- How to Make a Miniature Garden Table and Birdbath - 1:12 Scale
Okay, so I admit it:
I am possessed by the vision of creating a miniature scene based on The Secret Garden. This classic story of friendship and healing stole my heart when I first read it as a child, and it still inspires me today.
To add to the accessories already created for this series, we'll be building a miniature bird bath and garden table...using many of the same techniques that have been demonstrated in previous videos in this series.

I hit the like button first too! It's because I know by the thumbnail that I will love whatever Heather is going to make! I don't think I fell in love with any other channel quite as fast as this one and I don't even have a Cricut!
Unbelievably kind. Wow. 💗
You are a goddess walking within us, I wonder 🤔. Everything you do is magic ♥️
Oh Heather, you have transported me once again to this magical, mystical sanctuary for the soul. A place where you can sit in solitude without feeling alone for you are surrounded by beauty and you feel the quiet fill your very being. Refreshing you and washing the clatter that lies outside these walls away... sweet cooling mist.... you've taken a book to read but it lies forgotten on the bench.....xoxoxo
Oh, I love sharing this delicious dream with you, Shirley! Your words flow like soft waters, helping to flush away the worries and chaos that so often fill my heart. Bless you, my dear friend. 🌹💗🌹
That looks like a really good device to use for circles, especially to make them perfect and clean.
I think so too!
Oh My!! I cant wait to get into my studio.
Yay! So good to hear this, my friend. xoxo
You never cease to amaze me!
Well, that's a very generous thing for you to say, @Meghan Thimjon - thank you! xoxo
So beautiful!
Learning alot here ty
Again, you've hit it outta the park! Great job Heather!!!
Awww - that is SO kind of you, Barb: Thank you! Have an awesome day, girl! xoxo
21:55 Yes, I believe everything happens for a reason. Even in crafting. 😁

It's having friends like YOU, girl, that makes this so damn joyful! To know that you work so hard, and find a few moments of relaxation here is pure gold, Christina. Take extra special care of yourself, my lovely. xoxo
I've had a few videos of yours to catch up on, but that did give me a longer time of goodies in one go :-) The garden set is turning out fantastically! Can't wait to see all pieces together in a final diorama!
Candlesticks are a great staple in your studio! I always pick them up in thrift stores and use them for stands for all sorts of craft projects. They usually cost you almost nothing, and come in so many ornamented varieties.
This was a great example on how to use them!
Yay! Another candlestick hoarder! I grab 'em at the thrift all the time - and yes, they are phenomenal bases for all kinds of work - I'm always looking out for them. xoxo
Magical!!!!
Hi Debbie! I'm so happy you think so, girl: thank you! xoxo

MENUDO FONDO DE ARMARIO ARTISTICO K TIENES! BRAVO !! GRACIAS X COMPARTIR!
Muchas gracias por tus amables palabras, mi amiga! xoxo
I have been watching all day and I'm in awe of your creativity! I'm addicted already and can't stop watching. You are by far my favorite youtube channel, I'm so glad I found you! I have so many idea's in my head now and have to say I've spent a pretty penny at Amazon today too LOL. Can't afford that machine though but I can ask hubby, after all Christmas is just around the corner 😁. I hope, I hope, I hope. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and talent.
Hey, Vicky! Girl, you just made me super happy. Thank you for taking the time to leave such an encouraging comment. Fingers crossed for Christmas! You NEED a Maker. Oh, my goodness - you do indeed. It will expand your creative horizons like nobodies business! Thank YOU for sharing your kind thoughts with me, my friend. xoxo
Miss Heather, y'all are fabulous! That was AMAZING!!!! Thanx and Hugs my friend.
It's Laurie! Hello, darlin'! I'm so happy you like it - thank YOU, my friend. Hugs! xoxo
Stunning work Heather. Love the presentation. The final shots look amazing and really show your attention to detail. Looking forward to the next vid in the series.🙂 I too like how the moss turned out around the outer rim of the water. Never tried UV Resin. May give that a go. I can see the fast cure times being very practical in certain situations.🤔
Hey Neil! Oh, UV Resin is SO wonderful for small stuff - yeah, it has it's issues (what doesn't?😉), but I really appreciate the instant gratification...curing times just test my patience to the MAX! 😂 I personally can't wait for the next @Real Terrain Hobbies installment - are you sure you can't upload EVERY DAY? 😜
Your ability to create realism and evoke the feeling to go with the pieces you create is fantastic! Your use of inexpensive items to create such beauty is also fantastic and much appreciated by those of us who are "Heather Junkies" ...LOL Thank you Heather for another beautiful, informative and inspirational piece xoxo
Dearest Robbin: I hope you know how much you mean to me, and how much your encouragement helps to keep me plugging away, girl! Let's keep creating, no matter what....
You are a huge part of why I love what I do, and my gratitude is oceanic. 🌹💗🌹
@@Thicketworks And you my beautiful friend are what keeps me always striving, always trying to think outside the box and provide me with endless inspirations!!! I think creativity is actually in our DNA ;) Love ya girl xoxo
Absolutely breath taking.. love it!!
Very creative!!
Much ❤️❤️ from 🇨🇦
Yay! So glad you like it, my friend...thank you! xoxo
Amazing as always! Thank you for the links to the circle cutters. Cutting circles has been a huge problem for me, and I think these will be just the things. Hopefully we will get to see more in this series!
Circles are SO challenging to cut, @Heather Taylor-Willockx - (at least for me!) I knew there was no way I'd be able to pull off the precision necessary without the help of some kind of tool. And, although it's a bit clunky, I am very pleased with the results that the FoamWerks Circle Cutter produces. This is one of those tools that I'll be using for many, many projects from now on! xoxo
Siempre me sorprendes!!!!! Tus trabajos son simplemente geniales. Felicitaciones
¡Oh, gracias Monica! Estoy muy agradecido de que te guste, amiga mío. xoxo
Its Thursday so Im up early to see your beautiful work, love it xoxo
Awww - now, THAT'S the sweetest thing! Thank you, Cindy! 🌹💗🌹
I’m interested in how you display these wonderful works of your in your home.
Hi Neta - I've decided to dedicate a Billy Bookcase from Ikea to housing and displaying a whole series of miniatures and dioramas - I'll be goint into more detail about how this will work in upcoming videos, my friend! xoxo
Heather Tracy can’t wait
Ma è BELLISSIMO cara come sempre baci. 👍👍😍
Grazie mille amica mio! Apprezzo la tua gentilezza. xoxo

❤️❤️ so gorgeous!! I can't wait to see the next part of the set xx
Hi my name is Lia and I'm a Certified Heather junkie 😍😂😂
Hee hee! You tickle me pink, girl! I just know you are going to LOVE the next components - I can't wait to show you! xoxo
Perfect as always! This series is soothing my soul. I'm hoping to replicate this later on in the year. Thank you, #QueenOfCrafts X💖X💖X
Ha! Perfect? Well, maybe not, darling...but good ENOUGH, and that's all that matters. You never cease to delight and amuse me with your adorable messages: THANK YOU for making me smile, @Opheliacinthelake ! xoxo
I've got to grab some foam core board. I almost picked some up at Wally the other day, but it didn't have the peel-off top layer that yours does...the outer layers were affixed to core. I'm assuming the Dollar Store's is a diff kind??? Thanks so much for sharing your ingenuity 😘
Hey Kitty! After experimenting with a bunch of different brands, I'm hooked on ReadiBoard which I get at The Dollar Tree - the protective paper peels off so easily! Thank YOU for watching, my friend.xoxo
Hello Heather! I just found your channel last night. Love your miniature ideas! Stayed up late watching them. I use a lot of silicone molds yet for the life of me, don't have and can't find the narrow border mold you used on these projects. Would you please share that info? My narrow borders do not lend themselves to shaping in the round nor do the Prima borders.
Hello, @laughing stamper! Thank you for being so kind, girl. Minis are so fun. Here's my affiliate link to the mold you requested: Miniature Border Mold
go.magik.ly/ml/klpn/
@@Thicketworks Thanks, many of my molds came from this site. Now the waiting begins😉. I will be giving your foam core, chipboard, air clay technique a go!
I can't wait for my molds to arrive, in the mean time I'm working on all the bases. this is so much fun. Now I'm sad I can't find wood candlesticks like that, so I'm looking at cake pillars
Yay! I'm so excited that you are working on this fun garden set, MissGroves! Bummer that you can't find the mini candlesticks, but I love the fact that you are looking at cake pillars as alternative supports: that's COOL! xoxo
What about wooden chess pieces? 🤷🏻♀️
@@sheilaforest5419 That is BRILLIANT!
@@sheilaforest5419 excellent idea
@@sheilaforest5419 I managed to find some cheap wooden ones on eBay for under £2
Just awesome! Would you say this is all 1:12, if so, i may need to revamp it with smaller measurements. Thanks, Miss Heather, for all the beauty.
Well, darlin' - it is 1:12 to the best of my abilities, but I encourage you to change the scale in any way that suits your project, girl! xoxo
@@Thicketworks I hope I can, math and me hate each other, lol.
@@anastasiasholeinthehollerc8697 Oh, I feel ya, girl. You can reduce all the printables by a certain percentage to make it easier - this can be done in Adobe Acrobat Reader (for free!) xoxo
I'm me to your channel, the mini bird bath caught my eye. Your voice reminds of a female dj who would come on after midnight.
Wow this bird bath is looking great 🤗👍
Instead of using resin could you have used glossy accents?
Hi Sandra! Welcome! I'm so glad you like the birdbath...and YES you totally could use Glossy Accents or Triple Thick Gloss Glaze to achieve the look of the water - but, the surface won't be quite as smooth, and the cure time will be considerable - as long as you're okay with those aspects, go for it, my friend! xoxo
Heather Tracy thx, and thank you for taking the time to respond, I feel that's important as least I do. It came out beautiful, how mini could you get? I have a YT friend who love tiny stuff her name is iddy biddy crafts. I'll be looking forward to more videos and definitely will have to watch your other videos. 🤗
@@sandratheprocraftinator945 - Oh, I ADORE Angie! No WAY can I go THAT mini! She's the best....
may I ask what material you used to for the trim? Is it also air dry clay?
Hi Tristan! Yep. all air dry clay. So versatile and easy to work with...I love that stuff. xoxo
@@Thicketworks Thank you so much, Love all your projects, and you're so generous to share them with us.
Using cilantro in the studio must make you hungry
Ha! Somebody once asked if I was tempted to much on the scenery. Not so much.
Heather Tracy Vegan or gluten free chip board ? Hmmm
