a long way in making him the adult he now is. But I disagree that girls don't need this kind of upbringing. When I see the girls of today, I feel that their parents are just assuming that girls can do no wrong. It makes me sad that the cultural shift has made these girls into robots.

when i was in 1st year engineering,my senior did a ragging with me i was totally broken and totally afraid he didn't hurt me physically but a group of people came together and gave me warning because i was not following there order and my lectures supporter them as well after that incident for 1 year i was afraid in college later when i became senior i never did ragging to my junior and when my friends were doing ragging to juniors i stopped them and i helped juniors always, so please support and help juniors tomorrow people will help your kids and young siblings or they will help you when you start working, somewhere in the world again you will be junior in some field what you do with others you get it back !!!

My son is 17. Some nights we spend hours talking. Some nights I get an hr of sleep because we get so deeply engaged in our conversation. When my motherly instincts senses distortion, I sneak into his ph and invade into his text messages and social media post. That is today's generations diary. You can have your opinions about this invasion of privacy but when I did it the first time, I realized there was a whole different person behind the bubbly, full of life, enthusiastic and intelligent kid. Another human being who acts like everything is just fine but is lost and is seeking for answers towards little things and trying hard to fit in while swaying away into the wanna be's. I cried that night thinking where did I go wrong and how did I not see through him. Nothing out of ordinary just his emotions. From that day, I drop everything to listen to him when he needs to talk. I feel so privileged that he confides in me and feels free to openly discuss anything going through his young mind.

What I believe is - more and more open communications needed between parents and children in the house itself, apart from study. The kids should not have fear to share something with parents, and it is parents' responsibility to create such environment.

Thank you for casting Supriya Tai in this role... Her voice, expressions, those natural pauses in between the heavily meaningful lines is so "motherly" that within first few seconds of her entry she convinced us to be a true mother.
Bullying/ragging is such a brutal thing that it cant be explained, a mental break down is a serious issue among youngsters & in India its least considered as an issue of Life & Death... Feeling sorry for your mistakes is useless, stands no importance when somebody committed suicide already.
STOP BULLYING SOMEONE INNOCENT JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A SENIOR.. somebody would fight back, somebody would cry alone & rearrange the things & somebody would end his life.. & this isn't fun anymore.

In today's generation not even neighbors or people around you make any kind of effort to talk. They just give a fake smile or most often ignore each other.
Just 10 years ago when there was no WhatsApp or Instagram....I used to spend time with my grandmother and her friends listening to their conversation and also could sense how people are connected to each other and share their worries (even personal stuff without feeling ashamed). Inshort people where actually connected and now they are virtually which is of no use.!!!!...Now in this generation everyone is just concerned about their career, status,ego, attitude and so called virtual identity and their "personal stuff".
Everyone has problems..share it with your loved ones...may be you won't a solution bt you will definitely feel lighter and relaxed.!!!

My nephew suicided when he was in his first year of college. He was a bright student, still we don't know what went in his mind, when he did that. Something he did, and it will remain a question for our whole life.
I hope we as a society are more into listening to others, understanding what each of us wants to cope up in their life. Atleast it will save a lot of life, I hope we have more avenues to stop teenage suicides. It now now, then never. Let's wake up.

These type of films are the need of the hour. This should be shown as much as possible to parents, school authorities & children under supervision of teachers, thereafter discussions should be held in schools about these issues
We parents don't teach to face failure humiliation insult to our kids. Only one side of the coin is shown. When problems come they find only one option. Very well done

This is no coincidence that I clicked to watch it. Years ago a coworker's young son committed suicide. Even till today, I can hear the parents crying, not knowing why he did that. I can still hear the father telling me "my son is gone." Last year a family friend's young son who had just finished Masters committed suicide. Even though I don't have suicide cases in my family, I know a few people whose dear ones have done so. Only a few hours ago I had made my 2020 commitment to finding a way to reach out to those who are in need. Thanks for this short film.

Losing a son at a young age rips your heart out. I have seen it happen. My cousin brother passed away in an accident 10 years ago, but it was my mom who was affected the most. She had brought him up. And even now, on his birthday, raksha bandhan and his death anniversary, she gets so emotional it rips me apart.
Supriya ji is correct in saying that no mother deserves it. This is something that actually makes a person dead from inside. Seeing my mother I really do not know how she carries on with her life normally.; it makes me respect her a lot more.
I hope people who are reading this just understand that it's not your life and that you can take it when you feel like it's the end. It has become the life of the people close to you and once you're gone, you're gone. But you take the souls of your loved ones with you.

Just as nishant said he took out his frustration by bullying others. &he used to enjoy. Some where even he was not attended by his parents. A parent should have a constant talk &known each &every thing about their child. Ur sorry can't bring someone's life back.nobody knows what a parent goes through. &yes there should be teach in schools. For ragging By showing videos. &conselling. Ur not cool by ragging others. Or by making fun of others .putting some one down doesn't make u a hero.
Parents should worry about their mental health as they worry about whether they ate or not.... That was amazing...

Touched to notice that Milind was her only son and after his demise she left her Mumbai home where she had spent the intricate moments of her Motherhood and started living in a 70 year old maternal home. Also seems her husband could not take loss of his son and gave away his life. Both mother's and father's love is too deep, pure and selfless that as a child we might not comprehend fully till the time we become parent.

I talk to them ASAP I feel that they need help....and seriously it was good that I could help them to cop up with the situation,....gradually they all went to different places even out of country but still they are in touch., they respect me... Jishnu, I completely agree with your suggestions but my opinion is No. 1 unless and until mind set of people don't change, atrocities, crimes, inhumanity will keep happening in India No. 2 Government should enforce strict and harsh laws including severe penalties in legislation so criminals will think million times before commiting crimes and last but not the least No 3 Education rules must b tightned to increase education ratio ! If these three things are addressed properly then there r bright chances of becoming India " crime free " nation, Jishnu, your feedback will be most welcomed.
Jishnu Chatterjee punishment for the crime is necessary for the victim and the victims families and friends. It gives them justice and the sense that they have been heard and also shows them that they are worthy and someone cares. A lot of prisons around the world offer compulsory counseling for the prisoners. Some people are born evil, some it is learned and some it is a form of them crying for help themselves. Some of these CAN be fully rehabilitated through therapy and sadly some are too evil. Some people’s crimes should never be set free from prison or even forgiven

I had to change my daughters college because she was bullied she is a very bright student but is very soft hearted she came to my room one night she was like a stone expressionless First I was scared then I convinced her she can talk to us me n my husband about any thing what ever happened big or small wrong or right we are with her in any circumstance and nothing to worry absolutely not to worry about what the world says then she showed her chats with her friends on whatts app and instagram we tried talking to those people who she called her friends believe me they were very insensitive and arrogant with us also.She was scared to go to the college so we decided better to change the college .Its very true every one needs a good listener.It helps a lot .If that night my daughter wouldn’t have come in my room I can’t imagine what could have happened God gave her sense to come to us . If there is any such helpline I would surely join it as a listner.
We are really glad that your daughter talked to you about it and you could help her out. communicating with the right people and sharing our problems can actually solve a lot of issues.

When I talked with my younger brother who is pursuing his B.Com, I came to know that specially in government colleges including govt. hostels the ragging has not stopped completely. My brother told me in his state govt. based hstl, seniors are coming to junior's room and doing smoking n drinking .As well as they r threating the juniors don't dare to lodge any complaint against them. In this situation even if a ragged student complained against a senior, it became danger to his own life. So i hav some opinion to tackle with this :
1. Groom ur children (boy/girl) not to harass mentality or physically to any junior.
2. Also groom ,if ur children face such kind of ragging how should he/she should respond to it.
3.And if u r a senior then try not to continue such ragging parampara any more.
4. Authorities should act strictly against the ragging complaints.
If the victim will not get justice then it will consider as incapability of law.
