Love your video. My son introduced me to your channel. I have been (secretly lol) interested in creating dreadlocks for a long time. And yours was the most entertaining and easy to understand that I have found. And for a 77 yr old grandmother, that means the world to me. Thank you for sharing.
my favorite thing about this video is that your using a freaking pen and paper in 2016. Its a big deal to me because of how wrapped around electronics people are. especially now. i just thought that was awesome lol. im weird like that
I'm so sad I chopped off my waist length hair. I really wanted dreads but I couldn't figure out how to find someone to do them. In 3 years I will hit you up! lol
I can't go over about a week without washing my dreads. I guess it's just the way my scalp is. I've had this set for over a year and it's always been like that. I've tried to get on a schedule where I wash them less but my scalp won't have it...
The only dread videos I have seen are yours and you have helped me have the confidence to make my own, well this time. Mine are not as nice as yours are but I love mine. Thank you so much for your tips!
I'm looking to get dreads soon, I've actually been wanting dreads since I was 16. I absolutely love your locks they look full, neat and full of life! so my question is, how many do you have, I have thick hair and I just want the full look..any advice would be great! thank you :)
I have been watching your videos and I have wanted dreads since I was a teenager I am now 40 and planning to go off grid in 3 years I am so excited I found you on here my niece has just separated my hair and tonight we will start the process of dreading them up. I will tag you in my photos of the process
Your dreads really are beautiful and freshy looking.I also have pink, straight hair but I have watched lots of dread videos lately and U are giving me a big inspiration to get those also:)PLUR 4 You guys!
how do you get dread wax out?? I started on the bottom & there is wax all in my undreaded hair. I can't even begin dreading the rest because it's so sticky . I've scrubbed & scrubbed with shampoo. I wish I had never put any beewax in my hair! I cannot get it out!
Does anyone know if i can change my hair color after the hair is dreaded? I have purple tips and it really took to my hair so it's taking forever to fade out. I made a few dreads and want to do more because I'm impatient, but will I be able to change the color after dreading? I tend to change color often and don't want to be stuck with purple dreads.
I had dreadlocks 3 yrs ago and a lot of them broke so I decided to cut them in 2015 but I just made some again 3 days ago. Yayyyyyy, so any advice on what I can do to avoid dread breakage?
What about sleeping with them? Do I stuff them in a cap, do I put them in a wrap? Do I wear a cap and let the ends flow what's the best method to go? 🤔
New to your Chanel, love it 😍 and you 😍 I was wondering if you have done a vid on dread maintenance?, I need to fix where I have thin and thick parts in my dreads. Thanks
Hey love your channel! Quick question: I'm strongly considering getting dreads and was wondering do they put stress/tension on your scalp and how much? Thanks :)
I don't think you got an answer so here's a fantastic site and I've put the particular article about beads and such: ragingrootsstudio.com/when-can-i-start-adding-hair-wraps-andor-beads-to-my-dreadlocks/
So I'm thinking of getting dreads...I work out about 5 to 6 days per week. When I work out I sweat a lot and look as if I just took a shower. (Gross I know) Will it be OK to have my hair wet (with sweat) that often?
Eeks. My skin care routine is really quite non existent! Apricot oil on my face and body for moisturizer. Dr. Bronners every few days to wash. OR an exfoliant from lush, like Let The Good Time's Roll.
Hey i love your videos ! Ive wanted dreads for a long time but my hair is short about shoulder lenght at the moment. I was wondering how i go about adding human hair extensions so when my hair shrinks i dont look silly or at least to have it long enough to be able to put it up. Can u please please make a video elaborating on the extensions you recommend for people with short hair :) thank you so much love your channel.
Omg....I am new to your channel and have seen one other video you’ve made about crocheting dreads. Cannot tell you how fortunate I feel for stumbling upon your channel. I am a professional but first I am human and have been pulled towards dreading and growing dreads. Super anxious as I don’t have anyone with experience to dread for me but have faith I will get there as well! In the meantime, thank you for all of your informative content and crisp energy! ❤️🌟🙏🏼😉
Finally someone i can talk to you about this. I have baby fine hair and im 65 and im tired of my hair constantly falling out. I thought about bix braids but i done have $500 to do that. So dreads are now in my sight to look at. I'd love to have sister locks but don't know if that would be possible with my hair type. I sont want thick locks at all, so im guessing having more smaller locks will cost more, and thats if i can even find someone local that does them. Ive watched videos how to do them, but oy vey i dont think i have that kind of stamina, so id i have to do them myself, should i do underneath first or on top and work in towards the scalp? Hope these arent to many questions from an od lady! Shalom!
Hi there! Dreads might be a great option for you. Start on the bottom row and get your practice where it’s not as noticeable. You’ll get practice and can slowly work your way up! Make them thin, not too thin, and they will thicken up over time. Take your time doing each one, row by row, and you’ll gain confidence throughout! Don’t over maintain them. You should be just fine! We have a kit with an additional course to help you, if needed. 🫶

Hey, I would love to get dreadlocks but I study and work at a stable. I was wondering if the horse smell would stay in my dreads all the time? I don't want to smell like horses all the time. Hi I know it's been 2 months, but having dreads is the same as long hair, it takes forever to dry. Also try applying shampoo to only your scalp and lather with scalp massage motions.
