Small channels, keep pushing forward! Your hard work will pay off. Dream big and watch your channel soar!
I subbed to you. :)
One of my shorts is gaining 450 views per hour some how but thanks!
Edit: it slew down :(
Let's do it right sir💪
Thank you for the motivation! I’m a small channel but made it on my 10th video today 🎉
Keep on the grind for sure!
Posting in the morning vs. posting at midnight etc. and the timing of the video doesn't always define if a video will perform better or not on UA-cam, I noticed through personal experience. UA-cam did a fine job cracking that down on the algorithm scale.
I feel a good indication of making your channel pretty good is to focus on shorts that can draw viewers in that TIES IN with your long-form content. If both content relate well hand in hand with what you want on your channel to be as, you'll grow much faster especially if you are a newer channel. Good luck on hitting 1K subs. It's easy wishing to have it right away, but for many, it's going to also require hard work and commitment and never giving up.
My subscripers keep coming and leaving, but so far i'm glad i always sticked forward than backwards for now, and but honestly i always try to remember my self to stick to who i am than to change my self for what others would like me to be.
6:17 It's really very very important for the algorithms!!
Whenever i choose (Education) on my videos, they're die without any views, and i mean it literally *(without any view)*
So please UA-camrs,
choose the right category for your video.. 🙏
It's from my heart (experience)
to you brothers and sisters.. 🌹 ❤
VidIQ doesn't know know everything, because they are big (they have community=algorithm).
They don't see the difference in many sittings on UA-cam,
like us small channels!
I wonder 🤔
Third of the way there. Been on this platform for a decade, but have been away for a very long time.
thank you!
14:51 the thing that sucks is UA-cam started making it where a suggested video pops up when the video fully ends, instead of continuing to show the end screen
Yeah, it is a shame that UA-cam changed that. I usually ignore it anyway.
Yes absolutely and sometimes I see inconsistent, as sometimes will show your end screen and sometimes doesn’t !!
I find that incredibly annoying as a viewer too, as often I want to watch the end screen video but youtube gets rid of it before I have the chance
I noticed that too!
Fun fact about the thumbnail changes feature. I've noticed this on a few popular channels, and sometimes the different thumbnail is more attractive, but often times I don't click on a video when I first see it because I'm watching a different one so I have a lot of watch later videos. It wasn't necessarily because I didn't like the thumbnail. And I think it doesn't capture that reality.
To everyone reading this, I pray your channel will become successful 💪🔥
@@rubystitch3837 Thanks, we appreciate it a lot 😎🕵
Thanks, you too 🙌🏻
Thank you, you too❤
Thank you, same goes to you 🍀
@@sanjahotko8585 We appreciate it a lot! 😄
I don't agree about the tags and here is why. As we all know UA-cam is directly connected with Google. And by that using good strong key words and key phrases, makes your video appear in google search. Simply by doing a good job with the Title->Description->Keywords you can rank for a keyword really high in google search, even at the first place. And I am speaking from experience. I have a couple of videos where my keywords are ranked at the very top, meaning first place in google search, which brought me some good views. And by first place I mean, your video appears on a specific keyword on top of everything else, meaning the first thing to see. Not only that, those specific videos are still bringing views after almost 4 years. So I would not underestimate the power of keywords.
I think tags definitely help, but i definitely don’t think you should spend more than 5 to 10 mins on them
@@SleevelessMTG agree, when I have the title and the description ready the keywords are clear and am just typing them.

VidIQ doesn't know know everything, because they are big (they have community=algorithm).
They don't see the difference in many sittings on UA-cam,

Not that simple. UA-cam itself has said it rarely uses tags. In the early days of search engines, keyword stuffing, excessive title tags, and lots of tiny text at the bottom of website were used to try and game the system. Over time, both Google and UA-cam decided not to trust what the content creator says their stuff is about and instead they use more advanced processing to scan the content and deduce the keywords, tags, and indexing to make it searchable.
If you say your video is about wild tigers, but Google tech sees only cats and dogs, guess what Google/UA-cam uses to tag and index your content? Not the tag "tigers" you manually put into your submission.
That is because you have 11k subs. This does not apply when your channel is too small to rank. Google owns UA-cam, this means they have backend access to UA-cam data. So this means they can push their search results similar to how they push their UA-cam results. Larger channels TEND TO rank higher. Thus, your conclusion is flawed.
We keep getting the same tips yet we keep watching. That's us small channels 😂😂
So true😂😂😂
😂😂😂Yes.
Hilarious 😆
Hahahahaha 😊
😂yes.
Good luck to new creators, lets reach those goals together
Thank you for this information. I did notice a lot of those setting just looking around. But it's good to have a more clear understanding about them
The most important setting is loving what you create and share with the world. Let’s grow and get big together gang! 😊❤❤
Absolutely 🥰🥰
Exactly!
Very true
This I love! 💕
Very good, what many people want
Just starting out and only have a handful of videos, so I'll be going back to check my settings against your recommendations. Love the channel and thanks for the continued great content.
Thankyou so much for this advices, and surely will evaluate this into my own channel. 291 subscribers and still on track 🔥. To everyone, keep pushing and keep working hard 🔥🔥
Good luck folks. Keep working hard and you will get there! Set large goals to make large gains!
Thanks for being awesome!
thanks
Thanks a lot!🫡 271 away from 500 subs…loving the journey!
We can do this!
Yes we can
I had to start checking my settings again to make sure it's on point😊, thanks for sharing🙏
Thank you, I'll try my best and use these settings.
Definitely had some of those "automatic" dettings on by default...thanks
I didn't know some of these. Looking forward to try, thank you!
Thank for the info. I need to check the settings. Good luck to everyone. 😊
I've been doing all of these tips pretty much for a while and was agonising over the tags great to know it has little impact and I can worry less, thanks for the great vid
JUST REACHED 101 subs🎉🎉🎉
Keep going
Congratulations, I subbed :D
TYSM
Whoo hoo!!!
Good job!
Great work Rob! A good cross section of settings to be aware of whilst debunking a few persistent creator hang ups - enjoyed!
LOTS of ever changing settings. Thanks 4 this update. Cheers !!
As a watch review channel, I've always struggled with the 'paid promotion' option. I never receive payment for reviews, but I do sometimes get to keep the watches I review. So due to this, I've always aired on the side of caution and ticked this option for those videos. Then left an explanation in the video description. Do you think I need to this, or is that 'paid promotion' only for if you receive an actual monetary payment?
I can't wait for the thumbnail test and compare feature to roll out. That's going to be so useful in determining whether my newer thumbnail style is working as well as I think it is.
Checking my settings & absorbing all your great info. ENDING MY ANALYSIS PARALYSIS‼️
Thank you
Go for it!
Thanks for this! Since I started my channel I've been wondering about that category setting. Especially since my videos are "None of the above."
Still not entire clear on the difference between the Standard UA-cam License and the Creative Commons license though. Thanks again for a great video!!
I am more interested in the first tip.
Does it mean setting a video to private and waiting for about 2 hours, after uploading, will help the video do better compared to just publishing and making it public immediately?
Great video, definitely watching it in a bit with another from this same channel...👍🏾🤟🏾🙌🏾
Thank you, ill try to do it and hope my channel grow with it
UA-cam categories reminds me of the old days of the web, when you didn’t necessarily have access to search engines. You either knew the websites domain name directly, visited a webring that contained a bunch of related websites, or, the more important one, used a web directory, like dmoz. There was a period when people would create their own free websites, often using providers like geocities, which originally used a fake city system, where you had to pick the “city” your site was related to, like Sunset Strip for music, Hollywood for movies. If you had an 80s nostalgia site, which “city” do you pick? Same thing with directories, is your site about movies? Tv? Music? Toys? You can’t be all.
Absolutely BRILLIANT as always!! Thank you SO MUCH!!
Thanks for the great content😊
Thanks for the tips Rob.
We got you!
Oh yeah 😊
Thanks for the information
Me, who doesn’t get any of these settings because I upload from mobile:
☕️🧐 *intresting…*
Great tips❤. Thank you.
And guys don't give up. You got this🤗
I love your videos! Helped me so much when starting my channel. I’ve taken a lot of tips to help. Still a small channel but having fun making good content and using your advice.
I couldn’t agree more. 👍
@@Aeenjyl it’s pretty much the only channel I watch for tips and tricks lol usually wouldn’t sub to any other channels like this. But their tips work.
Very helpful!!! Thanks a lot.. I will keep applying all the new infos till I get there one day!!!
Yes, brother, thank you very much for sharing, it's very good, it's great, you like it
thanks for your advice🙏🏼
We got you!
Me enfocaba también en etiquetas.. puse muchas automáticamente pero veo que no son importantes
Y que solo debo de utilizar pocas 🤷🏻♀️
As a new UA-camr learning every day. Thank You for this video! 💙
Thanks for sharing! I just created my channel and your tips helped me a lot. 😊
I definitely needed this information. Thank you
Two things I learned in the pst month as my views dropped by 50% or more per vid.
1) when I had a couple of videos that I didn't necessarily want to publish straight away I still uploaded them as Unlisted and they still got a few views. When I decided to make them Public the views didn't reach what I'd expect. I'll use Private in future for those circumstances.
2) I was publishing at 10am consistently. 2 years ago that is when most people viewed my videos. After seeing recent tips on checking your audience I looked again for first time in ages - and when do they watch - 3pm almost consistently! Ive moved my publication time for the Algorithm and watching what happens!
I just want to say a huge thank you to Vidiq. I would never be where i am now without them. I started two years ago and i have just gotten 2000 subs. I urge anyone to never give up as you can do things that at first seem impossible.
Loved this video. This should be the first video in a playlist titled UA-cam for beginners. :)
Trying to do all those but mostly focus on improving my content. It's going to be hard but will pushing forward. Good luck to all.
Thank you for tips to improve our small channel
im smiling all the time if i see when somebody talks about Endscreens, how important they are etc. and then do it in the same video :D its just so nice haha
I'm fairly new to this and it's amazing how much of this stuff I didn't know. Lol Thanks for the great tips! 👍
I hope my channel grows with this ❤😊
I hope my channel grows too ❤
Grow, Learn and succeed together!😊❤
I hope too on it ❤❤❤
Better start studying how to make thumbnail becoz your thumbnail really sucks and try to say the video content within 20 sec then maybe get more views i learned it after years only
True
2 hours feels too little, if you can, upload the video 1-2 days prior, that will be much better, also gives you a lot more time to set everything up rather than rush through everything
Nah, 2 hours is plenty there won’t be any difference
This was an interesting video, with alot of good info, the thing that threw me off the most was how easy it was to setup your own chapters, i had no idea lol
Thanks for this kind of creator.its helping alot of people especially new creators like me😊 hope I'll make it
Keep going all who are watching this n never give up
Keep supporting each other and achieve ur dreams /goal😊😊
New channel here
You got this!
Thanks for the information! I wish my fellow small content creators the best of luck!
Best of luck🙌!
@@TrueTributes13 Thank you!!
I checked the 'don't post to subfeed' box a couple of times early on in my channel growth when I put some videos up purely for search and didn't want to confuse my viewers with them. They saw it anyway - as we know, more people see the videos on the home page, not the sub feed. If I want to do something like that again, I'll consider setting up a new channel for it.
Thanks 🎯 Great video 💯
Thank you for sharing this information with us
Thanks for the help! I’m getting to close to that 600 milestone!
Will work on some of these settings. Still a new UA-camr so I’m still learning. I have over 500 subscribers but most of my videos do not go past a few hundred views. Someone recently said I have great videos but I need to seo my videos to gain more views but not positive on what that means.
I've noticed the automatic concepts in some of my videos and honestly I think it will be useful for my viewers.
Great Video as always. I do notice a increase in views (in the short term) when posting at a certain time/day
Hey, that was very interesting thanks! So much value in 15min! thanks dude :)
brilliant 🙏🏾 thank you
love the final tip and the smooth transition into the next video! nice work!
I’m excited about what I just did. I’ve only recently started really working on my channel.
This morning I’ve created my thumbnail and title and scripted my video before I’ve even began making the video! I’m not set on the title for sure until I upload.
I had to tell N someone. Thanks for listening.
Thank you for the information! You've helped a lot.
Oh yeah thank you ❤hope everyone is goid. The advice 💯 works 💪
Is it possible to set it so that 'Automatic Chapters', 'Automatic Places', etc, are turned off by default? Been doing this for a long time and it's really annoying that these need to be unchecked every video. (I checked Upload Defaults a while ago but I don't think these settings were on there.)
For the A/B testing, is it only thumbnails, or can I test titles as well? I think better titles can make a more dramatic change to CTR than a different thumbnail, in most cases..
UA-cam needs to add an Edutainment category.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
From my experience about Automatic Concepts. When I made a video about COVID-19, UA-cam automatically added a caption in description, describing COVID-19 and also added a hyperlink that led to a website which had a lot of information about COVID. So I always turn it on.
Location is helpful if streaming of someone is specially looking for livestreams from their own country.
top recomendations as usual, thankss!!!
This was very helpful. I had no idea all of these settings existed.
Thank you so much . Hope this Will help 😊
Thanks a lot for the info and inspiring we the small creators. I believe all these info will help a great deal. All the best to us all

*Automatic Places* would replace the hashtags (at one point) on the top (when they were under the title). My other understanding was this would help location specific videos - a local store UA-cam - not get piled in together with others in different locations.
*Automatic Concepts* are to be checked if you are doing a video *outside your niche*. They don't hurt your channel if you post a personal video of your favourite basket weaves.
Also, my problem with Test 3 Thumbs is they don't overlay "YOU WATCHED THIS ONE ALREADY". Some people watch bc of the thumbnail, so I am concerned they're going to start watching, feel duped, and unsubscribe or thumbs down.
Yes, there is a little red line, but not in all places.
Great info !!! Thanks for the content recommendation
the thumbnail feature is what I have been waiting for... and waiting for... and was hoping would roll out last January
I'm following yalls advice and starting A new channel to niche down. Wish me luck!
Best of luck!
@vidIQ Thanks guys after watching the video on Outdoor boys I've decided to do it. My first channel got a couple of chainsaw videos go big and no matter what I try my woodturning videos won't come anywhere near as good. Oh well I learned alot from it and you guys. Keep publishing amazing content!
Thanks for this video, there are so many settings on a UA-cam video it can be overwhelming pretty fast. However I think Tags are still relevant for external research results. I agree that Automatic chapters / concepts / locations must be turned off as much as possible. I don't really get why UA-cam implemented these features to begin with
Small UA-camrs like me, don't rush. Everything has its own timing. Just upload the videos that you like and for sure there are people out there who will eventually come across with your channel and subscribe.
Thank you guys as always great info very helpful
I've been waiting for the test & compare feature of thumbnails for so long now, would be great if we can all get it this summer!
Thank you for sharing
in the end of the day consistency is the most important thing to grow your channel, and making sure the videos are edited and not something you recorded then uploaded
thanks, really appreciate it, will improve more and make more people smile
So do you want the Uploads default set to Public or not? You said, "the last thing you want to do" and that sometimes that means not to do that thing. Just trying to clarify. Thanks!
Hello vid IQ i just subscribed to your channel and now I’m going to do everything you just explained to help my channel grow faster thank you. 😊
Go for it!
I pray my channel grow with this, hey small UA-camrs we gonna smile soon, focus 💯
Thank you Good tips vidiQ❤
Don't take yourself or your content too serious, afterall, it's youtube.
Have a splendid day y'all and go fishing!
Love your advice sir
I appreciate your comprehensive explanations very lot.
Which software do you use for splitting the video, looks very professional. Thanks
Very Nice! Thanks for the tips! Definitely subscribed!
Thanks for the info
Will try these with my new upload! Love veriety gaming and streaming but i'm having a really hard time reaching and audience. Love making content, just a bit heartbreaking no one watches.
Rob: you mentioned setting the "shorts remixing" permissions in upload defaults. I don't see that option there. Is it hidden somewhere obscure?
