So glad you came across that alligator, that poor baby was looking thin! I wonder how long it was stuck down there. I love seeing humans being angels for animals. I believe it's why we're here. I pray the poor little cherub makes it and thrives now 🤍
@@C0lt42 they're the loves of my life. Idk what I'd do without them, frankly. My reptilian children have gotten me through some dark times; they are doing so this very moment. I find the absolute most joy in serving innocents and nature's creatures. There is no more fulfilling thing in existence 🥰
Thanks for helping me survive 2020. Your videos entertained, educated, and inspired me during lockdown, so much so that I really began doing my own herping in earnest. I found abandoned places, built flip sites, and taught my son about these beautiful animals as we found them. It was a tough year for all, but admiring these animals through your videos and in my own region kept me going. Thank you, and best to you in 2021.
Much love brother. You actually got my son and I into herping. He's 7 and can distinguish the difference between a copperhead vs cottonmouth and also king snake vs coral, which are the usual suspects in misidentification. Thank you for being you.
I don’t know how you spot those critters like you do. Even the ones on the roads. You are filming them and I can’t even see them until the close-up. And I need to thank you for teaching so much. I never thought I would be able to watch snakes on a video, let alone feel compassion for them. Happy New Year!
This man is so humble he rescued that alligator. Then covered up the hole with something then just went right along with the video with a snake and a toad keep up the good work you wend a new acriber
You did a great job, Noah! Thanks for not leaving that gator there....but I didn't think you would, anyway. So glad you got to see a gator while you were here! And I think the way you guys handled it was perfect!
Just incase it hasn't been said yet(I didnt look through the comments) THANK YOU for saving that alligator!! I wouldn't put it past another not so kind person to actually see it and just walk away and let it suffer!! Oh boy did I start to worry when y'all were trying to figure out who was going down there to get it out!🤦 its those smaller one that can spin around on ya super fast amd regardless of its health they will put up a fight to defend themself until they have nothing left!! Y'all care so much for each herp you come across and thank you for making these amazing videos to share with us!! It's nice watching a video these days and it helps with the quarantine, iys almost like being right there with you!!
Great end of year video ... I think it was the only safe way to get him out the well and keep all 3 of you intact ... Let’s hope 2021 will eventually be a great year for all of us 🦖
That was awesome that you found that gator. Now he can enjoy the new year. Great job brother and happy new year. Can't wait to see what you find this year.
There's a well like that in the woods near my house. Its about 6 feet deep. Over the years I've rescued 2 emaciated black ratsnakes from the well. I took them home and rehabilitated them for about a month. When they gained weight I released them. Unused wells really are death traps and should be filled in with gravel.
Isn’t it possible the gator swam into the sewer pipe instead of falling in the well? I see gators in sewer pipes all the time while visiting everglades area.
Episode 99: That's a rap for 2020 Episode 100: Hold my corona For such a crappy overall year in the history of years, this was a cool way to end. Nice rescue guys!
Do you think the gator came through that clay pipe at the bottom of the well or did he fall in? Seems like maybe the pipe leads to water somewhere in the area.
Great video! I came for the alligator and stayed for the salamanders. I live in West Virginia, so as you know, I'm in a place with a variety of salamander species. I've subscribed, so I hope to see more reptiles and amphibians. Respect and Blessings from WV. 🙏
I'm glad you guys rescued that gator. A little rough, sure, but seemed like the only realistic option. Good job. Whatever discomfort he felt is nothing compared to being trapped like that, and compared to the long life he will probably live after being rescued
I hope you contacted the state/county regarding the open well. It looked like a manhole for a sewage/drainage system of some kind. It needs a proper cover on it.
Obviously great job rescuing that poor doomed young alligator.....who says herpers are annoying pests disrupting nature?? My own experience was not quite the same but during my many visits to the WPB Florida great Arthur Marshall State Park (highly recommended by the way!!) whilst residing for years in Boca Raton, Florida.........I came upon a nest of alligator babies hatchlings that disbursed out all across the busy parking lot. My deal was stopping the numerous cars from parking and crushing these poor newborns but as I did so their nonappreciative guarding mom was crashing out from her nest area near the park's central visitor's center and attacking me as I attempted to scoop up her babies from getting squished from careless driver's car tires!! Fortunately the local rangers showed up and assisted with capturing these babies from the bust parking lot and getting them back into the swampy protected waterways behind this center and keeping mom at bay!! Freaky experience but also a memorable one!! Jim C.
Wow. What a predicament! I hope you called someone about that well. That could have been a child down there, or someone's dog, or even more wildlife could get trapped!
Nro you guys handled that perfectly, the only thing you could have done more would have been taken him to a reptile shelter. But it would have been some serious extra effort to accomplish. Great job guys.
Yeah sure the alligator probably was not amused with his method of rescue. But had you guys not come across him there in the well he would have most likely died. Great job on the rescue and all of the Herping videos.

That alligator did look really skinny
he has been down there a LONG time, alligators can go long periods without eating and losing weight, hes been down there for more than a month
@@sirforest9453 wow. That poor poor thing. Thank God he was rescued. Breaks my heart to think of him down there scared and alone. Life is rough 😔

I hope it is.
1000 likes in 9hrs definitely popular for the herping community
I think it will be because it got recommended to me and I don't even watch this kind of videos

He’s doing better than most 40 year olds here, gotta get them hooked while they’re young haha.

They are actually way easier to spot irl than in a video.
Mad respect for personally trying to get the gator out. Shows how much you care. Keep Herping!
That spotless spotted salamander is AWESOME!!
You guys are amazing! Thank goodness you found that gator, and thank you so much for saving em.
Bless that alligators heart!!! Thank you for reaching him and saving him. And for covering the hole!
Amazing, that spotless spotted salamander is stunning!
Thats a sanitary sewer manhole not a well, wonder where the manhole lid went??
Not good, someone needs to fix that, lest more poor babies fall down there!
Alligator probly ate it
Probably scrap thieves took the manhole cover to try to make a quick buck
Poor little guy.
Great job. Love seeing people helping animals

should they have waited til it rained and maybe the alligator could still be alive and swim out?
Yeah that could have been possible.
That’s exactly what I thought, I didn’t see any water around where they released it.hopefully it was able to find some in time

this is a BANGER
that rope was nothing for an alligator. You saved his life. Thank you!
Nice finds!
Love that you fished that gator out, even if he was an ungrateful little beast ❤️
Man that was a sweet spotless spotted!!!
Was that a spotless Spotted or a marbleless Marbled? (or combo of the two?)
@FireoftheGreeks by combo you mean hybrid?
Too big to be a Marbled.
I absolutely loved this! Thank you! I’m so jealous! I wish I was doing that.
