Thank you for your videos, I have to say thanks to you and your reptile knowledge I have loss the fear of snakes I have always had! I tell everyone that have questions about snakes to check your videos out bc they have truly helped me loose fear and gain respect for these beautiful animals. Thank you 😊 🙏🏼
great spot,im in texas and we had a drought in 2011 then 2013 and it really did a number,i dont see hardly anything anymore, its sad, mostly all i see where i live and im in some deep woods in a national forest is timber rattlers which are super friendly but ive seen a few snakes so far,rat snake, water snake, coral snake, you guys are so lucky to see kings,i havent seen a king snake in like 20 yrs or more.good luck and keep having fun guys.take care.
Let's go! New post! Awesome herps! You finding that brownsnake in the water reminded me of the time when we flipped a door that was partially sumbmerged that had a black king in the water!
Noah, you never disappoint. Great videos. I caught my first eastern gartersnake and my first black ratsnake today. (4/24/21). Caught the gartersnake in my back yard, and the rat snake at the field where I play softball.
You guys had some really nice finds. My last adventure I found a little more than I expected when I almost stepped on a rattlesnake hiding in the grass!
I found a population of small mouthed salamanders in Oakland county for the first time in 80 or so years around a little vernal pool in the middle of the woods
Without having actively gone pn dedicated herping trips, I've seen a brpwn snake, a corn, what I'm pretty sure was a racer, a pair of rats, and an eastern worm. I don't remember ever seeing a watersnake in the wild. What are some of these places around Metro Atlanta you're going to see so many of them?
Awesome video guys! The snakes were OUT!! Too bad you didn’t do a count, cuz you guys saw a LOT! I wish I knew someone who would take me out herping. I have never touched a snake, but after watching your videos I really want to hold a small one. I really enjoy watching your videos Noah. Thank you for doing what you do! 😄❤️🐬
@@chasemurraychristopherdola7108 I mean we get grass snakes and smooth snakes aswell although smooth snakes are incredibly rare and basically illegal to actively search for
You should get a pair of snake boots. They are waterproof so you don’t have to worry about mud and it is a lot less likely you will be bitten if you step on a snake.
For my whole life of being in places like those here in SW Mississippi, hunting, atving, riding dirt bikes etc i never realized i was surrounded by snakes. Ive probably sat down by a tree right beside one.
Wow your so blessed with some fantastic reptiles in the states,I’m so jealous as in England we only have three snake species which are grass snakes smooth snakes and the adder which are very rare!✌️
Amanda here, John and I own a house and land in Mentone. I left a remark on your Instagram. Big fans! We regularly come across critters slithering and swimming, we know nothing about.
I know I've asked this before But, would you be willing to come up to Gwinnett county Ga (Dacula) and herp around the Mulberry/Little Mulberry public park and see what you can find there ? Plenty of water/Creek area along with open fields, woodlands, to search around and in and it's a huge park so plenty to explore.
First of all I think it's amazing how you can see these things I can't even see them after you've pointed them out lol. Second and it's pretty cool you know what all these things are unless you're cheating haha. Awesome videos keep it up!
Hey man, I saw a blue racer the other day but it got clipped by a car. A real bummer. I've never seen one before and it was so beautiful and healthy looking. I brought it out to a deep grassy area in case it had a chance. This was here in GA. Sad.
Just saying but I have the copes grey tree frog right in neighborhood and like my neighbor across the street used to complain a lot about the sounds that the frog was making
I take my dog for a walk this morning, and I find a hatchling slider turtle in the ditch. Then I watch this video and see a huge snapping turtle. (Relocated baby turtle across the street to a better location)
QUESTION??!!?? And forgive me if this has been covered before, just found your channel. By your phrasing it seams like a lot of the tins and such your flipping you set out. I get that on private land but do you ever worry about getting in trouble for littering/ dumping when it’s public land. Not A criticism, just genuinely curious. Thanks love the content !!!
Never stop featuring the amphibians! I love them and I've learned a lifetime of ID'ing info from watching your videos. Thanks man!
Water snake bonanza! Love how Greg shows up and turtles appear en masse... turtle whisperer 😁
Noah: We almost got hit by a tornado.
Also Noah: Now we're looking at frogs.

It means the world to me to hear that! Glad you’re enjoying them!
its just like being along, you guys are so cool and informative
The woods and the swamp use to be my favorite place when I was a kid. Id bring home snakes and turtles and things and drive my mother crazy.
Thanks for not hurting the animals guys. Love the videos
I wish I had friends that would go out and look for snakes with me like you.
Same
Same
Well now I've met 3 girls who like herping so yea that's cool.
How would you all find anyone to go with you?
I absolutely love seeing all the critters you find. I wish I had further explored Georgia when I lived there.
Great channel. Love the "Welcome" mat in the middle of the swamp!
i used to do this all the time when i was a kid; great nostalgia trip keep up the great content!
Finally, some queen snakes ! Really cool and very docile snakes, thanks for showing !

Just crushing in the SE this year. Nicely done. That baby snapper, c'mon man.
Let's go! New post! Awesome herps! You finding that brownsnake in the water reminded me of the time when we flipped a door that was partially sumbmerged that had a black king in the water!
Awesome, everything is awesome!. What a awesome snake and awesome weather, awesome.
What’s the best artificial cover to attract snakes?
Tin is probably best

.”Greg’s out there doing turtle stuff.” 😂😂😂
How are the tick's this year?
Outstanding question.. they probably infested
@@dmimz8593 A couple of weeks ago my 6 year old had one on her arm. That was the first week of April...Early, IMO. We're in Virginia.
Their getting pretty bad
Yea man if you have kids check them thoroughly... and don’t forget pets. The deer ticks are tiny. Idk if there’s a repellent like for mosquitoes...
@@dmimz8593 No doubt! "TICK CHECK," My daughter says now when we come in from outside.
You guys had some really nice finds. My last adventure I found a little more than I expected when I almost stepped on a rattlesnake hiding in the grass!
I caught a very rare frog that has not been found in 11 years in Michigan, it is called a Blanchards Cricket Frog.
I found a population of small mouthed salamanders in Oakland county for the first time in 80 or so years around a little vernal pool in the middle of the woods
That last frog was like a picture, like to pretty too be real... Great video as always 👍

Nice King Snake!
I like how he can find these tiny snakes and I can’t find a freaking snake at all
I've only seen garter snakes, Ringnecks, and racers. It might be the location though
@@DizzyDuo so far this year I’ve found an injured black racer, a brown snake, and a worm snake. I want to find a king snake or a rat snake
Would bet he speaks parseltongue.
@@ethancooper1560 same, I really want to find a king snake this year. I've never seen one but they live in my city
I've only seen garters and rarely....
Thank you for posting this content. Your videos made me feel safe to pick up snakes (only handling browns and ring necks). What does NC2 mean?
in situ: in its original place
Snappers are so cool. I love em
In the UK it would be a very successful day just to see snake
I wonder what kind of snakes would be productive in the uk because the only snakes I can think of is The Venomous Adder
@@chasemurraychristopherdola7108 I mean we get grass snakes and smooth snakes aswell although smooth snakes are incredibly rare and basically illegal to actively search for
@@markpearson5018 oh okay At first I thought that you were talking about the adder

Are the swampy areas not a habitat for rattlesnakes? Just wondering them found in dryer brush areas and sand.
Man, that king is CRISP

Where i live all we have are garter snakes, and bull snakes, the only rattlesnakes in our area are 4 hours away!!!
I have a eastern king snake that lives in my back yard near a dead tree stump he has been living here for the past 4-5 yrs Paulding Co. Ga..
Come to NY and teach me how to look for snakes here
Great video....Especially like the turtles!
1:23 successfully road cruised a wild person!
3:50 is that cooter green ? nah probably just the way the light is shining on it : - )
Thanks for the frogs 🐸 ❤ 🐸 ❤

Dude if it's that one EF4 tornado I feel for you! I have lots of friends in that town and my family lives in the town next over. Glad you're okay!
Turtle is in a bad ass class of its own....whew!

Can u tall me how u got so good at identifying and have u ever picked up a cottonmouth by mistake
You're lucky..I,too can never find snakes and such.Of course I live in northern Alaska
That turtle was chill
How did u see that lizard at the beginning!?
Where do you get the roofing tin?
14:42 uhm.... excuse me but did that kingsnake just squeak..?
I have a king snake. He still baby boy but I named him Nagimi. I’m a bit scared to hold him until he gets bigger since he’s super small and he bites
Does that king bite you every year?
I thought Atlanta was put of cottonmouth range?
Parts of the metro are, but they’re fairly common in both the South and West side suburbs.
I would love to know where you hunt and would like to link up! I have several areas that we could herp in south ga!
Is it weird that I think Turtles and Snakes are cute?
Also, 14:23 snake yawn
How often do you Herp in Cherokee County ?
Can you get infections from those "harmless" snake bites that you laugh at?
Thanks for the video
Ur herping vids r the best. I’m pretty sure you’re tired of hearing that from me.... 😂
Great stuff as always
Come to western Kentucky!! Please.

In my country there are no snakes...
Great video!
What country do you live in?
I’m surprised you haven’t found and cicadas
Nice video!!!
They put the cover then come and check on it later?
They usually set it months before it’s not a short process
Sometimes takes years for things to take home under set cover
How can u see such small things
Beautiful king
Its herping season baby
14:42 s’wat it’s all about xD
(Harmless) 🤨
If it can bite me that shit is not harmless 😂
Atlanta zone 6??
i got bit by a snapping turtle around that size a few days ago, it severed a nerve in my finger so I cant feel it now.
Great God! Sorry man
Tiny snakes eat bugs?
I found a huge new England water snake the other day I live in Massachusetts
I’ll watch one of his videos- get jelouse- go set out more tin- go be sad cause i can’t find snakes- then watch another video
wow so cool
Man I swear that little snapper looked like an alligator snapper. Normally don't see the features on shell like that on commons.
it kinda does but younger snappers have more defined shell shapes. It is definitely a common
First
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos but dang when that King snake bit you I jumped! Scared the crud out of me.
Since when is it called herping lol . Always thought it was dicking around in the woods
May start following this channel so I know where NOT to move.
Hate to break it to you, but there’s reptiles and amphibians basically everywhere, except maybe far north or south.
That king has plenty to eat
Go find a water moccasin but don’t get too close!
just wanted to say I'm a big fan of catching snakes well Gater snakes
I take my dog for a walk this morning, and I find a hatchling slider turtle in the ditch. Then I watch this video and see a huge snapping turtle.

I had a snapping turtle about that big in my pond and he stunk so bad. I smelled him before i saw him. He was mean as hell too .
So many snakesssss
I think e. Kings are most important.
