Insular Christianity and Ireland are the easiest places to start to make a religion and then make yourself the temporal head since 3 holysites are located in the UK.
Both of those sound absolutely amazing, but my vote is for primitivism

CK is one of those games I've always wanted to get into, and I know I'll love it, but there's just so many buttons and things that's kinda overwhelming to learn
I was the same way! CK3 is very newb-friendly (...right now... more complex game mechanics incoming, which is great, but this would be the time to get in on the ground floor). I'm a super casual gamer, mostly into RPGs and simple tactics/puzzle games. I found CK3 very enjoyable from the get-go. Probably helps that I like to read and explore menus and go slow? But you can definitely crank up the speed and just enjoy the ensuing disasters/weirdness right away too, if you're less of a scaredycat. :)
@@TimpanistMoth_AyKayEll will give it a go at some point this summer. I just get lazy when I see a tutorial that lasts more than 10 min Q.Q

Thankfully for you this is probably the most accessible grand strategy game, it’s very intuitive just play around with it for a couple hours and you’ll get most of the mechanics

I once did a custom viking character in Ironman mode. I made him an expert strategist so that he could go out to conquer and establish Norway. He went from a random count to a King in less that half a lifetime. The latter half of his lifetime he joined wars and fought with his allies. But somehow he also was immensely pious. I have no idea how but he eventually became a paragon of virtue. It was crazy.
He used his strategy for PR

1:32 my mother works in medical billing and one of her patients actually has a problem like that due to some brain trauma.
