I used the same clear coat to decoupage with but my paper, I also used roycycle, but it wouldn’t stay down. What did I do wrong?

Hi thanks for watching. It’s hard to say for sure why it didn’t stay down. Maybe it was drying too quickly to ensure good adhesion? Maybe try doing a clear coat first over your paint and letting it dry and then using the same clear coat again with your decoupage? That may help it stop soaking into your painted surface too quickly. Let me know if that helps 😊
