I have been going since 2008. It the safest street party ever. My favourite carnival group is the sea gull. The Christmas village is where all the food sellers hire a stall to sell their foods and advertised their food businesses. I was there for 2022, I love the town of calabar so much I that I invested and open a guest house there for our diasporas visitors and for anyone else who knows how to have fun! So if coming hook me up to chill at my lodge, with local barbecue, pizza, shawarma, etc.

It's just simple, Nigeria is fully loaded with different wonders. Nigeria The most populated country in Africa, with greatest diversity, and the only country in Africa continent with largest ethnic group. In a book(ethnography of Nigeria), it reveals that Nigeria is made up of different nation, coming together to make a country. Which resulted to the amalgamation of northern and southern protectorate in the year 1914, by Lord lugard. Try and visit Nigeria, and you will see those amazing things for yourself. Different people with different culture living together as a family in a country called Nigeria. You guys even look like Nigerians

Alot of European settled here because of the climate in the region, waterfalls protected parks with endangered calabar gorillas. Beautiful and peaceful people and very welcoming, Lots to do and see, very little Is known about the region. The carnival is actually a competition between the elements and each element actually has Nigerian celebrities who endorse them and actually participate in the event. The blogger is only showing the street walk but the carnival heads to the stadium where the different elements puts on shows for the audience and we vote. it is crazy fun, like they pull up all the stunts.

Donald Duke was a really great and social animal kind of Governor. i went to school in university of Calabar. That man did a lot for that state. The cleanest state then, Christmas decoration on the street of Calabar. Then, there's the Obudu ranch. There's this festival that happens every year, that i never went (regrettably) - school stuff.

The stick walkers are part of Nigerian heritage. I know that is part of Igbo traditional dancers. The people of Calabar, too.

Calabar could actually be a parallel to Accra year of the return, where people can visit Nigeria (AND Ghana). Calabar has unfortunately some historical legacy around the theft of our people from Africa and some interesting colonial references (Lugard... eww, mary slessor) and of course native indigenous draws. It is also unanimously agreed the cleanest and most hospitable of all our regions! For what it is worth a lot of Nigeria's cooks and hospitality aides come from that region. No other region has conflict with them. Facts.

Hv lived in Spain, europe for about 15 yrs n christmas celebration is non existent. Funny hw this people brought a religion to the interiors of africa n forgot their own lands. At this times is when "home",Nigeria really hits home.
