Success on UA-cam begins with a single video, a single subscriber, and an unyielding passion. Keep creating, keep learning, and remember, every great channel started as a small one.
If you don’t think a video is good then you should probably delete it But if you already know it’s bad then don’t post it or if u already did post it private it
Just started my youtube channel that will feature my weight loss journey, posted my first short video and instead receive my first hate comment. But won't let that stop my journey. Thanks a lot for your videos and guides.
Started my channel 3 years ago. I was not consistent for 2 years. But now I went back have been trying to follow all this rules bu My channel is a struggling but no room to give up. I will keep going. 26 subscribers but no losing hope. One day I will get more. Am learning each day to improve the content. Onwards and upwards 💃💃
3:03 just to clarify, clickbaiting and misleading are 2 completely different things. By in-large, clickbait is more than okay, and the best way to engage new viewers who don't already watch your content. However, misleading is NEVER okay, the content must at least allign (like said in the video), with the title and thumbnail. But slightly exaggerating to "bait people to click" is more than okay, as long as what's shown in the thumbnail is always shown in the video itself. Essentially what you said about curiosity, it's just the word "clickbait" gets a bad rep. Thanks for all the tips! Will be studying this video for a while. 💙
Our shorts, videos, and livestreams are all doing so much better thanks to these videos. I didn’t know if we’d hit 100 subscribers in our first year, but we just passed 250 in under half a year. Thanks for all the hard work and great advice!
How you opened the video qualifies it for being for a lot of creators. Most of us are beginners, small or stuck. I fit 2 of the 3. Always here to learn.
This beginner's guide to UA-cam for small channels is exactly what I needed. Thanks for putting together such a comprehensive resource, it's super helpful!
My daughter wants to start making videos on UA-cam, we've started to watch this channel recently and I feel it has really helped us to get the basics! We got the camera out for the first time today, thank you for helping my daughter to take the first step
Great that you mention bad audio is distracting and that you illustrate your point so clearly! We notice this a lot in our niche. Bad audio is more often a reason for us to click away than dull visuals. I subscribed and wondered if you have any video's on growing a channel that focuses on audio rather than visuals and if this is at all possible on an image-driven platform. And if not, how to create the right (amount of) supportive visuals without having to invest a ton in graphic designers.
Probably one of THE MOST valuable videos I've watched on youtube. Started posting to my channel in the beginning of December 2023 with some scuba content, and have been thinking of the direction I want to go in, and this has been INCREDIBLY helpful in choosing my direction and approach. Thank you x100
@@FamilyFirstFighter Its more about testing and feeling the thumbnail out. Obv anyone can go and replicate one easily. From brainstorming to finalizing a thumbnail - easily 3 hours.
I'm gonna save this one for sure. I just watched first half and every advice is pure gold. It's great to have this sort of all-in-one videos to share with other fellow creators who might need guidance when starting. Keep the good work!
Thanks for always being there, without you, my UA-cam videos would still be the same as last year = not entertaining! also great luck to the person reading this.
Love how you decided on more content useful to small channels!! Often forgotten, but that's how we all start. (Unfortunately it seems it's also where it ends for us because youtube now flags all our videos for containing minors which means comments get turned off. That should happen just once, but happens up to 10 times per video. It should also not affect how the algorithm treats the video, but in reality it means the video gets (near) zero impressions, doesn't even show up on the feed of your subscribers!. Huge bug in youtube that's basically just completely killed my channel right now)
I have watched too many tips on how to grow and how to become a good content creator, but THIS? this is absolutely a GEM CONTENT for me!!!! GENUINE!! THANK YOU!!!
I entirely grew my channel with shorts, and am suffering because of it….my long term content is so far behind my short form. So I definitely needed this!
Daaaaamn. Mate. By the end of this video I found myself clicking subscribe. I resisted the urge to subscribe which convinced me to actually subscribe. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions in literally 1 second. Great work mate.
You guys are so informative and kind to share all this tips, it's soo helpful for small channels (like mine 😅), it's like learning the rules of a game! Cheers to you and thank you!
Keeping a Positive attitude and Supporting a community, No matter the circumstances. The more love you put into your content, The more genuine it will feel for the Audience.
This is great advice on many levels Rob. For me, lately I've been using one of the thumbnails that UA-cam selects because I get about the same amount of views whether or not I create a custom thumbnail. Why should I spend 30 minutes or more making a custom thumbnail when it doesn't improve my view counts or help increase my subscriber count? It doesn't matter because I'm winding down my tenure as a content creator. I recently purchased a condo and look at this point in my life as like starting a new chapter. When a new chapter starts then the previous chapter must close and as such my time as a content creator is nearing its end. It's been fun, challenging, and somewhat rewarding but in the end I just don't have what it takes to do this anymore. It takes a tremendous amount of time, passion, energy, creativity, resources, and motivation to make content that is going to resonate with a particular audience and I've run out of them all. I wish you all the best of luck on you UA-cam journey.
Very well done! Thank you!!! You packed it with a lot of great ideas and advice. Thank you. Also your delivery style was easy understand. You explained everything very well. I'm ready to jump in and start this youtube channel.
Thanks for the tips. We are a new channel trying to get to 1,000 subscribers like so many others. It seems like a daunting task to get the required subscribers and watch hours. But we will keep trying.
I didn't realize Jason Statham made UA-cam guide content... haha another great video Rob!! Just hit 25k subs, and found you guys around my 2,000 sub mark...couldn't have done it without you!!
I just started my own music channel, original music all recorded at home, with limited resources. I dont know a lot about how y.t actually works, this vid is brilliant, thank you.
Thanks a lot for this content guys! I have been struggling to reach 1 000 subs for over 2 years and thanks to you I still haven't given up. You gave me so much hope and I am sure I will make it. Never give up! 💪
Where is the notification bell? It used to be with the like and subscribe buttons, I even went to your channel and couldn’t see it? Excellent information, thank you!
I've just randomly stumbled upon these videos (and I don't have a channel I just have 1 random video I uploaded years ago haha) and now after seeing these I want to start my own channel. So now, I'm loading up on helpful tips from this channel BEFORE uploading my first actual video.
First time viewer and instant fan As I near retirement wanted to write more but this is seems like a lot of fun! If I have stories that vary in niche such as both horror, history, and religion (odd I know) should I or can I create different channels on the same account? Look forward to your mentorship
Thank you so much for the tips, this video is absolute gold. I'm starting to get serious about trying to grow on UA-cam and I've got 50 subscribers at the moment, hopefully by the next time I check in that number will be higher!
Thank You for another interesting and informative video! 🤗 I heard someone say that they went through law school and passed the Bar exam, and getting monetized was the hardest thing they have ever done! I can relate to the difficulty of reaching YPP status!! Even after attaining 2,340 subscribers in just over one year, 5,000 total watch hours (including Shorts) and over 140 videos, I am still on the long uphill climb toward monetization.
I love everything your doing I look at UA-cam different because of the information you given out you have two ear two eyes one mouth it's always good to learn from the goat nah fr 6:37

Thank you for these practical tips! The idea of leveraging collaborations to grow the channel really resonated with me. I'm curious, how do you suggest approaching potential collaborators and ensuring the partnership is beneficial for both parties?

I can't believe all this information is packed into one (amazing) video. Thank you so much for sharing it all in such a condensed manner!
believe it or not, I spend 2-3 hours on each thumbnail. I'd love to hire someone to make them though!
You can hire me. Lol. Just saying!
You have great thumbnails but 2-3 hours? I can replicate that in 5 minutes on a phone. Love your style tho.
these thumbnaild are easy to make
I spend a long time studying and trying diff versions of thumbnails too. Good to know big channels do too! 😄
