Dough
400g all purpose flour ( i use Anchor / Cap sauh)
2 tbsp rounded corn flour
50g sifted icing sugar
250 pure butter ( for premium quality) ( I use Anchor salted)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cold water
Refrigerate the tart dough for 30 mins
Pineapple Jam
2 medium size pineapple
2 inch cinnamon
3 cloves
3/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice

Sister, thank you so much for sharing this recipe. My mother use to do this type of jam tart version for us at home. She doesn't even use the icing sugar in the dough. The sweetness in the spiced jam would taste awesome with the unsweetened dough. Old memories of my mother. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏

Yes, those days we never add egg or sugar to the dough. the sweetness comes from the filling itself.

Thank you for the recipe. Although I don't understand Tamil (sorry I'm guessing) somehow I managed to follow the recipe. Made it last weekend, but I tweeked it to make it less sweet & low carb by switching sugar to zero carb replacement & reducing the amount to almost 1/3. And I used whole wheat flour instead. Thank goodness it turned out delicious still. However I made the mistake of making the dough first before the jam. And my dough was in the fridge for too long & become really hard like a rock! 😅

Hi sis, looks so yummy. Planning to make tarts for Deepavali. Can I use the same dough recipe for rolled type? Thank you.
For the roll type the dough hv to be a bit wet sis. If not it will break diff to roll. Maybe you can add 1 tbsp more butter. I have not tried rolled version with this dough.

If yu want to add egg go ahead. This is an eggless resipi. Eat less of the tarts if you are worried about the butter .
