Oh hell ya I miss my 1995 Chevy Silverado Z71 king cab. I've owned many MANY trucks and cars throughout my lil life and that dang thing was the best truck ever. The amount of things I have done with that truck is straight up unreal. Got almost 780,000 miles out of it. Yes of course had third trans, but stock block n rear end. Drove n hauled from northern California to Tennessee 17 times. Won mudding comps, pulled three jeeps off cliffs and the list goes on and on. N always drove back home.
Great video. I had a 1992 Chevy step side just like this. Sold it last year. Was in the family for 30 years. Just couldn’t restore it. I wish I kept it. On a different note. I bet that snake kept the motor safe from rats and mice chewing on the wiring

Love the video, I have two of these trucks so it hit home for me. One of them has been on the road since it was new it's been all over the country but it's rough and getting weak at 390,000. My other is my project that started just like this video, unfortunately the engine and trans were both trash, I found a healthy donor for it but now I'm dealing with Everything else. I replaced every single brake part before realizing the abs was really the only problem besides rusted lines and hoses. I deleted the abs and like magic I got nice firm brakes. Now I gotta do suspension and body work, replace some interior. When I brought home from Arkansas it was spotless,3 Years of Illinois can corners , rockers and rear wheel wells are all needing work.
That's so awesome. Glad you love these trucks so much. We love them also some amazing trucks for sure. Sucks you live up in rust belt. Thanks for sharing, and the support.
@@JMRRebuilders A lesson three cousins of mine and I learned when we were converting a VERY similar Chevy pickup from a "pretty truck" to a "working truck". One of my cousins had purchased the pickup used for kind of cheap and between us we built a hay and cattle hauler bed to replace the step side bed. Before we figured out that the ground strap was what was holding up the parade, we broke at least two commandments and would have caused even the saltiest sailor to blush....If that tells you anything. That truck is still in service on one of my cousins farm to this day.

Great job brothers, really got some good laughs and enjoyed the content!! I was lucky enough to find a 1992 C1500 1/2 ton around 7 years ago and she fired right up but had to buy a new fuel pump and sending unit from Summitt, tps sensor, map sensor...The ole girl has been running and purring like a kitten ever since. I have a 5.7 350 TBI myself but if I could give some advice if you ever have problems with loss of acceleration and backfiring issues keep an eye on the Ignition Control Module under the distributor cap, not sure what the hell GM was thinking by putting it inside the distributor cap because eventually the thermal compound dries out causing ICM Module to overheat since it sits on a metal plate on the distributor. Also the Igniton Coil itself in between the throttle body and distributor..Heavy Chevy baby, love me an OBS Chevy!! Keep up the great content! I'm in McDonough, GA myself.
