My 'introduction' to Japanese food was at an expensive restaurant in L.A. where we were served in a private room by beautiful Geishas. I had the 'beef teryaki and shimp tempura' which consisted of a thick filet mignon served with huge shrimps dipped in this beautiful, but simple batter together with a side dish of varied fried vegetables. Honest to Pete, it was an experience I will NEVER forget and that was way back in the 60s.🌹

@@asakusa-tokyokitchen I'm just curious (not that I eat meat anymore), but do you have a video or could you make one on YOUR way of making beef teriyaki and shrimp tempura? And what would you serve it with (I think I had broccoli which I didn't like at the time, but have since acquired a huge taste for). 🤣Maybe you could wear a geisha outfit for nostalgia's sake.🤣
