Just a note on the predators grace boots; the muffle enchantment on them is actually more powerful that of the shrouded boots, and nightingale boots. The latter pairs only muffle your sound by 50%, whereas predators grace muffle your sound completely, essentially meaning you can sprint around enemies and they won’t hear you.

I didn't know Auriel 's Shield was hard to find. The first thing i tgought when I found it was "Oh neat, another addition to The Dragonborn's Legendary Junk Drawer. "
Always felt getting Auriel's Shield was trivial. Explored the big chamber before doing anything, found the place for the ewer, and Bob's your uncle. Kagruzel (sp?) is a puzzle and I love puzzles - black bow is mine most often; love all the other loot. Could see and went after the ore on the top of the world and finding the notched pickaxe was a bonus. Found Jiib's pages when looting in the Soul Cairn and followed up. Having Arvak helped. @@Into-thin-air-42 The first computer game I played was in about 1971, question-and-answer Star Trek thing, typed on a teletype machine connected to a mainframe. Another year later or so, I saw but did not play a lunar lander game on a scope in the astrolab. As a grad student, I played arcade games - Donkey Kong was my specialty. Then there was the Vic 20 and more Q-and-A puzzle solving games - in a haunted forest, or a spooky castle (don't investigate the witch's cauldron - automatic game over!). Then we had kids and here came the game stations with my guy Mario from Donkey Kong, Aladdin, etc.. Played Mario Kart with the kids and watched others. Somewhere in there I played the original Sim City (llamas rule!), started Myst but never finished. Then came the RPGs. Watched my daughter play FFX (son had hived off into PC games) and I had to have some of that. Turns out I was better than she was on some things she didn't have the patience for - butterfly race, chocobo race, lightning jumping - so I started my own games. She got me going on Skyrim, too. Good mother-daughter bonding time. Now I have my own gaming computer and can use mods!
The Woodsman's Friend *can* be found with Hearthfire installed, even after completing Lakeview Manor. It's simply down the hill a bit, next to a little cliff. I've found it several times, never without Hearthfire installed.
Yes for with Hearthfire installed, though I did go looking for it before going to Whiterun. I found it beside the corpse of a Wood Cutter, downhill just below the flat area you build on. Thought to look for it in case it disappears after building. Thanks.
Absolute favorite hidden item is Bolar's Oathblade. It can't be acquired after the "Ill Met by Moonlight" quest, so I think that it counts as hidden. It's an enchanted Blades Sword, and it comes with a note. A really cool and fairly powerful early game item.
You can get it after Hircine's quest. You just have to clear the area and then leave it 100% alone for a month in game. The dungeon will reset and respawn to its original setting without the WW quest. You may have noticed that being listed as "Cleared" on the map doesn't always mean "Empty". If it's been a while since you've been there you can go back and any non-unique items you've already picked up will have returned. Useful for mining or collecting ingredients.
@@emrek99205Skyrim dungeons have the “cleared” mechanic tied to a single npc in the dungeon, usually the “boss”. The cleared tag will come after killing them, everything is can be left alive but if that given npc is slain then it counts as cleared.
"Don't forget the mask" It's funny, I looted it, and have it on a mannequin in Lakeview Manor. A couple days after putting it there, I realized that if I removed it, another one would spawn on that same mannequin. It does this, literally, every time I exit and re-enter my house. So...I forgot the Dragon Priest Staff, but I have an endless supply of Nahkriin masks
I actually got the amulet of Saint Jib in one of my play throughs whilst trying to get the spectral horse. I ended up giving it to Lydia because not only does she use a 2 handed weapon and You gotta up that stamina but lets be honest she's a pack horse and her carry weight is very important.
You can do a glitch to give followers unlimited carry weight, instead of trading with them. Drop the items you want them to carry (passed carry weight limit) on the ground and tell them to pick the items up
I’ve never actually had the staff. I saw a dragon priest, three dragons, countless draugrs, and I was like “nope” and got through the portal before he even got the staff.
Just so everybody knows, the fastest way to reset a Merchant's inventory is to save the game (just so you keep the money or whatever you got from them already) draw aggro from them by hitting them or something until they start to attack you and then just reload the save. Their entire inventory will be reset and is it A LOT faster than leaving the city and waiting 3 days. (Just in case anybody does want to try and go for that circulate without it takeing 9 hours :P)
I think a lot of that tactic came from ps3 era. It was just faster to pick a merchant and wait 3 days because load times were so terrible. On ps4 i can go into a shop sell all i have, leave and hit two more shops in the time it would take ps3 to load into the first shop. Skipping time was just faster than loading.
@@swskitso Yeah I recently picked it back up after my huge PS3 run and now I am playing it on pc. What an experience. I cant even read the tips on the load page before I am in and out. It makes the tedious stuff a whole lot less painful. @@joshuasterling2144 on ps3 my go to home location is ravenrock because once your inside your home you have full access to everything with no load screen Ps4 i tend to build one of the hearthfire homesteads. Running missions for the thieves guild was a load screen nightmare on ps3.

@@damiantoms7853 You can actually tell he does not since, in the moment he does it, the Dragon Staff is removed from the corpse for a moment before he resumes normal play. A normal Take All option would just resume normal play, where we would assume that he used it since he is now using an item from that corpse. Trust me, I know how Skyrim works.
You can’t 100% it because there’s certain choices where you get one thing and the other is gone forever. So while there’s no *true* 100%, I suppose 100% is whatever you make of it, you create your own 100% when you feel that you’ve truly done everything. That’s how I see it.
@@clobzz You could do an RDR2-esque 100% completion. Do every type of radiant quest once, thane in every hold, buy (and build) every single property, kill one of every enemy variant, complete every sidequest (or its counterpart), the main quest, unlock every shout, and clear every dungeon once. If you want to make it somewhat sadistic, tack on reaching either level 81 (Every skill at 100), or 252/255 (Every perk).
During the DLC when bandits storm your house you have a chance to kill one of them wielding the Woodsman's Axe if you built your house at Lakeview Manor
Same. But I also did it before doing any of the Greybeard quest line. You can actually bypass their fort and wiggle your way right up to the top without following the path.
@@kenmolinaro The ol' jump and strafe technique. "I shouldn't be in this area lol" Only trouble is sometimes you get stuck in a hole and can't fast travel out because it thinks you're falling, so you gotta keep saving or you might get stuck and lose progress like I did that one time.
I found all the falmer books and auriels shield in my first run because I really really love the forgotten vale. I think it is so unique and lovely designed and I adventured every cravice of it
They're really good, but only for a short time. Their armor rating is too low to be useful without smithing, but you need decently good smithing before you can upgrade enchanted items.

@@SF91 Well, one good thing about them... is if you felt like doing a playthrough where you only use the worst rated items in the game. A handicapped run if you will. In my favorite game, Gravity Rush 2, I did a full playthrough of the story, challenges, and side mission without using talismans. Talismans are items in the game that give you buffs to your gravity powers, buff offense, defense, etc. Some are just novelty for pure fun, like being able to jump higher, but if you have the right combo, you can be pretty freaking deadly even in the most difficult challenges in the game.
The pages for jiub weren't too hard to find. I wanted to explore everything in the soul cain and found the pages easy. But, I never knew what they were for. Somehow I missed the guy himself and once my friend told he was in the game I spent an hour and a half trying to find jiub with all 10 page's in my possession. Talk about the reverse side of the same problem.
The Predator's Grace boots were the only ones here I found on my own, and I didn't use that shout to get to them. Just good old fashioned mountain edge running out of curiosity.
@XxDripp.God_ xX not all of us are edgy assassins. Also the people who found it by themselves (me included) didn’t go over there searching for the item because of it’s worth. We just happened to find it because we like exploring.
2:58 you could wait outside the city for 24 hours. OR you could save the game hit the shop keeper causing him to turn hostile and reload. This causes a inventory refresh.

You missed the glass bow of the stag prince. It's only obtainable by stealing it from a merchant in a hidden hut on Solstheim. He only appears between 12am and 6am
Not only that, but you have to jump through hoops to get the bow off him because of a bug. Camel has done a video about that bow, but he may have forgot when he made this video. : P
Fun fact, the first time I played through the main story line of the base game, I panicked when I saw the dragon priest since he wasn't there before on my screen and jumped into the portal before he could even grab the staff
Me too, when I first played the game I basically rushed all the main quests. I just wanted to continue the story and didn't really do any side quests. This led to me beating the main story at level 9... which was very hard to say the least (the centurion at the end of Alftand took me forever to beat). Skuldafn was basically a death trap for me, so I ran through the full thing without killing a single enemy, including jumping into the portal without killing Nahkriin.
I actually found Windshear by accident. I decided to slaughter everyone and then stand on the pole and get a screenshot and damn near tripped over the dang hilt. Thats how I found it. Notched pick axe was kinda the same thing trying to get to the top and found it. Again my first play through.
9:20 There is actually a way for you to know what order to place the gems in the pedestal, you can see what order to put them in on the door that will open up and lead to the next section of the dungeon.
The note on the bandits you kill in the main chamber mentions this. Unfortunately they didn't have enough of the gems to make it work. Not only that, but the symbol over each door glows annoyingly bright to notice and is in a similar 3x3 pattern so its kinda obvious. Only thing I missed was that the automatons behind the switches will be on your side and follow you like a puppy. They'll help you on the challenges. I didn't know this and would just pull the switch and then kill them. Oops.
Ok, I’m super impressed. I have 5000 hours in Skyrim, I watch tons of videos, and you were still able to show me a couple items I hadn’t even heard of. Bravo!!
But.. how? I've only played about 500 hours back in 2015 when I knew every item in the game. I wish there were way more unique items or items in general.
You have 204 days of skyrim? That's 6 hours a day for 2.24 years. With no breaks, presumably no job, no education, not much social life... You need a life dude...
I feel proud that I found almost all the resonance gems on my own without ever referring to a guide (although not on my first playthrough), although I didn't know where to find the final one (or that it even existed) and had no idea what they were used for. I figured they were another one of those items that were for a quest that was removed from the game, such as the ornamental rings in winterhold or the giant's club you can only have a follower pick up. I also found the notched pickaxe and the woodsman's friend without help, although I found the woodsman's friend AFTER I had built my falkreath home. It isn't removed after the house is generated
Since my big brother loves showing off his climbing skills, he climbed to the top-top of the Throat of the World, and found it. We were surprised and thought it was a glitch, because of where it is. He also found Windshear from showing off climbing skills, and we laughed because it also looked like a glitch, and it has the same name as a dragon from How to Train your Dragon.
When I found The Woodsmen's Friend there was a "woodcutter" lying dead next to it. Also a spilled tankard was sitting on a stump with ants crawling around. Apparently he was drinking while cutting trees...bad idea. )
Heh, I stumbled upon Windshear and the Back Bow of Fate completely by accident on my first playtrough. On Windshear, I wanted to do a scenic escape from the boat, and when climbing, I found the sword, said "cool" and tucked it in my house as a trophy, never to be used in that entire playtrough. And on the Black Bow, I found one of the Crystals, was intrigued by it, since it has the name of a Dwemer ruin, got most of the crystals, tried it many times, and failed, until hours, or maybe days later, I stumbled on the silt strider guy, he sold the last piece, went in there and spent a whole day trying to get the combination right, until I did it, and found the mosty beautiful bow ever, ever since, the locations of the crystals and the combinations have been burnt onto my brain.
Sorry to tell you, but the combination is on the gates, look at the gate you need to open, look slightly up. And it will show you what you need to put in
Woooow I’m so happy with this video! This is not clickbait finally! Not the 10 rarest most unique items you didn’t know about that everyone knows about!
I feel many curious players would find the Notched Pickaxe just because it's the famously tallest mountain, we must climb it, and honestly we'd be disappointed if nothing was there.

I found wind shear on my own, I was playing the quest and thought “this would be a great place for a hidden weapon” and literally it was right there. Same with the notched pickaxe
you mention that the woodsman's friend gets lost once the hearthfire dlc house is built... but i distinctly remember this not being the case, and if it is its 100% unintentional, likely the axe clipping through the ground... the house is up on top of the hill around the corner, well away from the spot where the woodsman's friend spawns. ... i always thought it was a shame that the axe couldnt be used as a woodcutting axe, considering.
I got Auriels shield legit on my own in my 1st playthrough of Dawnguard back on 360 and same goes for the Woodsman friend but there the only 2 I got legit. Didn't even know about the Circlet one.

Soul cairn gets a bit samey, lack of a map is annoying considering its so large compared to landmarks and lines of sight, but Black Reach and the Veil are distinct enough in their layout to learn and see where you are, and are so unique compared to the rest of the lands of Skyrim
@@KaiCalimatinus I can see why people would dislike that. I found it pretty exhilarating because it wasn't like other areas in Skyrim, where there were things you had to find without waypoints or detailed maps. Soul Cairn is worth exploring for console players (hint: console peeps can't download and install the Blaze of Eventide horse mod from the Nexus), especially players on the Switch. You can get Arvak there. You can then summon Arvak anywhere you are, with exceptions being he can't be called out in towns or dungeons. You also have the Boneman summon spells, the locket of St. Jiub, and a few other nifty things. Well worth the time and effort to spend time there getting everything possible.
@1:30 the woodsmans friend axe is generally found by most players who have the Hearthfire pack, and have bought the land to build their own house. I discovered this axe within 20 minutes of starting my house build PS, you can still find it way after building Lakeview manor. My friend has just found it, after she has completed the game and has built all her houses completely
I was surprised the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince wasn't on the list. Good vid and learned something new. I didn't realize the circlet from that merchant existed.
I found Windshear by accident after wanting a cool screenshot. I didn't realize not every assassin wanted to look like the ultimate assassin by having them on the end of the ship with an army of elite soldiers dead behind them.
Revyn Sandri can be a vendor worth visiting to do his “return the ring by being a sneaky sneak type person” favor quest and then have him as a Speech trainer. And NOT because training Speech is all that wonderful, but it could be useful for your build to help quickly get to the Speech perk that lets you sell anything to any merchant, which then lets you use merchants that are also trainers relentlessly, so long as you have a good source of high value things to sell. Absolute favorite hidden item is Bolar's Oathblade. It can't be acquired after the "Ill Met by Moonlight" quest, so I think that it counts as hidden. It's an enchanted Blades Sword, and it comes with a note. A really cool and fairly powerful early game item.
I just found this today and was enjoying it!

In all my years of playing Skyrim..I've never found Windshear other than the uhh...corpse...
the corpse?
Windshear was the only thing I got on this list without knowing beforehand
@@Vijay-tg7hf Our best fwend Nazir...
I found it but i dont think thats how i got it though, im pretty sure i got it from some other ship who had a enemy that equipped it
That's not Windshear though, that's just a scimitar. Windshear has unique effects that a scimitar will not
Im like 95% Revyn Sadri's circlet is a quest item for one of the fishing jobs for Delvin in the Thieves Guild
@Hydra its more like a Side Story like the Civil War that you can get involved in cuz either way you interact with them during the main quest
Items I found on my own:
Akaviri sword
Auriel’s shield
Notched pickaxe
St. Jiub’s locket
Highly doubt that
Chair Gang why ? Some people put hundreds of hours into rpgs because they try to uncover everything on their own. The only one on his list I found on my own was the pick axe but it’s not unbelievable or worth lying about
@@Purriah your telling me for the shield he randomly decided to grab a item off a table that's in a random corner find a hidden door and then go to a certain place that's not marked it anything or even the way of the main quest and do something to the portal and kill falmer that are there and loot their bodies and that's just for 1 and not even all the steps for it
Chair Gang I did, while heading towards the main sanctum I found the broken down portal door and notice the dialogue for a action pop up and since I had already killed one of the frost giants (the diamond one to be specific) I stuck it in there and that’s how I found out the mechanic, once u knew how they worked I sorta just proceeded normally and placed the jug on the alter, found the ruby paragon, and traveled back to stick it in. It’s not super complicated but easy to miss
Two outta 4 I got on my one, the first & third one
Pretty sure in the 360 days I got everything out of the Vail. As I rather enjoyed that zone and I was a collector in my first playthrough.
My brother “accidentally” did the hardest thing just because he had the mentality “I gotta go hard af”’
I have to admit this is a very impressive video. I’ve put thousands of hours into this game and found windshear and the notched pickaxe on my ow by I’ve never even heard of the other items. Thank you for doing all of that research
I don't know why, but I actually enjoy Blackreach, The Forgotten Veil, and The Soul Cairn.
I did too. Really enjoyed exploring all those areas. The Veil and Cairn really rewarded exploration.
Soul cairn gets a bit samey, lack of a map is annoying considering its so large compared to landmarks and lines of sight, but Black Reach and the Veil are distinct enough in their layout to learn and see where you are, and are so unique compared to the rest of the lands of Skyrim
I liked blackreach but that's it
@@KaiCalimatinus I can see why people would dislike that. I found it pretty exhilarating because it wasn't like other areas in Skyrim, where there were things you had to find without waypoints or detailed maps. I found it pretty calming and fun to explore, but I also loved the Veil. Blackreach was okay but I much preferred Soul Cairn and Veil to it.

If I'm not worried about time or anything, I usually quite like the bit in the cairn and just comb it for everything but it got a little frustrating walking in circles sometimes.
Course I guess I can see how the Lost Souls feel now!
I actually like being in the forgotten vale. It's one of my favorite locations in skyrim
I think the only one of these I found was the notched pickaxe due to my obsession with jumping off the tops of mountains.
Also, a modlist video at some point?
same for me but due to my obsession with climbing all over everything I can in elderscrolls games... who needs roads when you can go over the mountains.
I actually really did find the notched pickaxe on my own the first time i ever played skyrim which was in VR
The Notched Pick was one of these I found in my first few playthroughs cuz I wanted to whirlwind sprint off the top of that mountain xD
I like to jump off and use the “become ethereal” shout to see if I can survive the fall
Camel I've been watching you for quite a while and you've honestly are the reason I was introduced into fallout and skyrim and so I thank you for that. Love you man.
I discovered this axe within 20 minutes of starting my house build
PS, you can still find it way after building Lakeview manor. My friend has just found it, after she has completed the game and has built all her houses completely
There is a steel dagger called bloodthorn at the end of Hag's End near the dead witch
list of items i got my self with no previous knowledge
1. predators grace boots
2. notched pick ax
3. locket of saint jib
Lopside2313 oh man these are the same ones I got. What about the dragon priest staff that shoots fire? It is just as powerful
Richard Pickman did ur dad touch u
Accidentally found windshear while screwing around on the ship seeing how high I could get
I was surprised the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince wasn't on the list. Good vid and learned something new. I didn't realize the circlet from that merchant existed.
"Don't forget his mask"
Doesn't take his mask
I found Windshear by accident after wanting a cool screenshot. I didn't realize not every assassin wanted to look like the ultimate assassin by having them on the end of the ship with an army of elite soldiers dead behind them.
I found windshear as i tried to do a Assassin creed jump to the water
Revyn Sandri can be a vendor worth visiting to do his “return the ring by being a sneaky sneak type person” favor quest and then have him as a Speech trainer. And NOT because training Speech is all that wonderful, but it could be useful for your build to help quickly get to the Speech perk that lets you sell anything to any merchant, which then lets you use merchants that are also trainers relentlessly, so long as you have a good source of high value things to sell. Alchemy is great for this.
