I miss my home fr !!! I’m happy the carnival is coming back but by bit for those who asked why it’s called the biggest street party well because it’s a whole month of different activities not just the carnival parade. It starts off after the AIDS initiative walk then there is the lighting of the Christmas tree football matches Christmas concert, gospel concert, utomo Obong ( yearly Yuletide visit tot he Obong of calabar ) two carnivals one up north in (ogoja) and the biggest one, the childrens carnival, the cultural carnival, international carnival (which was cancelled this year, Miss Africa beauty pageant ( that was also cancelled) the bikers parade and the Main Street party. Then moves on to the carnival after party, Nyoro ekpe and ends on the first of January with Nkod mbok. As at the time carnival started it was called the biggest street party so 💁🏾♀️
My comment was pinned 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 @steve if you come to calabar again please attend the cultural events 🫶🏾
A shout out from Brazil to my brothers and sisters in Nigeria.
Whaoo Whaoo Whaoo
Nigeria is the best Country Created by God in the World and Continent of Africa
Very Colourful and Amazingly Cultural Presentation Well done 💕💕🥰
💪
Beautiful Nigeria and culture, love from China 🇨🇳🇳🇬
The rest of my brothers and sisters may not see what you Chinese are doing in Africa, but I see through you people. It would be nice if you stopped treating black people badly in their own land. You are watching because you want to come and set up a shop so you can make money from black people and send the money back to China. To enrich your country. You people come to Africa and set up your own police station and military. How can that be? Can a black man come to China and buy out hectors of land and mistreat a Chinese in their own land. You people want to recolonize Africa. I don't know why the leadership allows you people to have such economic freedom and power in Africa. Black man, open your eyes. Nobody likes us. We are all we have. Unite and have one voice.
That is my country..proudly Nigerian..God bless Nigerians ❤❤
Looks like a Great One
Sorry I missed it.
Greetings from Brooklyn New York USA
Cameroonians are basically Nigerians living in another country that is only few kilometers away from Nigeria, so Steven don’t be surprised to see them being part of the carnival, especially those in the English region, we have a lot in common.
We are actually more closer to Cameroonians than Ghanaians.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AFRICA'S BIGGEST CARNIVAL LOVING IT FROM KENYA.
Thank ❤
Much love ❤
You should visit sometime
Its not fair, this event didn't get the popularity it deserves. So nice and colorful. Cross river home of tourism. Calabar to the world. ❤
Online hype is different from reality on ground, Calabar carnival is always up there ,there are many nations sending in representatives
There is a Calabar in Jamaica 🥰
Once they’re done fixing the calabar Eastern and western train station, a lot of Nigerians will troop in, cost of fuel made me to miss it, traveling from Lagos is like traveling to London ❤️❤️
Amazing city, beautiful women, glamourous culture. This is indeed the biggest carnival in Africa.
🇬🇭❤️🇳🇬
There’s So much intelligence and talent being exhibited in the carnival. Every performance, custom, make up, float, artistry is an interpretation of the carnival theme for the year… it’s still the biggest and most colorful street party in Africa . I love where I’m.
And some people still keep wondering why Nigerians are love across the globe...
Mostly proud to see how far carnival have reach all you'll are missing is the steelpan hello from the home of carnival Trinidad and Tobago
I am sure the ancestors Brought it Trinidad.
This is a calabar culture and costume. They just made it bigger.
The bride actually dresses this way
Wow. This is trully beautiful and it has to be made known to the world outside.
Nigerians are the pride of AFRIKA. If only they could end corruption…
Much love from the Senegambia ❤️
💪
Have you ended corruption in Senegal 🇸🇳 and the Gambia 🇬🇲 ?
so senegambia is not corrupt?
@@andersonojoshimite6047😂😂
A small country severely underdevelop what is that to you,?all africa are corrupt.

This is No doubt the Biggest Carnival in whole of Africa even tough the State Organizers didn't do enough publicity about it. Can you imagine the beautiful Costumes, unique designs all of them are presenting.

I'll love to attend the Carnival
Enjoyed watching
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
This is a very good display of the real african culture and dressing. It is however an isolated display of only one set of people. I guess it's just the starting point of a national festival. It should be expanded to the other Nigerian culture and Africans to make it a legitimate African festival. There's so much embedded in Nigeria and Africa as a whole to reveal and display to the whole world. For now, it's just an isolated calabe show.
Was there 2022.
Though me and my family were not opportune to visit obudu ranch because it was closed..
Steve i’ve lived in calabar for over 10 years and attend this event every year,i must say watching you make a video on the streets of my city, while capturing the essence of this event so well has made me realize how well made your videos and content are..unfortunately for the first time in over 5 years i couldn’t attend this year,i’m sure i would’ve sighted you on the streets keep it up.

Come this year I’m in Calabar i will take you around I’m also a UA-camr

Come this year
Awesome life-time experience.
Yes it was!
They should have an official spokesperson and committee (if they do not already) and start collecting stats and things of that nature. How many attendees? From where? Those types of stats can aid sponsorship. I too have wanted to attend since from when it started and we were hearing about it in Port Harcourt
They already have that, theres the carnival commission under the cross river ministry of culture and tourism, they do give all informations during and after the carnival which inludes number of states and countries interested in attending or attended the carnival and many other informations conserning the carnival.
I am sure it should exist somehow
@@OfemOtu-uf2uy ok that's good. But would be good for there to be visibility on line (e.g. youtube) which is free tourism advertising. There's probably some old bloke or two running it. Is there a website that you know of?
This was absolutely beautiful, loved it. I hope one day to visit this beautiful country and enjoy the carnival.
You should!
I miss this
Have you attended it before?
@@StevenNdukwu yeah long time ago
