I watched a few channels on DID and I have never seen a system that is not human. It is truly interesting and eye-opening. I love how you also put photos of how you all look and I'm like "I can finally put a face to their name." By the way, everyone's names is soooo fascinating and unique I love it. Side note: 9 feet tall....holy helll. Anywho much love to you all and so lovely to meet y'all!

It depends on the age of when the trama happens and the age..
Its memories that the other alters hold on to and they don't release them until they feel safe as they hold on to the trauma..
Its an amazing thing the brain has done to keep the person safe..

Update: it's been revealed our gatekeeper is actually 2000 years old, and he actually has an _older_ brother. I can't even begin to imagine how old _he_ is.
We got a human alter whos in her 80s and we have multiple non human alters that are at least 100 I think the oldest is Nikita (a half demon half angel) shes like 1500 years old. We also have one that was technically born (I think) in the 1940's but she is stuck in her mid 30's. -Melvin

What makes me so frustrated is knowing that my glasses won't ever be clean for a long period of time and cleaning them will have an effect for about two minutes

I'm a fairly new (recently developed? fresh out of the closet?) system, and watching all of you manage to function and get along is is incredibly comforting and educational. I don't want to be tacky and say that it's inspiring uwu but we do feel more motivated to start getting our collective shit together after watching some of your content.

I relate to Vera so much when it started talking about being loud and brutally honest because well that’s me. I will literally tell you my honest opinion on anything whether it’s bad or good and people tend to think that I’m just an obnoxious rude person. Which in a way I guess it’s true because people don’t ACTUALLY want to hear my opinion on stuff they just want me to say what they want to hear or they’d want me to sugarcoat things but i don’t like sugarcoating things so I don’t and so I get called rude and obnoxious.

I heard Yuuki yell, that alter I was talking about, pf. We do love it and follow it on IG! (Also the DID/OSDD vines! I'm assuming he had something to do with that too? Whether yes or not, I just want to say we absolutely love them, and we ran to show our closest sys friends when we saw them, haha)

Just found this channel! I'm so excited to watch more! You guys all seem absolutely lovely from what I've seen, and I'm glad to get to knlw you a bit!
Having watched your video, I would like to say a very big "Thank You" for not only your bravery, but more importantly for taking the time to kill the stereotypes and for you wanting to help educate those like myself whom never had personally experienced DID of which I walked down Memory Lane as I'd remembered an ex-boyfriend who too has DID, and for the first Six to twelve months, it was a rollercoaster for me as I didn't know what any triggers/stressors were for him let alone at that time I had no support nor the education and research to help me to better understand and learn about DID as well as to observe and take mental notes about his altars, their likes/dislikes, their personally, and what are his "positive" and "negative" switchings and by doing so, It had empowered me with the basic knowledge and important information so that I could be the best supportive caregiver that I could be.
My then ex-boyfriend has DID and when he'd switch, his head would drop forward with eyes closed (almost like someone whom had hypnotized him) and once awoken, he'd undergo rapid switching/fronting as well as "switch slaps", I remember him having had close to 16 altars of which on his good days, they usually fronted smoothly and pain-free...for his bad days (dependent on his mood and stress levels coming home from work), that's the time I noted his rapid switch slapping. His altars are genuinely 90% friendly and carefree, however in periods of stress, that's when his one alter whom is a USMC veteran by the name of "SSGT David Benson" comes into play (I'm sure you can get the gist of what his demeanor would be); this specific altar's longest front was four days consecutively of which during this time, it consisted of up scares out of bed from him blasting Reveille at 4:45 AM every morning and going into full DI (Drill Instructor) status.
Overall, having educated myself on the matter, it's better helped and empowered me to be the best supportive caregiver that I could possibly be through the good, the bad and the ugly. I always told him that no matter what, I'll always be there and that I could never love him any less and that I'll always support him along the way.
Vera, I know a lot of people say negative things about it/it's , but it's okay to use it/its. I think it's important to be able to be honest. Fashion goth vibes 💀❣

You are amazing and you are helping me learn more about a disorder I have so thank you. I have ptsd and DID but I currently have 5 alter that I know about and one of them he is a physical protecter/co-host and he has helped me through a lot he is like Varric. My others alters are either littles or trauma holders. Any who keep up the great work and just know I look up to you and you are a amazing role model. You make me feel like there is more to DID and life then what I know right now and I thank you for that.

@@cncrte_mnic a lot. A lot of people were accusing her of faking.. I guess there is this old book someone found.. and in the book there is an inner world and some alters that sound pretty much indentical to what dissociadid’s said theirs were. Then also around that time her partner team piñata, was found out to be a pedophile. There was a lot more to it.. some really shady stuff Nan from piñata did to other people and systems. And then lastly.. a man that Chloe(at the time I think it was still just Chloe) trusted as a friend was doing some minor work to help with her channel. He helped write like a sentence of the description that goes in the description box, he helped with editing on like one or two videos.. very minimal stuff. He then made an sexual advance on Chloe, wanted to have a relationship with her but she declined and said no she was just a friend. He ended up getting very salty and basically tried to ruin her. He went to UA-cam and copyright claimed ALL her videos. He said he helped make them all and did a lot more than he actually did. So they were all taken down. She has now started re uploading them without that sentence he added to the description. But yah they are also in court right now and she had to get a restraining order against him. So yah that’s a small summary of what happened to them.. there is a lot of videos on it you can look up.. just search dissociDID drama 🤷🏻♀️

They aren't alter egos tho... They are alternate states of identities, otherwise known as alters and not an "alter ego" if you want more on this our video on why you don't want DID or our please stop video are good places to start

As someone who is just learning about this kind of thing, it is a bit odd to know that all of the alters are basically different people in one body. They have different body sizes and shapes, different genders and sexualitys, different likes and dislikes. I think its really really cool.
