I love Highly Suspect so much. When I went to their show in Spokane Washington, he smiled and pointed at me and my stepmom in the front row because we were freaking out with excitement. He connects so much with his fans and that’s amazing. You can tell how much work and love he puts into his masterpieces. MCID for life!

It’s like Kurt Cobain wrote a song through Highly Suspect. I could definitely imagine Nirvana playing this with a little bit more “grunge” to it. It’s simple but it’s true, 100 %, truthful art. Not many bands can find it.

I don't think this song is about quarantine, I believe it's hitting the topic of how political everything has become. It's frustrating trying to talk to anyone including family members about the political environment. Everyone needs to calm down and try to talk it out and understand that we all have different views. Everything is boring so they look for any reason to snap out of the drudgery - even if they have to create it themselves by making mountains out of mow hills and ascribing to divisive mindsets. The very definition of petty selfishness.
A lot of people have serious issues just being. They don't appreciate any of the little things in life and take their pain out on others because they have trouble dealing with emotions they'd rather not admit they even have.

I’m not sure what happened to humanity. We are all a bunch of traumatized souls taking our internal wars out on others. I try not to act out on others, but I don’t exactly know how to step up and bring a return to stability. For now I’m just working on myself and trying to remain calm, that may be the kindest thing I can do for others.

This kinda reminds me of my childhood. Not the video itself but the singing and backtrack, the odd lyrics, it all reminds me of the 90's when bands that had weird, cynical lyrics and themes centered around complete and total apathy like Weezer, Blink 182, those two songs by Fountains of Wayne that made it big (1985/Stacy's Mom), that one Puddle of Mudd song "She Fuckin' Hates Me", and The Offspring were kings of alt rock. It just makes me feel that vibe, which I appreciate.

I bet they had a blast filming this. Been many times in my life that I "hated these days". Lots of partying and drug use back in the days......the rollercoaster ride of opiate addiction, up and down, up and down, up and down, down, down, down, down, boom, rock bottom. It is nice to have mental clarity and look back and say, it was fun at points, shitty at points, but I learned alot from it and finally have mental clarity. Anyone who reads this, stay away from opiates, they are the Devil.
