Nicely done ~ Perhaps don't over look the composite blank option. It's where I've landed with these baits and for my money, is the best of both worlds.
After using Sunline Tournament Shock Leader FC100 on the Expride 7’6” MH/F Graphite for Chatterbaits the fiberglass rod has been collecting dust in the racks. The stretch from this formula of fluorocarbon slows the baits response when ripped through cover and simulates the moderate action of the fiberglass blank when fished on this fast action graphite rod while also maintaining the great sensitivity of the graphite blank.
Glass rods all day for me when I utilize the chatterbait . I can feel every vibration of that blade and thump when it gets smashed. Not to mention it keeps them bass pinned and landed
1:40 best footage I've seen W2F. PS I love my mojobass rods . There all purple. I just hate that they changed the color of the cranking rods to that green color. My OCD.
I noticed that I can pop it thru the grass better with a glass rod. It loads slower and doesn’t snap back like a graphite rod would. Daiwa Elite Bladed Jig Rod
My next question for you is why did you go with the mojo glass rod as opposed to Dobbyns or even the combat evergreen glass rod? I ask this because I 'm just getting deep into chatter bait fishing & currently using a Googan go to rod. Which is a good rood in my opinion. I used it for frogs as well as whopper plopper's, and have so far caught bass & pike on it. And pike aren't what I was targeting but a fish is a fish when you don't wanna to skunked out on the lake.. thank you in advance for any honest feed back you have for me..
Exactly! That’s what I use but more like a mod-fast, glass is just to heavy to use all day and I hate that you just don’t feel anything with glass rods
Some days it does seem like I set the hook too early on fish with the chatter bait using a graphite rod, I think it’s the combination of too much coffee and the sensitive rod

I believe he summed that up very well. Nice job! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow great tracking shot underwater there guys. That must have been exciting to capture
I switched to this same rod this year. I've been impressed so far
I prefer a MH/MF or MH/M graphite for chatter bait setup. Just my preference.

That's cool considering glass rods are known for their lack of sensitivity 😂. To each our own. I throw a 7' 10" crankin stuck. Like that im6 blank.

Totally agree, been using a glass rod for a few years for chatterbaits and would never go back 👌
I agree with the MOJO bass rod, I caught my PB 9.5 and it had no chance on getting off.
That is AMAZING footage 1:40

This is dope, have that same rod for bladed jigs
Yea agree with that.My chatterbaits fishing with ultralight 2-4lb rod.I never get shock when fish comes up.

Or you could use a moderate action graphite rod and have the best of both worlds.

With a graphite rod i set too early with my flourocarbon. But mono stretches too much? 😂
I use mono so i prefer a graphite rod, but if you're using fluro i think a fiberglass or composite is the way to go.
Same
Love the TFO Tactical Glass Bass rod for this. The 7’4 MH is an incredible bladed jig rod, and a great price point!!
I use graphite but a 7’2” med action not med heavy
Lot of personal preference. You got the wrong graphite rod. My catch rate went up with graphite versus glass.
great... I was having that issue, I switched back to on of my older crank bait rods
Glad we could help!
Glass
IM 6 graphite rod is the deal for me
Salam kasih sayang
I am in indonesia
See I'm the opposite. I have an expride glass rod and I lose 85% of chatterbait fish on it.
I hear ya, guys are def all over the board on this. I personally prefer a good old 7' medium heavy for most of my ChatterBait fishing. -Ryan
