I am a salesman at Mitchell Hyundai, in Enterprise, AL. We CANNOT even keep them in stock. Love them, they are great vehicles. Hyundai (with Genesis and KIA) have really been making huge strides and are getting to the forefront of manufactures. We have 6 Hyundai's in our family, including my 18" Elantra Sport. I purchased it before I worked there, mainly due to the solid warranty by Hyundai, the car itself (it is amazing for the money), and the fact that our dealership DOUBLES the factory powertrain warranty to 20 years, 200,000 miles. Been watching ya for a while Raiti! Keep up the great work! :D

Great video bro, I never really looked at these. I love the Telluride, but I must say this Palisade is a great vehicle. I test drove the Kia Stinger and I loved it! Also the K900, the Genesis G80 and G90 are really nice! One thing I will say is,if Hyundai and Kia keep bringing out stuff like this they are gonna give the German automakers a run for it.

Great review Joe. I love the way the DRLs extend vertically all the way down the front. The digital instruments, and more stylistic and modern dash design tip my personal scale in favor of the Palisade over the Tell U Ride. I bet Honda is kicking itself for not executing their "lanewatch," blindspot camera better. They left it up to Hyundai to perfect the idea. Unlike Honda's system, Hyundai's doesn't briefly interrupt your infotainment screen while in use. The power folding third row is a nice premium touch also. A frameless mirror should definitely be a given at that trim level and price point.
You added a new sub for this video. Good flow with the fire sale comment. Seriously looking at the Palisade for my wife. We need space as we have twins in car seats. Bought a Elantra Sport June 26, deer hit it August 11 traded it September 26, yes just 3 months later, so I got the Palisade Ultimate and omg I love it!!
When you review a vehicle designed for a family, you should include parking in your review. I want to know if the steering is true and sharp to park in tight spaces such as stadiums, hotels, shopping centers, etc. Another daily driving consideration is easy access to ATM. I'm 5'1 and reaching the ATM screen can be a struggle - the outside mirror gets in the way of getting close to the ATM and drive-thru windows. Another game changer is the "curb" at the door/floorboard. Is the floorboard flush or do you have to step over a 3" curb to get out of the vehicle?
I was considering the Lincoln Aviator for my wife. Specifically the black label. I love the look of it inside and out. However, for her needs, believe it or not, the Hyundai Palisade won. I was not impressed with the infotainment system on this Aviator. It’s very laggy. Also, gaining access to the 3rd row seats isn’t as easy in the Aviator as it is with the Palisade. And once you’re in that 3rd row in the Aviator, it’s no comparison to the 3rd row of the Palisade, which has power reclining seats, cup holders, USB ports and more comfortable seats. Also, from the liftgate, there is no button to lower the 2nd row seats in the Aviator. Every car is going to have features that others will not. What matters is what’s most important to the buyer. If I were shopping for me, I would get the Aviator (Black Label) because it looks awesome, it’s fast, it has air suspension that will lower as I approach the vehicle (so cool), it has a 28 speaker sound system and many other reasons. But I’m buying this vehicle for my wife and none of those things appeal to her. Oh well. She’s getting what she wants and that saves us $40,000. That’s a win, win!👍🏾😊
Thanks for the review! which of the two has better LED headlights - better visibility for night driving? is it true that Palisade LED lights don't reach as far out as do on the Telluride? Will be great to know. Im not talking about fog lights here, that will help up close on the sides.
Palisade LED lights was the reason it just scored IIHS Safety+ whereas the Telluride only got the Safety (minus the plus)... the difference was in the headlights.
I have a new fully loaded 2019 Santa Fe Ultimate 2.0T only because I just have my son. If I needed 3 rows I would’ve have gone with the Palisade 100%! I actually sold my husbands fully loaded 2017 3 row explorer when he passed away. We have a 14 year old and I didn’t want the payment or need the 3rd row. Hyundai always appears more upscale to me vs Kia. I test drove both! In the end both brands give you quality vehicles!
For that side orange reflector I assume is just for regulations. All cars in the US need to have a side orange reflector, if its not on the headlight unit then it has to be on the side bumper.
The car has ambient lighting all throughout the interior. Similar to the Q7. Also next time why don’t you try to tap the third row folding button instead of holding it lol. Also it has tri-zone automatic climate control.
For the price you really can't beat this. Interior wise i think it outshines the other SUV's in its class like the Escalade, all the way up to the lexus RX. Not quite on par with the new lincolns, and exotic import suv's, but still a very impressive interior
Thank you for that detailed video the Palisade gives me another optional vehicle to look at before making a decision. Been leaning on the 2020 Toyota Highlander but as you mentioned the bang for the buck this Palisade is impressive. Be interesting to see how the Highlander compares to the Palisade, if it's even possible. Again thank you for what you do as it helps greatly in the decision process. Take care.
I've got nothing to zonk this Palisade. My only wish is an analogue clock say... by Tag Heuer or Breitling . They will certainly give Palisade that extra premium touch.
Joe, you always zonk mid row captain chair armrests for being narrow. Third row passengers use the space between the seats to get back there so wider armrests are not practical. I know the mid row seats fold forward but picture a kid occupying the seat or better yet, a couple child safety seats buckled in the mid row seats. It would be nice to see wider armrests that can retract into the seatback or else swing out of the way when necessary.
@@RaitisRides Read my entire comment again. Here is the short version: Try folding that seat forward when there's a child safety seat clamped down on it.
Another fantastic review I am getting one of these used tomorrow with low miles. I drove one and it is awesome and rivals the Germans as far as luxury and electronics at least. Getting rainforest green color which looks like the one in this review. I want to buy you a box of twinkies dude I think that is your favorite food ha ha.
I like the telluride better but like Hyundai screen better with the different drive mode colors and entertainment center with the cameras Kia should of put that in there suv turn between which one should I get ?
The palisade and telluride are both nice vehicles, but the dealers are selling at sticker or more. That’s not the right thing to do but you’re not going to change that. I was looking at a new Telluride with a sticker of $38,000 and they wanted over $500/month on a lease with 3000 down. That’s crazy, but people are buying them so I’m the ones that’s wrong I guess.
I was looking to trade my highlander for a few weeks now! I got Palisade after I watched your video. Very informative, The best decision ever. No more Toyota for me. Thank you.
Reviewers are somewhat constrained in reviewing both the Telluride and Palisade since so many features are shared between the two vehicles and I'm sure manufacturers and dealers encourage a reviewer not to point out over and over that the "Palisade/Telluride has (feature X) just like the Telluride/Palisade." So when it comes down to it, how do the two vehicles differ? () Exterior Styling. The biggest difference, of course, is the overall look of the two vehicles. Each has numerous "near luxury" features and overall image but the Palisade leans somewhat more toward "luxury" while the Telluride projects a more "rugged" image. That stems from the fact that the KIA is designed exclusively for North American customers and built in the US (It's not available elsewhere, not even in Korea) while the Palisade is aimed more broadly at other international markets and built in Korea. In those markets "luxury" looks and feel trump "rugged" among middle class consumers. In Asian nations where a middle class has only recently emerged (especially in China) there is no better way to demonstrate economic success than with a vehicle that at first glance resembles a BMW or a Mercedes Benz, especially when it comes at a bargain price. And in Europe where SUV's the size of the Palisade are less common than in the US, the rival vehicles come from Audi, BMW,, Mercedes, and Volvo. Again, "rugged" isn't a big selling point (except for Land and Range Rovers). The Telluride, on the other hand, competes with upscale versions of mainstream brands in North America that are rare in Europe and a rugged look and feel is more important. (Of course, neither vehicle is designed for anything other than very mild "off-roading" but we're considering image, not functionality here.) It's a matter of personal taste, of course. To me the Palisade's styling is somewhat "fussier" than the Telluride with too many curves and creases but others will differ. On one point, though, I think the Telluride wins hands down -- the placement of the headlights. The Palisade's placement just above the bumper makes them more vulnerable to minor collisions and rocks and gravel thrown from vehicles ahead. That's a special concern if you live somewhere (as I do) where spring thaw brings tons of rocks and gravel down from the mountains onto highways. It's bad enough to replace a windshield every couple of years; it's even worse if a vehicle's headlights are 18" above the pavement and much more vulnerable. () Interior Styling and Features. Carrying over the themes from exterior looks, the Palisade aims for a more "luxurious" interior than the Telluride. If you agree that faux diamond quilted upholstery is a sign of luxury you may prefer the Palisade. Personally, I'm reminded of the sofa in my grandmother's living room while the Telluride's seat and upholstery design in more modern and attractive but YMMV. The same can be said of the motorized third row seating in the Palisade. Hyundai considers it to be a sign of "luxury." But as Joe notes, you have to be willing to put up with the slowest raising/lowering mechanism on the planet. If you have arms like a T-Rex it may have some appeal but for convenience, not to mention reliability, I'd opt for the Telluride's manual approach. Furthermore, Joe doesn't mention that the Palisade gives up 3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row compared to the Telluride (21 cf vs 18 cf) for the convenience of motorized control of the seat backs. That's precious cargo space when transporting five or more passengers. The Telluride's space is exceeded only by the Chevy Traverse. The Palisade's is mid-pack. Another difference is the Palisade's push button transmission control and paddle shifters. The Telluride uses a conventional lever and has no paddles. Joe, correctly I think, zonks the paddle shifters but given the push button transmission they're necessary to provide any manual control whatsoever of gear selection. The Telluride enables that control from the shift lever but that option is obviously missing in the Palisade. On one point, however, the Palisade does top the Telluride -- the eye candy in the digital cockpit. It's undeniably attractive although the less colorful version in the Telluride provides all the same information and features. Personally, I find info presented in a b&w format to be more readable but again, YMMV. The Palisade's infotainment screen is better integrated with the overall dash design but the screens themselves are virtually identical in content and format. () Performance. Joe claims the Palisade is somewhat quicker than the Telluride, a result he attributes in part to the fact that the Telluride is heavier than the Palisade. I'm skeptical for several reasons. First, of course, the two vehicles share exactly the same engines and drive trains including the same gear ratios for each gear. It's possible that the software controlling shift points differs but I've seen no evidence of that and I haven't seen a reviewer mention it. Second, the Telluride is not heavier than the Palisade. In fact, it's a few pounds lighter. (Curb weight for the FWD models is 4112 lbs vs 4127. For AWD the difference is 4354 lbs vs. 4387 lbs.) Finally, the difference Joe cites apparently comes from Car and Driver tests that found the Palisade had a 0-60 time of 6.9 seconds vs the Telluride's 7.1 seconds. In view of the fact that the 0-60 metric can be influenced significantly by elevation, ambient temperature, tire wear, driver skill and individual differences between specific vehicles with different mileage, any differences of less than half a second are better ignored than relied upon. C&D no doubt attempts to reduce the variables but unless tests are conducted with identically configured vehicles with same mileage on the same tires on the same day with the same driver, a difference of 0.2 seconds is simply no difference at all. If there is a true difference it might stem from boxier shape of Telluride that imposes more wind resistance. But I'm doubtful about even that. In any event, if you're into stop-light drag racing, perhaps you should be looking at something other than a midsize three row crossover that nears two and half tons when loaded with fuel, passengers, and gear. :)
Great review. Have a Limited on order as the stock is non existent. As for the third row, I owned a Vera Cruz for almost 5 years used the third row twice.
I think it would have been better if you got the one with navy and warm grey interior, only available for the top trim. I think it is one of the most popular interior choice for this car.
That's what I'm trying to convince the wife :) Trying to get her past the whole Hyundai thing lol. I've heard it drive way nicer then the traverse too. Chevy/Buick/GMC have kept me in the family because they allow us to turn our lease in early every 2 years so I will have to see what Hyundai can do as far as numbers.
I’m ending my lease with traverse which I wish to get same brand but they jack up the price now with reviews I am excited to try Hyundai hope will stay until the whole leasing period

Putting a down payment on a Limited this afternoon taking delivery next week, far more than my first Hyundai Pony hatch
Very well said Robert! Thanks for watching!
Great job reviewing. 👍🏻 Definitely some big competition for the others.
Thanks Frank! You are so very right!
Excellent review buddy finally South Korea car companies competition head to head with Japanese automotive companies yeepppp
I want the Kia Exterior but Hyundai Interior
I wondered who else thought this!
I had same dilemma and ended up buying a palisade
Same here. I'm so pissed!!
Thats the best video i have seen with this vehicle.
Great SUV Hyundai did a great job right out of the box. Great Bargin
I can't agree more with you!
Yes! Love the SUV reviews!
Madison Spears thanks I appreciate that!😊
For that side orange reflector I assume is just for regulations. All cars in the US need to have a side orange reflector, if its not on the headlight unit then it has to be on the side bumper.
Gotta love the direction these new Hondays are going
The car has ambient lighting all throughout the interior. Similar to the Q7. Also next time why don’t you try to tap the third row folding button instead of holding it lol. Also it has tri-zone automatic climate control.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
Raiti's Rides np, I began watching your videos and love em. I think you should’ve added the HUD and 360 camera, and be slightly more through
For the price you really can't beat this.
Take care.
Highlander has much better mpg
In the North East on snowy days I use the paddles on my suburb outback all the time. So it depends on where your driving.
That is a very good point Steve!
I've got nothing to zonk this Palisade. My only wish is an analogue clock say... by Tag Heuer or Breitling . They will certainly give Palisade that extra premium touch.
Have you ever done a comparison between a 2021 Explorer and Traverse ?
Imagine a Palisade interior with the Telluride exterior, hmmm would be a perfect full size SUV
The Palisade and Telluride has the same motor ?
Joe, you always zonk mid row captain chair armrests for being narrow. Third row passengers use the space between the seats to get back there so wider armrests are not practical. I know the mid row seats fold forward but picture a kid occupying the seat or better yet, a couple child safety seats buckled in the mid row seats. It would be nice to see wider armrests that can retract into the seatback or else swing out of the way when necessary.
Why would they not get in by moving the seat forward like it is intended?
@@RaitisRides Read my entire comment again. Here is the short version: Try folding that seat forward when there's a child safety seat clamped down on it.
Palisade is a great name for an SUV
AGREED!
The koreans are really taking off with these suvs
They are very popular.
👍🏻. Very impressive vehicle. Haven’t test-driven a Palisade yet, but I did the Telluride. Both are very well appointed.
You are so very right!
Do you have the 2021 comparisons ?
A Very Good Review
.. Keep giving yiur Honest Opinions...Be Blessed..
Great breakdown!!
This is one very beautiful design. Very Luxurious
I am so glad that you like this one!
Great review ! Would you own a prowler or a ssr? And when the next live stream?
Gabriel Scarretta I’m going Prowler.
Cool,do you know when your next live stream is ?
Gabriel Scarretta it actually may be this coming Thursday.
@@RaitisRides ok !
@@RaitisRides
Yuri from the "Straight Pipes," would agree since he recently bought a really nice one.
I like the telluride better but like Hyundai screen better with the different drive mode colors and entertainment center with the cameras Kia should of put that in there suv turn between which one should I get ?
What model is this and how much is it worth and can dvd system can be added
I have been using the pedal shifter while going downhill for engine braking.
Thanks for sharing that input from yourpwnership.
It is crazy what is going on!
(Of course, neither vehicle is designed for anything other than very mild "off-roading" but we're considering image, not functionality here.)
It's a matter of personal taste, of course.
4387 lbs.)
Finally, the difference Joe cites apparently comes from Car and Driver tests that found the Palisade had a 0-60 time of 6.9 seconds vs the Telluride's 7.1 seconds. :)
Thanks for probably the best comment ever! So very detailed!
What do you mean by “faux quilted upholstery “? It’s real Nappa leather right?
@@kydo151 It's the stitching that's "faux."
Really cool looking SUV joe! Looks like a mini Cadillac Escalade from the side lol
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
The palisade needs larger wheels. Perhaps 22" for proper scale.
Great review. Have a Limited on order as the stock is non existent. As for the third row, I owned a Vera Cruz for almost 5 years used the third row twice.
You are going to love it!
Great review 👍
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
I think it would have been better if you got the one with navy and warm grey interior, only available for the top trim. I think it is one of the most popular interior choice for this car.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
So it's in the process of being sold but u rev it like that on a new engine that's not broken in? I'll buy somewhere else
I like the wheels better on the SEL. Otherwise, a great looking SUV
Which would you pick between this and the Chevy Traverse Redline? I have 3 kids so I need a 3 row and drive and Enclave now.
I would go Palisade all day long!
Palisade and it's not even close. Way better ride, more features, and a better price
Can you stop the blinking on the instrument panel? Or was that a camera setting?
How much
Saw one of these on the road and they look nice.
I totally agree with you!
@@RaitisRides make up your mind, does it look nice. Or like a pimped out hearse!!
Considering this as my next vehicle. Currently drive a 2017 Sante Fe Sport.

Ratio,
The paddle shifter is very important for mountain driving, don’t need to ride the brake going down hill, just saying
I’m ending my lease with traverse which I wish to get same brand but they jack up the price now with reviews I am excited to try Hyundai hope will stay until the whole leasing period
Can you review the new land cruiser?
I am actually getting that together!
What's new about it? I didn't hear about a new LC.
How can you buy a $46k vehicle plus tax, tag, license, dealer fees...ETC??? I mean this is a middle class American car I assume? The monthly payment is like a rent for some....

@@RaitisRides why?
how do u got that palisade light in doors??
