    Pineapple Tart is a staple food when comes festive season like Hari Raya and Chinese New Year. Some like it melt in the mouth, some like it a little crispy, some like it their own way… only they knows how it is. This is my way of making the pineapple tarts ever since I can remember. I used to help my mum come Hari Raya to make these cookies. Back then, when we made for personal consumption, I would just use a circle mold and design the sides by hand, but since I started selling these in 2005, I just use the mold as shown here.
    This recipe is exactly how I would sell it. It’s not the melt in the mouth kind nor crispy… it’s just how my family and I love mine.

    Preheat oven at 150°C for 15mins
    Yield: about 150 pcs
    \\ Ingredients (tart)
    800g Plain Flour (Tepung Gandum)
    454g Golden Churn Butter in can (Mentega Golden Churn dalam tin)
    1 Whole Egg (Telur 1 biji)
    2 Egg Yolk (Telur Kuning 2 biji)
    3 drops of Egg Yellow colour (3 titek warna kuning telur)
    \\ Ingredients (pineapple jam / inti tart nenas)
    6 Pineapple (Nenas)
    750g Course Sugar (Gula Pasir)
    Reduce to 650g for less sweet (Kurangkan ke 650g kalau nak kurang manis)
    5 Cloves (Bunga Cengkih)
    2 Pandan Leaves (Daun Pandan)
    85g Butter

    We make pineapple tarts for Deepavali too. Perhaps as Malaysians most of the festivals treats are similar. Maybe you could add on Deepavali in your description too, not only Hari Raya and Chinese New Year. ☺

      Yup pineapple tart is for all festive actually 😊 my list for Deepavali i try to put those eggless cz i think some indians are vegetarian so i dont include those recipe with eggs.       So that it will not harden. When i first learned to make the filling, i missed out the butter and it hardens when its cold.

    update hehe : TURNS OUT GREATTTTT. i ended up not using the eggwash. rasa tk perlu sebab colour dia just nice hehe. i tak sure kalau kena pakai salted butter ke tk, i use unsalted but okay lah, tawar sikit tapi healthy giteww 🤪 thank you for the recipe!! :) selamat hari raya!!

      Boleh juga gula halus. The sweetness boleh adjust ikut suka. Butter boleh kurang sikit tp kalau kurang butter sngt inti boleh jadi keras.

      Rub in method is to rub fats and flour in between fingers. Can try use this recipe to rub in but in this video i show my authentic way of making my pineapple tart recipe which i inherit fr my mum.       Biasa sy buat ni mmg tak taruk pasal ni resepi zaman nenek dulu mmg tkde vanilla. Tak rasa hanyir. Lagipun ade inti. Kalau nak taruk vanilla sikit pun boleh, tak de masalah.

      Memang tak taruk ni resepi zaman arwah nenek saya lagi. Org dulu2 tak pakai esen2. Da ade inti, tak perlu taruk esen. Tp kalau awak nak taruk ok je. Sy kalau buat kuih tart yg ni mmg sy tak pernah taruk. So far ok je, buat jual da beberape tahun pun tkde org ckp bau atau rasa hanyir. InsyaAllah ok 😊

      Ye, resepi sy mmg tak taruk gula pasal jem nenas da manis dan sy suka taruk inti bnyk, nnt bila mkn sekali pasti da manis.
      Kalau nak guna inti instant pun boleh tp inti instant ni ade yg ok tp ade yg keras lepas bakar. Sy pernah guna instant tp yg premium punya baru ok sikit. Kalau instant tk perlu masak semula tp kalau nk taruk warna, kalau sy lah, sy akan cairkan butter sedikit je pastu campur warna, then masukkan dlm inti dan gaul rata. Kalau nk masak semula pun skejap je pasal nnt kering sngt.

      Saya rasa boleh tapi saya biasa kalau da guna butter golden churn dalam tin gini tak tambah yg lain2. Mungkin kalau awak tambah, rasa dan texturnya berubah sikit tp sy rasa kalau ghee baunya wangi sikit.

      Boleh guna butter ape pun, cuma beza pada rasa dan texture. Sy suka guna golden churn dlm tin ni pasal lebih lemak dan pada sy lagi sedap. Sy pun pernah guna SCS dan buttercup, pun ok juga.

      Boleh tapi kalau nutella sy rasa tukar butter guna butter brand lain je. Golden churn yg dlm tin ni mcm lemak2 masin sikit. Pada sy mcm tk kene dgn nutell. Tapi terpulang lah kalau awak suka 😊

      Salam, crust nye tak lah gebu sngt2 dan bukan rangup tp kalau awak bakar lama sikit mungkin akan rasa mcm rangup2 sikit.

      Hi, did u put butter when making the jam? Also when u bake, dont bake at very high temp and dont bake too long. The surface of the jam will feel harder abit but when u eat it shouldnt be so hard.

      The jam was bought from bakery and I did not add any butter in it. I baked it 180 deg high and low temperature.

      Oh i see. U hv to see if the jamnis premium quality or not. Some jams are made with only the soft flesh of the fruit without the core and is usually softer. Try heating the jam and add butter or bake at low temp. Otherwise i think the jam is not suitable for open top tarts.

      Waalaikumsalam. Maksudnya intinya berkulat? Kene masak hingga pekat kering, jgn berair. Simpan dlm bekas yg bersih dan kering. Da sejuk btl2 baru tutup rapat dan simpan dlm peti ais. Kalau nak simpan lebih dari seminggu, biasa sy taruk dlm freezer. Kalau boleh cling wrap rapat2. Bila nak guna utk taruk kat tart, pastikan tangan dan bekas2 semua bersih dan kering. Da bulat2kan taruk dlm tart pastu bakar. Lepas bakar, pastikan tart dan inti betul2 da sejuk, baru simpan dlm balang. Tangan slalu mesti kering.

      Tak. To me dah manis kalau mkn dgn inti nenas tu. Kalau u nak manis sikit, boleh cuba gantikan tepung sikit dgn icing sugar.

    Ur bahan exactly same as my arwah nenek n mum using churn butter, but they melt the butter first & tepung add sikit2 . Id it lebih kurang same method? I try ikut their style tapi x menjadi :( . InshaAllah i try ur stail lak. Cuma buat jem tak berani. Last time buat jem berkulat leoas bebrapa hari.

      Golden churn dlm tin da lembut so i cuma gaulkan je dgn bahan2 lain tak cairkan. Boleh cuba mane2 method. Kalau da cuba ni, kalau menjadi, feedback ye 😊

      Kalau oven awak tkde kipas pun boleh tapi kene ubah suhu dan waktu bakar agaknye ikut sesuai oven masing2. Sy guna oven yg ade fan.

      Biasa sy kalau bakar slalu guna fan jadi panas suhunya lebih rata. Kalau tak nak guna fan atau oven tkde fan pun boleh, sy pernah cuba tanpa fan, tapi suhu sy tinggikan, bakar lama sikit dan mesti pusingkan loyang lebih kerap. Tapi terpulang oven masing2.

      Sy tetap akan rotate walaupun on kipas. Usually sekali in between baking.

      Whenever i make this pineapple tarts, its always this exact recipe or double. Never lesser 🤣🤣 but sure u can half the recipe. Just divide all ingredients by 2 😊

      @@mybakehouse thank you … another question , the recipe is one whole egg and 2 yolk . So for half recipe , how do i calculate for the egg ? I use half whole-egg and one egg yolk b,right ?

      Either use grade C egg for the whole egg or u can beat one large egg then divide into 2, then add 1 egg yolk to 1/2 of tt egg.

      Lepas bakar atau sebelum? Kalau sebelum, tambah tepung gandum sikit2 supaya senang sikit nak uli. Mungkin telur awak guna beza sikit. Kalau lepas bakar, agaknya kene bakar lama sikit. Texture sy buat tak lembek atau rapuh tp mcm garing di luar dan lembut bila makan.

    Nastar kue dr indonesia peninggalan Belanda Nas(Ananas dlm BHS Belanda) tar (kue) dan nanas adalah nama buah di Indonesia. Dan bahasa Malaysia nanas adalah sama seperti BHS Inggris dan tar/kue BHS Malaysia nya cake. Jadi jelas nastar bukan dr Malaysia ,kenapa ya Malaysia selalu meniru atau bahkan men-CLAIM makanan maupun budaya Indonesia.

      Hehehe... entah lah, sy tau ni dipanggil kuih tart sejak sebelum sy dilahirkan lagi. Tak tau asal sebenarnya dari mana tp kita kan semua di nusantara ini sama aje. Kuih tart ni sejenis biskut bukan kek dan mesti ada di waktu lebaran. Tapi org2 cina juga men-claim bahawa pineapple tart aka kuih tart aka nastar ni adalah biskut wajib utk chinese new year... jadi sy tak tau lah asal sebenar dan juga tak patut jadi masalah pun pada sy mana asalnya atau siapa yg punya. Sama seperti nasi goreng atau rojak.. dimana2 pun ada dan semua men-claim itu asal dr tmpt mrk cuma beza citarasa masing2 😊🥰
