Cat says, "Nice work, mom!" I'll be looking at glass at the Goodwill in a whole new way! The birdbaths are gorgeous! And how cool to fill some parts with marbles. This is my first time watching you work. I'm subscribing!
Beautiful birdbath. The most challenging part of your construction, in my opinion, is drilling holes through the glass plate. I so wish you had filmed that part! Otherwise a great video. Oh, your background scenery is so beautiful that I found myself looking more at that pond than at your project! Thanks for your effort.
Thank you! Yes I will have to video the drilling of the holes. Some glass is harder to drill through than others! Plates are easy, it's the lead glass or decorative glass that takes time..
This turned out so beautiful. I just finished my first one using clear glass, milk glass and the green glass. I will definitely make another one it was fun. Will you share a video of others you’ve made?
This is so pretty. At first I thought, what is the wind blows it over. Then I realized as I was watching you put all those pieces together that or must be a little heavy. I can wait to make one. Thank you for sharing ❤
I’m thinking that in the Southwest, terracotta and Mexican pottery might work in our 110+ degree summers and architecture. Thank you for giving me inspiration.
I've watched a lot of DIY birdbaths on UA-cam and yours is definitely the most creative and beautiful. So clever the way you put those glass pieces together. I'm off to go thrift store shopping!
@@MyLittleSliceofParadise Well, finished the first and made two more! I also had the idea of instead of a birdbath, to make decorative totems for my garden. I made several of these as well. Only problem I had in the beginning was the E6000 taking a long time to harden and I did loose some vases and decorative spheres because it toppled over, but the solution I found was to use a little hot glue to hold everything in place until the E6000 dries.
Got my coffee and waiting on the kids to get ready for school and this is where I binge-watch these videos. So many great ideas! (Edit: There is a product called Acrysol. Comes in a green and white spray can. That stuff will take off the gunk left from labels on glass quite easily. Spray on, wipe off. And a little goes a long way.)
@@lavadaramirez3768 I know, right? I want to rush over to my nearest Good Will but I'm in the process of moving so I'd just have more to pack. So I will wait.
I've been making mushrooms for the yard with glass from thrift stores and solar lights. I use a lot of the marbles and glass drops and also get lucky and find a lot of them in the thrift stores. Also Dollar Tree or the clearance section at Hobby Lobby. Those get expensive quickly. Your things are beautiful.

Looks like you switched from e6000 to the epoxy. Did this glue not hold up as well?
The bird feeders started coming apart in the hot Florida sun. E6000 melts in the sun. It's a learning process! It works ok for the bird baths though.
Wish you would of showed drilling the glass..but beautiful

I drilled holes in the bottom plate so that condensation can drip out..

How DO U TELL WHATS SOLID COLORED GLASS?
One of the easiest ways to identify a piece of glass with flashed on color is to look for scratches and wear where the clear glass is showing through.
❤ what 2as the total cost to do this please ❤
Depends on what deals I get on the glassware. Plus glue : )
And where do you live? We thought maybe South Carolina or Georgia
